I'm torn between liking and not liking this series, real Feud vibes. On one hand the ending and some of the dialogues were really good, and the cinematography was stunning, it's a beautiful series to look at. On the other hand I found a lot of things confusing, maybe it was the storytelling style, I'm not sure. I feel like this story needed at least 40 episodes. At times it felt like a lot was cut out, and if the arcs had been better developed it would've definitely been stronger. I've been feeling this way about some Chinese dramas lately, stories that really need a minimum of 40 episodes but they squeeze it into 32 and some things end up feeling rushed while others drag on. I’m giving it an 8 just because it’s visually so beautiful.

I'm on episode 15 and finding it really confusing because sometimes I can't tell if they went back in time, if it's just a flashback, or if they're back in the present now.
Like when they fall after he finds out who she was, she sees a wedding, then after a few episodes in the past, out of nowhere it jumps to the sect with them looking for the two of them...... It's all very confusing. I feel so dumb 😭😭😭😭😭

BTW, their story in the human realm is kinda meh, and they don’t even feel like a couple...more like friends, I don’t know.

I love all of Bai Lu’s dramas, but in this one, after he finds out that she’s Hua Ru Yue, things kind of get lost. I don’t know...... I’m not liking where this is going.

So like I said, it’s not a huge issue, but I kinda wish both leads were just normal.... Usually in older ones the guy is super experienced and the girl’s a virgin, and now it’s kinda the opposite. In this drama it makes sense since she goes back in time and all, so I get it.

Anyway, I’m not trying to criticize this show itself, but in others shows just feels kinda weird in today's world to have a rich hot male lead who's never been with anyone. Not really my vibe but yeah 😭😭😭

it’s really just a light comedy, like a live-action manhwa. I think it’s good and fits exactly what it set out to be, it’s just something to enjoy without expecting it to be fully historically accurate. It’s not meant to be super serious, in my opinion...

Of course, youre totally right. I don't think it's a big problem... I'm just pointing out that it's kind of a 'thing' in K-dramas now haha.

No comparing tho, Till the End of the Moon was a masterpiece as well

Wow, I thought I was going to dehydrate watching this. Honestly, when it first came out I was going through a tough time and I never would have been able to watch it back then. But I am really glad I gave it a second chance and watched this masterpiece. I knew that with Bai Lu it was impossible for the series to be bad. I just was not mentally prepared for it hahah.

But two things kind of disappointed me. I really wanted a romantic moment between Fu Ya and Nian Bai Yu. And honestly, until the last 30 seconds, the series was a ten. But that seashell moment with his consciousness trapped there forever really stressed me out. I would have preferred if he had just stayed dead, less suffering than being stuck like that unable to do anything. It would have been better if it was just her and their daughter.....

I finished it and I have to say it is a perfect series in every aspect: the acting, the set design, the costumes. Truly a work of art. Visually stunning. The script? EXCELLENT. Every character has a purpose. Such a beautiful story.

I’ve tried to watch this when it came out, but Tantan Jin suffered so much that I couldn’t watch any more episodes, it seemed plausible to me that he became evil after everything. Now I think I’m stronger............ I’m gonna watch this. Pray for me

Why do they keep putting killers, psychos, or villains in stories where they don’t even fit? It’s so unnecessary, like… WTF. And it happens a LOT in these new dramas. Such a vibe killer and so boring, lol.

Such a shame they used this couple in a series like this... but of course that's just my opinion. If you're into a more intimate vibe and slow burn romance (well, at least on his side since she basically fell for him the moment she saw him) then this series might be for you.

I loved their chemistry but the story is just too boring and the whole series is way too dark, like the filter, for what I was expecting given the title hahaha. I gave it a shot until episode 14 but honestly slowburns just aren't really my thing. That said I think the main leads are amazing, I already liked both of them from other shows. The side characters and their stories didn’t grab me either. Sadly I'm dropping this one.

Aside from the parts where she likes him and tries to help with his illness I thought the rest was pretty bad, most of it felt like filler. Maybe if they had focused more on the two of them and cut down the number of episodes it would have been better. Also the filter choice made everything look way too dark and totally changed the vibe, it didn’t feel like a romance comedy sometimes...

I still haven’t gotten over this series............................
