I felt the same way, it really feels more realistic. I do miss a bit of comedy, and sometimes I feel the male…
I really think this show was missing some comedy, but with the way the main characters are, it wouldn't have fit in anyway hahaha. AND Dynamite Kiss went totally downhill. It had a great start but completely lost the plot halfway through. Same goes for My Royal Nemesis....... It started out GREAT and I genuinely thought it would be the best of the year but halfway through it completely fell apart..
See You at Work gets a bit boring sometimes, but at least they stayed consistent right up to the end haha. It gives major 2010 script vibes, back when they were obsessed with France, learning French, and moving abroad to work in some random country
Tend to agree with you liked the more mature FL and ML roles in a kdrama for a change.. Liked the communication…
I finished it feeling exactly like that. Sometimes I felt bored, but other times I was curious to see how it was going to end hahahah.
I think it was mistagged as a rom com. There is some comedy, but not much of that goofy, cheesy kind. It is more of an 'I am going through a breakup and still have to put up with my boss's crap at work' kind of comedy. To me, it is more of a romance/drama
Tend to agree with you liked the more mature FL and ML roles in a kdrama for a change.. Liked the communication…
I love Business Proposal too!! But they are just dramas with very different premises (which is exactly where people end up disappointed). AND YES, it really does have more of a J-drama vibe hahah! (See You at Work has that vibe)
I haven't watched Love Your Enemy yet, but it has been on my watchlist for a long time... Lately I haven't been able to finish kdramas, I'm finding them all really bad. Just the fact that I managed to finish See You at Work is already a win for me, because at some points it was definitely a bit dull, yeah

Yes, exactly! I think most people tend to come in expecting a rom-com like Business Proposal, and when they're met with something more realistic without much comedy, they give it a bad rating. I think for what the series sets out to be, they did a really great job
And just like I mentioned here before: if this were any other year with strong K-drama releases, this one would easily be overlooked as one of the weaker ones. But honestly, this year has been so bad for romance K-dramas that I actually do consider this a good romance......... with a good script and good acting for what it sets out to do!!!
I think it's more of a slice of life kind of drama. It has romance, even with a few little problems, but nothing overly dramatic or intensely passionate. It's more like a romance between two grounded and "normal" adults, just like thousands of couples who meet at work.
Itβs the kind of series you watch on a long holiday weekend, on a Sunday afternoon, or something like that. I really liked the FL, even though I think she overthinks and blows things out of proportion in her head (when it comes to their problems), especially considering she put up with way, way worse from her ex...
Regarding the chemistry, I think Seo In-guk has had better, but it's not something that ruins the drama. Itβs meant to be slow and that's the whole premise of the show.
If you're not really into slice of life or slower paced dramas, I suggest skipping this one. But if you like a more realistic romance with a slower pace, this one is good!
Well. I'm on episode 22 and found it dragging π€£ don't feel the chemistry btw the leads yet. She constantly…
I don't really like the main actress that much, but I liked this character of hers and I think she did well in this drama, a very strong and determined woman (which suits her since conveying emotions isn't really her strong suit hahahaha)
Now the second couple....... their story is waaaaay better developed and they have sooooo much chemistry

Good lord... I think she has way more chemistry with Prince Lie and his brother (her ex-husband) than with the ML lol. I honestly find that storyline better too. So far, her plot with the ML just feels like filler instead of the main focus... it's so weird. But honestly, I think it's just an issue with the actress. I've actually dropped another drama of hers before because she's so stiff and barely has any facial expressions, so the chemistry just doesn't flow naturally.
I am currently on ep 26 and I would say, the drama is getting more traction later on.
Thanks! I'll give it a chance and keep watching... I am enjoying the rest of the plot tho. The other characters, nuances, and subplots are good, but the main couple is a struggle for me right now
I'm on episode 11 and it's becoming really tiring to watch... I don't really like the main actress, her face has no movement AT ALL. And despite that, I was actually liking her in this... but I'm finding the main couple so boring. He is just constantly lying there sick and poisoned, and she has to keep taking care of him.
Can someone please tell me if he gets better soon? Because I don't think I can stand this endless dragging on of him being on the verge of death all the time
I prefer Recipe For Love and Can This Love Be Translated as Romance kdramas of this year over this one, this is…
NOOOOOOOOOOOO, I LOVE SEO IN GUK! HE IS SO HANDSOME, CHARMING, AND A GREAT ACTOR! I'VE WATCHED ALL HIS SHOWS... I WAS TALKING ABOUT THE MAIN ACTOR OF Can This Love Be Translated!!!!!!!!
I prefer Recipe For Love and Can This Love Be Translated as Romance kdramas of this year over this one, this is…
I think im a little bit shallow.... I dont like the male lead because I think he is way too ugly to make me want to watch a ROMANCE with him in it... ive already watched one series with the female lead, and I like her. But they always pair her with the ugliest man in South Korea (or an old man) for a romance and I just CAN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really appreciate the recommendation! It sounds like a beautifully written drama. BUT I dont know if im strong enough to do it! π For romance, I really need that visual π π π

Oh i havent watched it. Recipe For Love does look good tho... And unfortunately I'll be skipping Can This Love Be Translated (not a fan of the main actor hahaha).
But yeah, as I mentioned, if it were released in any other era, it would totally fly under the radar as just another show. But since kdramas are SOOOOOO weak right now (in my opinion) it makes this one stand out hahaha. And i totally get why most people find it slow or boring, too. There has always been this 'slice of life' niche that takes a slower pacing.
So far.... I think this is the best korean romance series of 2026..... If it had been released 10 years ago, it…
what I meant is that its good because here you actually get a GOOD SCRIPT and GOOD ACTING. Lately, you either get a good script with TERRIBLE acting, or a bad script where the actors are CARRYING EVERYTHING. In this one, you can tell everyone is at least doing their part hahaha
So far.... I think this is the best korean romance series of 2026..... If it had been released 10 years ago, it would have vanished among 15+ other top series. Unfortunately, this reflects the quality of K-dramas these days.
As for this one: it is well-written, with good actors and great chemistry. Itβs a comforting watch that brings peace to the heart. It is a good series. But as I said, if it had come out in any other year, it would just be another good show among many
and... I have a bit of an issue with Chen Du Ling because she doesn't really kiss in her dramas, or the kisses are super weak, and she always looks like she's terrified of the ML. She must have a super jealous husband lmaooo. Whenever she's in a drama, I'm always a bit skeptical, because I end up dropping most of them since she has zero chemistry with her co-stars (except for The Glory, which I really liked). BUT since I love Zhou Yi Ran, I started this one... So far it's okay, since the main plot isn't romance anyway, but her revenge.
I THINK THAT EMPEROR KID IS SUCH A GOOD ACTOR.. AND THE CHARACTER GIVES ME MOTHERLY VIBES, LIKE I DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO HAPPEN TO THE KID PLS T_T and Xiao Xun's actor is really good!!!
its funny how taste works because i see her as very pretty max not a great beauty or anything. but you did make…
Yeah, totally! Hahah. I think she has such a natural beauty, which is probably why I pushed through this drama for so long, hahah. But unfortunately, I didn't finish it. I dropped it after episode 26. I think if you like strictly solving crimes, it's a good series, but if you're looking for romance as the main plot, this isn't for you. Like I said, they have great chemistry, but the romance isn't the focus here (and that's ok). The thing that made me drop it is that the 'main plot' (the revenge for her parents) doesn't make any progress.......... It was getting on my nerves.
