Apart from this series, I'm trying to think of other BLs where there is basically zero skinship, no hugs, no kisses or any romantic touching of any sort and I can't think of any (sorry but that last intertwined-hands moment felt like "ok let's at least give the most hardcore BL fans this tiny bit of skinship, it should make them shut up, so it doesn't count and it was really a pathetic move from the producers to be honest).
It's a Japanese BL and we all know how they show affection through words and little acts rather than physical contact and I personally wouldn't normally care about this too much but If the lack of intimacy between 2 guys is dictated by the fact it's (still) considered inappropriate or even disgusting for the audience then it becomes a huge deal. It's 2022 and it's high time to stop desexualizing gay characters to "protect" the bigot masses that could get negatively impressed and therefore stop watching the show.
All in all this wasn't a bad BL but not the best either. 7/10.
Ep. 16 made me see some light at the end of the tunnel, I'm so curious to see how things are gonna wrap up in the final episode. What a journey this has been!
It took 7 episodes for sassy queen Yai to stop playing hard to get, finally! I'm kinda glad next ep. is the last one, this series could have been sooo much better, but it is what it is. I think it's time to move on to the next BL, I'm not gonna miss these 2 to be honest.
I hope at some point Bai Lang will finally decide to seek for medical attention, we need more series talking about PTSD to raise awareness 'cause I feel like it's still a big taboo in 2022 and many people who suffer from it don't even know about it.
I would delete the last 15 minutes of this series If I could, then it would be perfect. Still, I really liked it, both Karn and Nut did a great job (I also loved them in Dear Doctor I'm Coming for Soul) so I hope they'll work together in more BLs ♥
I just finished watching this series and I really loved it! I'm gonna miss my doctor and soul reaper very much! Also, the main actors had already worked together in a previous BL called "Grey Rainbow" from 2016, I was so surprised to find them again after so many years in a new BL. For those who are unsure whether they should watch this or not, you should make yourself a favour and binge watch it right now, you won't regret it.
The suffering both Tian and Jiu went through in the last couple of episodes makes my heart ache. This lakorn totally captured my soul, for me it's a masterpiece! I can't wait to know how it's gonna end.
Wait, but how did they solve their big issue with Damian's Restaurant Investor and Jerry's YT channel? Did they explain it and I missed it? Either way, I enjoyed the 1st season more to be honest, although this one is not too bad.
P.s. I want Jerry's highschool crush in a BL as the main lead!
