I think the lack of chemistry comes from the fact that we don't really understand why the FL likes the ML so much.…
He is drop dead handsome (though not my cup of tea) so i could even buy it if she fell for hime just for his looks lol
Btw, have you watched the ML in other dramas? I was about to watch Yumi's cells 2 to check him out but i ve got so many other dramas queued.
Is he good as an actor? Cause up to now he looks a bit cold and wooden but maybe its his character i dont know

I really hope we get some kind of reason why a 1000 year old person fell so deeply romantically in love with a…
Oh god yes you're so right! Im fine if they justified it as the story progresses, by making them at least having met in other lives too. But up to now, its nonsense "soulmate" thing

They could either do it by making her come back for their past but fall in love with him gradually, OR fall in love with him at first sight-silly but it happens irl too. They didnt do either, just stick to that "soulmate" unrealtable thing which does not make sense for logical and normal human beings

Title See You in My 19th Life Spoiler
I think the lack of chemistry comes from the fact that we don't really understand why the FL likes the ML so much.…
I undrerstand her up to the point that she has a debt to him, due to their childhood friendship and innocent love, plus the fact that she had promised to her mother to take care of him. BUT, they could do it like this: she comes back to him due to the above reasons, not involving attraction or love or anything AND gradually develop such feelings as she gets to know him as an adult. That would be very natural and relatable.
But they choose the old korean dramalang cliche-childhood bonding=adult coupling just like that-no reason at all. I could even accept a "love at first sight" from her point of view, but they didnt do that either.
So sorry, for the production quality is really good, and i really love the actress.
Its an epic mistake because it has to do with the core of the drama

Title The Perfect Match Spoiler
First of all, if you hate Love Triangle you wont like this, DO NOT WATCH !!Unfortunately FL is making out with…
Thanks! I was about to continue watching though i was very annoyed since the beginning with her character. I just skipped to ep21 at the beginning and saw what you said.
I could see that coming from ep 9. The guy studied his specialty abroad, he comes back and becomes a no1 chef and she on the other hand, tried to make money using his name, he offers her the unique opportunity to learn some things for 7 days and so what? Did she become competitive enough? What kind of crappy writing is that?
From his monologue at ep21 i understood that the only thing i would watch in the rest episodes was her gaining everything she didnt deserve at the first place, and him trying to be loved and finally ending with an immature woman, her creepy bf and all his efforts wasted.
pf im not into such stories. Thanks for saving my time!

Sadly, that part of it seemed realistic. If the school sucks up to his mom that much, then of course they're going…
That happens here too-sadly its a universal thing-i know i live in a country with deep corruption everywhere
But here in the drama its very exaggerated, not in terms of "rich parent who makes the rules" but in terms of leaving the students with no punishment at all.
Parents come and go, hitting and cursing the teachers, bribing students, plotting, students go and kiss a teacher in a middle of a "Feast" organized with that purpose, its all very exaggerated to the point that it looks not realistic.
Even the school's attitude towards the teacher when they found out her relationship with the student was mild.
Normally, first thing to do is to call the teacher to apologize to a higher council or the ministry. Here....just a cold shoulder and a waiting period which led to nothing.

First time in my whole dramalife that i root for the 2FL and love rival.
She is so sensitive, well behaving (still on ep8-i dont know if she ll get worse later on) but up to now she is the kind of woman i'd like to be my friend. On the contrary i cant stand FL's character. 26yo behaving like 14 (Ok common thing in asian dramas) but still...9/10 times she thinks and talks b@sh@t
I literally wanted to slap her on their way to the hospital when she was talking to him about "law of attraction-and no matter how many times he asked her to sh@ up she didnt! And that happpened for the 2nd or 3rd time-ive lost count. Not to mention her behavior towards the whole restaurant team: she was literally using the head chef's name to make money and when he offered to teach her some things for 7 days she was like: "ok that's what you should do".
A michelin star chef takes a cook from the streets to teach her some things and instead of being thankful she's just like...pf i cant!
Her whole character i written badly-from her words to her body language and attitude. Its not Ivy Shao's fault-ive seen her in other dramas she's ok-its the writing

Overall a good watch.
Very VERY VERY annoying lighting, everything looks like a dream, esp when they wear white-beige clothes, you can hardly look at the screen. I ve heard that the director himself apologised later on, about that glowing filter he used.
Too much skinship for a chinese drama- and very well directed and executed. Finally normal people who have desires and hormones-which is very rare for chinese and korean drama heroes.
Personally it was a bit boring to me as s im not into sports in dramas, but even as such, i enjoyed it. The couple is one of the best ive ever watched in asian dramas-though they re not top notch actors, their performance was ok, after all their roles were not that demanding.
If you like sports, give it a try, im sure it has many flaws in depicting sports world, but leaving that aside, its enjoyable.
I d prefer a bit more of a comedy, since it had no plot twists or dramatic events to keep you craving for the next episode.

He's not her student. She is his coach, its not high school or anything. Its a problem same as if you have a relationship with a co-worker at office.

I will never understand why asian dramas always portray younger males as someone so childish in younger male/older…
There s a huge problem in China due to restrictions and censorship. According to the law (which should be seen even in dramas) underage people cant have a relationship even with same age. He is an adult but she is older-and for their society is still a taboo (It took me years to get it as i live in europe and things are quite different in that aspect). I didnt mind him being clingy and over childish cause ive seen men like that, even older than him. Actually it was cute cause he was a big toned and slightly muscled guy so the childish behavior made him cut and a bit funny. You re right, the sexy scenes were very nice especially for a chinese drama

First, he falls for her on the first sight. Okay. She seems to be really good, and he wants her to train him.…
Even if she was older, they re in university-not high school. And then, she's his coach and an amateur one, not even a proper professor. As for the age, its ony 7 years-if it was the other way round we wouldnt even talk about it. The training she supposed to have done to him, is just not shown-thank god cause it would be very boring. She says so to her leader when she's sayin: "he achieved that after training with me".

Oh no! I never bother with score and stuff. And i have a feeling that there were many scenes cut in post editing. Yeap the story was good, i d also like a remake in a more complete narration

This whole "maybe siblings" telenovela plot is just a useless angst because it is OBVIOUS they are not brother…
The siblings thing...Japanese did it (and soon after there was a korean remake). Dont wanna spoil you because the japanese one is truly a masterpiece. And not in a telenovela style, but a mystery -kind of-and thriller with very strong character shadings and very deep emotions

I live in Southern europe where patriarchy still exists, but in schools, if a student behaves like that, no matter private/public schooll, 'he wll get banned immediately, for 1-2 days to ...permanently.
Maybe depends on the rules in schools at every single country i dont know. Of course the society still blames the woman even in here, but when it comes to students, things are very strict and rules are rules

Yes college and university is a different story. We are already adults there, a totally different level of relationship with the professors. I finally binged it, it was ok, nothing special-you were right-the rom scenes were good but i found the actress very weak though extremely beautiful in a very special way. I couldnt relate with their feelings, or the story, dont know why. But ok it was an easy smooth watch

I binged the whole thing. It was ok -mostly a kind of light mystery-thriller or something. Yeap, the characters were not likeable. Even when the story started to make sense, something was missing, dont know maybe its me, i ve watched too many jap noona romances i guess and the bar is already too high hahahahahaha. Btw, the actress has a very charming face, she looks like a fairy, but her acting here (Havent watched her anywhere else), but here her acting seemed to me VERY weak. One face in every occasion and thats all.

I wont justify the mother-no matter what-she creeps me out.
But, i ve watched a few (mostly japanese and korean) teacher-student noona romance, and its the first time i find their relationship very awkward. Maybe its the the script, the storytelling doesnt go smoothly so the audience can take the time to relate or sympathize with the heroes. The boy turns from a bully and a monster to a puppy in a blink of an eye and the teacher feels like she s got an ulterior motive.
She behaves very professionally and the next moment she's flirty as hell.
Im ok with that-even if she admitted she likes him since day 1-i have no taboos, but her behavior isnt relatable and natural, it looks weird
They re both so creepy hahhahahahahahah
