Though the manhwa is really good, the drama is not based on that. They just used that god's name and thats all. But…
wow! Ok, first of all i didnt say you like Goblin, i was talking about me. Then, nobody took this manhwa away from you. Just a project based on that and nothing more. If you are an adult and you take to heart, a DRAMA, then guess who's got a problem. As for me, my country has already too many problems, SERIOUS ones, as the whole world ( i bet your country has more or less the same), so i find it quite immature and weird to see people around me getting upset and COMPARE serious problems of a country and its goverments, with a comic and i wish you success to your-may i call it-campaign of defending what's precious to you. And i really wish you find really precious things in life, that matter most than a manhwa.
Though the manhwa is really good, the drama is not based on that. They just used that god's name and thats all. But…
I loved Goblin for a number of reasons, though i never turned a blind eye to its weaknesses-its a unique piece of art in many aspects, mostly in cinematography and some theatrical ways in line delivery or postures of the actors.

Even if i could, i'd never want to forbid people for commenting anywhere for anything. Hence, at the same time when you post a comment, you (and me and everyone) have to be prepared to be criticized too. As for this drama, when you buy the copyrights, it depends on your contract: you may agree to follow the original or (both parties) agree to be free to improvise the whole thing. So, if the manhwa dudes were ok with the drama the way it was written as a script, then case closed for us viewers. All the rest is a matter of taste. A drama's beauty is in the eye of the beholder/watcher. Nobody takes dramas that seriously, unless he works in show biz. I just made a suggestion to chill, cause i find it absurd and kind of creepy to create a whole account with such nickname as yours. Of course nothing personal-how could be! Personally i enjoy it cause im watching it as something lighthearted, silly as a parody, without investing my brain or emotions on any of its aspects. If i was to make a serious review, in technical -artwise terms, i 'd approach it in a different way.
This drama is Trash. 1. The time period is wrong. It's supposed to be set in historical Korea based on the true…
Though the manhwa is really good, the drama is not based on that. They just used that god's name and thats all. But really now, though i see your points, you created that particular nickname here only to leave a comment? I mean, how much you hated it? Chill oute people, these are just dramas for fun, there's no need to feel offended, there's so much chaos in our world already, just chill!
Despite so many negative comments, i gave it a try. Now on ep4, and its quite fun! I mean, it doesnt take itself that seriously and this is always a good attitude for a show-not to create expectations of any kind and just entertain you-especially a show of that genre. Up to now, the main leads are ok, the character build up is fine, acting is good-ML though he was very young in 2017, he is really convincing -FL too. Dialogues are pretty interesting at times, giving hints here and there about the future character development. If i can make a prediction, i dont think it will show how the "Immortal world" exists, rules, history etc, but if the interaction between the heroes, gives a go to the story, i ll be fine with it. Chemistry between the leads works pretty fine up to now.
I never understood why the just oh hae young was called ugly in this drama. Surely she didn't stand out as a model,…
Because its Korea! They have their own aspects for beauty, eg heart shaped face, round eyes, greek kind of noses-the exact opposite than we have in southern Europe hahahaha.
The drama is about an evil producer who wrecks the life and marriage of a poor groom. The groom is humiliated,…
As for me, i dislike ALL of the characters and i think this is one of the success points of this drama. I mean, you dont have to like the characters you watch, or relate to them
Seems like you just watched the first episode only. Watch the episode 17 to find what actually happened and who…
Currently watching it and at the same time "hating" it. I think the main success of this drama-at least at the point where i am now-almost half of it, is that you cant really relate to any of the characters, you cant sympathize with them, they look and act so shitty that it blows your mind. It forces you to watcht it cause its very good in technical aspects, acting and overall production quality -except the music is so boring and repetitive and ruins some major scenes. FL is a total loser as a 32yo woman who still holds grudges against a high school rival, humiliates herself in front of friends, colleagues, getting drunk all the time and show no self respect towards her love interest. And i think this character delivery is VERY well done by the actress. Little to zero times have i managed to dislike a FL in any drama.
Well, if the “love story” is as conservative as it is in every ML’s drama (no or awkward kissing) I will…
oh god! is he the "no kissing scenes" policy guy?pf and i really wanted to give it a try cause i love this genre, though i dont like his acting in previous works. Why is he casted in romance since he puts this restriction? I mean its completely unprofessional, when you play romance, you behave like humans, you hug, you kiss, you long for intimacy! I think i will pass this one! Kissing scenes are already an epic failure in cdramas (and most korean ones with few exceptions). I really cringe a lot!
What exactly is "annoying" about Li Qin's voice though??? I don't get it...why does every woman's voice get called…
Some Asian females-esp Chinese ones-have higher tone voices, so they may sound a bit cartoonish or annoying to foreigners-just my personal assumbption. I do find them cute, but it depends on someone's taste. It goes vice versa to China. Many people "hate" Nini's voice-they find it too heavy, though its really beautiful its just not "girly".
Just want to point out a few things about the whole "pedophilia" thing that triggered many people in this drama. 1. I dont know the actual age in Korea, when someone is considered an adult, (in my country is 18), but biologically, both males/females are considered as adults in terms of mentality and a good level of maturity, at 25. So if we are about to judge the whole thing in all dramas/movies worldwide, we must forbid any kind of relationships between a 18yo and a person over 5+ years older. 2. For the 2/3 of drama, FL is 19. Even if she was 40,she would still be a baby for ML. Remember we're talking about a fictional world, fictional creatures, fictional fates and a creature who is about 1000yo. There is no "appropriate" age for a woman to be with a man of 1000yo. 3. For the same amount of 2/3 of the drama, the ML remained a protector for the FL, not a lover (except 1-2 kisses and even though she was head over heels with him, he didnt act as a potential lover and that is a credit we can give to the writer for not making their relationship a "lolita" kind. Apart from that, even if the writer wanted a lolita kind of affair, a 19 yo couldn't comprehend to this kind of heavy fate of those two. He is literally a condemned soul-very heavy to swallow and deal with. Chinese xianxia drama watchers will totally get what i mean, since the trope of: ML immortal god waiting for his love to be reborn and watches as she grows up and when she gets to be an adult then he makes a move so the story progresses, is very common in xianxia.
Not to be overly dramatic … actually why not … this drama absolutely wrecked me!! I don’t know if I can…
The OST is one of the most beautiful, appropriate at each scene, magical OST of kdramas ever. When you watch Goblin and hear this OST, you appreciate the value of soundtracks in every movie/drama and how they can make a scene bloom or completely ruin it. As for the whole drama...im currently rewatching so i can write a review on it. First watch 4 years ago and now i appreciate it even more. Such an ensemble success by the whole team in terms of acting, storytelling, direction, photography, costumes, right amount of humor/tragedy in every episode, even though the love story is not always on the leading arc (i think its right they did it that way, FL was almost adolescent for 2/3 of the drama -she physically couldnt match ML for such heavy background fated love). I will never get over this drama though im not a fan of any specific actor in it. LOVE IT
Did you watch the whole drama or just a few scenes?
@Atom951 Are you trying to deconstruct her opinion? Make her apologize for it? Chill sis... I myself watch it though i find it at least cringeworthy and laugh with the whole cult-trashy thing. So what? Enjoy the drama, enjoy the commenting/gossiping/chit chat here and let people be.
Having fun with ridiculous things (even under a subjective way), on a drama, is not hate. Its just having fun…
Oh i get your point! I didnt read all comments here so you may 've seen some bad intention ones. As for criticism, good or bad intentioned, i think its good to exist in everything in life, cause the creators of a product-any product- are mostly focused (Or they should be) on negative criticism so to spot their faults. After all they make millions out of it and we are part of their customers. I admit that i have a soft spot sometimes for crappy lighthearted entertaining things of all kinds. So,if it were me, i would watch anything that clicks to me, even if the whole world hates it. e.g here in dramalist, i first pick up my dramas according to genre, but i always start from the lowest rated ones-for many reasonable reasons.Thats what everyone should do, pick whatever he likes no matter the hype or bad rating. Enjoy your dramas!
