idk man, this drama feels very dull and lifeless. maybe it's just me, but I just can't connect with the characters or what's happening. something's missing, there's no ~oomph~ if that makes sense.
Lee Sun-bin is the most beautiful woman alive, bro, she was slaying in that career woman outfit at the end!! can't believe they had her playing such a exaggerated character, with all those crazy expressions and eyebrow stuff 😭😭
also can't believe she sang the song "I'm inhaling~~" earworm of a song. absolute banger.
the drama? pretty mid. first few eps were super rough, it only got better towards end... and then it just spluttered out. I still think all of this cast deserved a better script.
Just finished Peacock's Dance... Wow, what a fantastic finale! I had some criticism of the slow pace and little…
I still don't know why Anan was helping her dad?? Did she know the truth about the case and was willingly helping him?? What he did her tell about all this??
Just finished Peacock's Dance... Wow, what a fantastic finale! I had some criticism of the slow pace and little progress in middle eps but the twists towards the end were crazy!! I knew Kyoko was sus but I didn't suspect as the main murderer!!
Rikiro, Endo and Kamii meeting had me crying 😭 plus Haruo's last message to Komugi 😭😭
a lot of this drama revolves around the worst parents ever in so many ways... From the OG chaebol asshole about to discard his wife and the mother of his kids, to Kyoko risking Mamoru's future for the affair and subsequent coverups, to Tomoya's mom leaving him... Jesus, no good parents here except for Haruo and his wife....
Park Ki-se is a terrible human being in many ways but there's something sympathetic about him. That scene at his dad's funeral, how he remembers giving the old man the cold shoulder to keep sucking up to the chairwoman... Then bursts into tears. Wow, what a way to humanize character.
Maybe it's just that ... He cheated on one woman, used another woman, and makes himself miserable... But you can understand the choices he made even if you despise him for it. In a desperate struggle to make it to the top from the very bottom rung, he made every possible shitty choice and he is now in a cage of his own making.
I like this drama now. I take back every mean thing I ever said, ep. 7 was so good... this scene alone justifies the entire show: https://imgur.com/a/K7RVOU4 (my honest reaction was just "god I wish that were me")
that entire scene in the cafeteria had me smiling like an idiot... swoon-worthy and so funny at the same time. I'm sold, show.
but ofc, we have future angst... wtf did Baek-ho do to her in the past?
