I've also watched a lot of Japanese movies and dramas, my guy, I've even subbed a lot of them. it's a matter of genre. if it's a gritty crime drama from WOWOW or human interest story for NHK or just an average slice of life, the acting is understated and realistic. the FLs act like normal people. most jdramas are like that
Godzilla Minus One is literally Kaiju movie at its heart. and it was still very grim and toned down, despite a few moments...
again, literally everything you mentioned can be said about kdramas or cdramas so idk why you guys say this only about jdramas.
I've only gotten to watch up to episode 5, but I'm loving it. So cute and sweet. The chemistry is chemistrying.…
it's a romcom, ofc there's some silliness. live action adaptations, comedies, some Shoujo stuff...ofc there'll be soms over the top acting or whatever. it's not a problem with jdramas, they're not a monolith, it just comes with the genre.
comments like this kinda drive me feral, BC it's not like kdramas & cdramas don't have this "issue"
the usual sites have them, some with the Ai-generated subs. if you want to watch it raw, you can get it from Drama-otaku. my recommendation is to wait for the fansubber to catch up, tho her updates are slow BC of school & personal life
I like how the fansubber has these notes explaining about Japanese language & culture. The way she explains about how weird the way drunk Hanaoka says sorry is ππ and the misunderstanding about hearts & doctors during the second leads' date
just watch thru the fansubber - aoharusubs. they're on EP. 5 rn, I'm sure they'll finish the rest eventually.…
yes, we should always support legal sites first and fansubs only if legal sources aren't available.
well, my experience as a fansubber colours my view of Billibili. all I've seen so far is stolen fansubs, that's why I'm so vitriolic towards it. ppl can post whatever else they want, idrc. π π tbh, I'm a bit iffy about posting even offical subs from Netflix or Viki of whatever, but I remember when I was unemployed and couldn't afford those services, so I don't get too excited about that.
the fansubber's (aegroup_viva) post is here, if anyone wants to watch https://de-fansubs.tumblr.com/post/736510267623604224/kanojo-to-kareshi-no-akarui-mirai-2024

I understand being eager to see the rest of the episodes that are out, but please don't direct others to places like that. Sure, many will find their way there regardless, but... Idk, those freaks are so desperate for views or praise or God knows what, they steal the hard work of other ppl or slap AI crap onto raws (regardless of how good AI subs are, they still cannot replace human subbers). Sites like hitv, bilibili, loklok... all of the hundreds of these things that have popped all over the place like mold.... Maybe it's just my opinion as a fansubber myself, but it's best not to encourage sites like that or drive revenue to them.
Why are there no subtitles for ML's inner voices in Korean?
check out the fansubber - aoharusubs, they translate the Korean too. they're on EP. 5 rn, I'm sure they'll finish the rest eventually. I've linked to them in the comments below.
oh . Netflix have no subtitles for Tae Ohβs Korean thoughtsπ¦ , but after so many kdramas I watched for now…
watch thru the fansubber - aoharusubs, they translate the Korean too. they're on EP. 5 rn, I'm sure they'll finish the rest eventually. plus, their translations are really good.
just watch thru the fansubber - aoharusubs. they're on EP. 5 rn, I'm sure they'll finish the rest eventually. plus, their translations are really good. the ones on Bilibili are AI generated garbage usually, and they always steal the hard work of the fansubbers who translate most jdramas.

Also these two suck at secret office romance ππ
I think the professor is half in love with Tae-oh himself, the way he talking about his cute smile ππ
Bro, the comedy is top notch in this drama....
Also wow, Yuri looking extra pretty in this episode, esp when she was answering the call in her office
