EP. 4: I have mixed feelings about the resolution of Park Ae-ran's case. On the one hand, I'm obviously happy that Park Ae-ran won her case and got half the building, as she deserved. But on the other hand, and you may disagree with this, I'm very disappointed that all her character development was thrown out the window imo when she literally knelt down and apologized to the woman who tortured her emotionally for 20 years despite doing nothing wrong (even hitting the MIL from hell was to prevent the crazy old witch from assaulting her daughter). And to have said old witch conveniently do a full 360 and repent of her ways after the husband told the backstory fell just that... Way too convenient and a cop out.
This is a kdrama so ofc Giyeong's stepmom is a scheming manipulator and his husband just gives into what she says. Will she be humanized or will she just be villainous? Either way, the poor boy loses. And damn dude, I feel so bad for the ML, he portrays the sense of loss and grief so well.
THE WAY I CHEERED WHEN NERFTUBE DUDE RESIGNED AND JOINED THE GOOD GUYS. LET THE CLOWNERY AND GOOFY HIJINKS BEGIN.
shipping Seojin and Sunghan real hard. I know it's too early - she's recovering from abuse and the divorce, and he from losing his sister - but I just do. The visuals alone...
Feel so bad for Attorney Shin's poor friend? Imagine getting divorced bc your wife got pregnant with her lover's baby... Do all three ahjussis have sad backstories??
Oh, so I guess that's who the Big Bad is. the stepmom is a mistress and the ML's sister was betrayed by that lawyer guy & lost custody of her son? Possibly she committed suicide? Based on how miserable that kid looks and how tense that household seems, I already feel bad for him. This story line can potentially get very messy and angsty, so I hope they wrap it up quickly like One Dollar Lawyer.
Looking forward to Seo-jin becoming an integral and involved partner of the team. The combined team's banter and antics could be fun to watch. Her fixing that door and how happy they all were was already so funny.
That kid who's gonna end up defending the POS husband and MIL on the orders of the POS lawyer... He seems quirky, it'd be funny if he also switched over to Sunghan's firm.
If I had a nickel for everytime someone's alleged soul ended trapped in a phone, I'd have $0.02. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
this plot is really meh and i kinda find the FL annoying & selfish but ... I really like this drama somehow, like I'm having fun. also jealous Young Min is so cute, I want to see this ML in a romantic drama. preferably one where his crush isn't a ghost or where he doesn't die fighting a zombie while being friendzoned.
It took only one accidental barely-a-kiss, but bro completely head over heals for a ghost T-T
imma be real, I don't feel any chemistry between them, but that montage where he saves her from whatever that purgatory like place was... that really cool music... and the way she wakes up cradled in his arms.
Yeah, that was really romantic, I have to admit. It still feels kinda early to have an entire episode dedicated to him being jealous!
so I was very wrong and everyone else was right. The fact that he showed the kid the sex video of his mom... Just unspeakably f**ked up. Even his own lawyer looked disgusted. And he has the audacity to still hope for future lawsuits?
Anyways, I hope the kid manages to move out ASAP when he comes of age and manages to heal from the trauma of his parents' bakchodi. And look, while Seo-jin may be... questionable morally (an angel compared to her ex tho), I'm glad she's sticking around and hopefully becoming a part of the team. I may not like her character as a person, but wow the actress is so classically attractive, she looks like an old timey star.
Imma keep it real, while the previous case was super engaging, the new one feels like a let down. Ofc I'm behind the poor wife but this whole storyline feels very makjangy and overacted imo. But let's see what next week brings.
I liked the scenes with the friends, it was genuinely really funny. From the previews, maybe we're entering Law Cafe or ODL territory, with all the humour and banter and goofy antics, esp with Seo-jin joining them.
Interested in seeing more about ML's backstory. The thing with the grapes painting, why he left Germany... And he's separated from his niece and nephew apparently!
the widow, after a long, whirlwind day of being scammed and also finding out she's pregnant, watching a dude high five the air and then yell at it for having his mom's hair tie : 🤨🤨🤨🫥🫥🫥
Also every time ghost girl calls him greedy and obsessed with money, I get so annoyed. I get that you're dead, but being homeless while trying to take care of your aged grandma isn't fun either, ma'am.
Anyways, ep. 2 was less fun imo - very run of the mill storyline - but it was still engaging ig. I like the banter and dynamics between the leads. Based on the opening sequence (which was kinda cute & reminds me of Good Job, another kdrama I liked), I guess that ghost girl and taxi boy will start investigating the murders. I think that will be a way more enjoyable storyline but let's see what happens.
Also since the FL is 30 and ML is 22, does this count as a noona romance?
this was really fun, I really loved the premiere! if all the episodes are like this, this drama could be very…
And sorry, pretty ghost lady. Working class people like money so much because we need it to survive. Stop shaming the taxi driver man for trying to make a living 😭😭 >! Not all of us have sketchy high ranking cop murder dads. !<
this was really fun, I really loved the premiere! if all the episodes are like this, this drama could be very enjoyable and end my Asian drama slump. also, I got a lot of From Now On Showtime vibes and I loved the reference to that show.
i just think it's funny that every season we get a kdrama about ghosts, taxi drivers or lawyers; we got 2/3 here. can't wait for an upcoming kdrama where a ghost lawyer helps fight injustice from his taxi.
pls don't watch from other places, they most likely stole the fan subbers' work.

also the OST is so beautiful

i could watch another 2 hours of kasumi arimura just vibing in a seaside town, serving bento, and bonding with her friends
