I'm ngl, I struggled to watch to the very end, and I could only power through because my friend told me there'd be major revelations. Too bad I literally knew the main villains like 6 episodes ago (as I'm sure everyone else did) T-T but credit where credit's due, at least one of my complaints were addressed - the characters are finally close to figuring out the true killer and the accomplice. So if i'm understanding this right, the doctor does the killing - lemme guess, all the childhood trauma made him into a sadistic psycho or he always was one - and the nurse covers it up for him... probably because she killed his abusive grandma and he's been holding it over her ever since.
What I'm confused about - either bc it's been too long since it was mentioned or they didn't do a good job of explaining - what was the sequence of events the day Youngmin's mom died and Hye-jin supposedly did. So I know that the mom was killed in a hit and run by the mysterious biker dude but apparently Hye-jin was picked up the biker and thrown in front of someone's house? was she hit over the head or something prior? was this ever explained and I just forgot? I'm so lost.
also, I hope they elaborate about the red herring nurse's sister and her drug addiction. my theory was that he stole all those drugs for her, thus making him a scapegoat for the villain. I guess it's not that important, but I'd like more info on that, for my own satisfaction lol.
Chanyoung is back with those swoony, romantic lines but this ship just ain't floating, sir. try as hard as you or that amazing OST song during the credits might.
I'm still into this drama but I miss the goofiness and humour of the early episodes, esp now that it's become a straight crime mystery story ft. ghosts. Plus, like the dramabeans reviewer pointed out, the characters are getting to the truth so slowly while we, the audience, already know everything.
Also, I'm sorry, but I'm not really a big fan of the romance, which is rare for me. Like, I'm all for noona romances, but there's still no chemistry between them at all, no matter how swoony Chanyoung is and how sweet his lines are; it feels really forced. Shoutout to the kiss scene last week tho... Bro really smooched the air. Imagine if anyone walked by at that time... 💀💀
I feel like a lot of things happened but also nothing did. The previews promised a big confrontation and comeuppance... but nothing of the sort came to pass. It felt like a very half hearted, cursory examination of what happened in the village on the part of the show. And tbh I don't really like the main case, it feels very gross towards immigrants, esp considering how immigrants, women and immigrant women are treated in SK already.
Hopefully, next week, we'll see how Sunghan actually take on evil Stepmom and her loyal dog. As usual, evil Stepmom made my blood boil. Hopefully, the ex MIL does team up with Sunghan, she seems to have atleast some morals.
It's cool that Seo-jin's character development do be happening and the case with the schizophrenic lady is progressing. I wish that got more time spent on it, it felt more interesting imo. We honestly barely got more than a brief sketch of that awful man was going to his wife.
Obviously Shunghan was being a bit obnoxious, but why did everyone laugh at the idea of him being a hottie lol? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ "You know you're not that hot right?" 💀💀 Are we talking about the same man??
God i am so on edge for the confrontation between Shin and the woman who basically killed his sister 😬😬
EP. 7: that smile on Seo-jin's face when Sunghan walked in all suited up? It could either be that she's just happy for him... Or maybe she liked what she saw 😳😳 (pls let me ship them, ik nothing will happen)
I like how supportive and caring all the characters are. Obviously the sad ahjussis are always on call whenever someone is going through something, but the noodle shop lady is the MVP. I love how she comforts first Honggeun and now Seojin when she's going through a rough patch. Just a really good friend.
Also *everyone* at the Sunghan's office have a strong but quiet bond. Did anyone else notice how Saebom just slid some orange into Honggeun's mouth? And they're always joking and playing around. It'd a big difference from how cold and sterile the antagonists' firm is.
Speaking of the antagonists, God, I want Sunghan to wipe that smug smile off evil Stepmom and her henchman's faces so badly. And it's be so cool if the sister's ex-MIL also joined up with Sunghan. Hopefully this Vietnamese immigrant case will achieve both of these...
this was a genuinely funny, fluffy and cute drama with a lot of character development. the humour was amazing, and surprisingly adult for a jdrama. 8.5/10.
I thought the school violence was gonna end in such a dark place, thank God it didn't happen. When the boy's noona showed up as a spirit, I got so scared...
Why is Ji-hyun just able to touch things now? First it was the most forced accidental kiss, now it's straight up saving Youngmin.... Why does it come and go? I hope it's not just for plot convenience... Hopefully for Youngmin's love life, maybe she's still alive and that's why she's able to have an effect on the physical world. Ofc, that other dude was able to save his pregnant widow while still being completely dead so who knows.
I hope the writers are not tricking me, but I'm calling it, the doctor is some sort of serial killer. He murdered Jihyun's friend and later used Jihyun's crush on him as a way to kill her as well. The other sus nurse lady is either doing her own shit or involved with his crimes. And Idk, something makes me still suspect Jihyun's dad. He seems to know something.
If there’s two things I love seeing in my ghost noona romcoms, it’s murder-filled hospital political intrigue and school violence gone wrong /jk
ep. 5: ik I said this before, but dude fell for her hard. It’s kinda cute seeing them being jealous or acting like a bickering couple. Now we just need her to admit she likes him already ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ let this poor boy finally break out of his unrequited love era
there is so much going in this plot! So many suspicious people. In the hospital, at first I only suspected the sketchy/incompetent nurse. And the fact that the police chased mystery motorbike man to the hospital and ran into nurse guy, it’s very telling… buuut, what if it’s just a red herring? My theory is that it’s gonna turn out that dude is just negligent and stealing drugs. The real murderer and mastermind is someone else, and now the angel doctor is looking sus… plus, what is going with that older lady nurse? She is giving off so many sinister vibes, how is she involved in this?
I heavily suspected cop dad but so far it seems like he’s just using the junior detective to keep tabs on the investigation. But who knows…
and ofc, the school violence. I really hope that little boy’s noona is alive, he already lost his parents. A big L for the friend for keeping quiet so far, I hope she spills the beans next episode. Yes, ik, her life was threatened but still. What a mess.
