Meanwhile, Ci Sha being a film actor is action-focused, raw, organic, and physically committed. His energy feels less manufactured and more instinctive, which makes morally gray or intimidating scenes hit harder. The whipping scene in one of the teasers was scary.

I finally understand why Ci Sha was chosen for this role. I honestly can’t imagine a pretty-faced, lanky idol actor fully committing to a whipping scene like that with the same level of intensity and conviction.
Plus, idol actors usually still need to maintain a polished and “perfect” image.

It’s such a pity he’s only a supporting character because performances like that are far more memorable.
