I'll put the correct time line order here to help a better understanding if anyone got confused (spoiler below)
You did simplify all the timelines into one and I get all that. But what I don't get is that
in 2017 - HYX went to Shanghai for her carrier, WQS taking the next flight to catch her even "after knowing that he'll die in the airplane crash if he's boarding in that flight, because his death will be the reason for the future 2019 HYX travelled back to the past & met the past LZW", the beginning of their love.
The fact that LZW as WQS already know that HYX travelled back in time and end up in CYR's body means that she's the first to travel back. But the memory she has of WQS is the one that LZW is in because he already fall for her before he met her. So the whole thing is tangled up. There's no beginning at all. That's what I dislike about: the concept of this drama which make the timeline like an infinity loop. This concept is similar to Arrival (2016) hollywood movie which I don't particularly like or hate. But at least, the movie answer the "why" question, which is something this drama don't. Instead it's just giving a several timelines running around the infinity circles.
I just put the timeline order for a better understanding in the above post if you're interested :)
My comment is at the top though. There's no option to see the comments in recent order. I think you can click share on your comment and paste the link here so I can click the link to go to your comment.
Well, the premise is fine but it's so damn confusing. So who travels back in time first and why the parallel dimension is interconnected. Watching this drama is like asking what comes first, egg or chicken. The timeline is overlapping like an infinity symbol. Well, although it's confusing, it has some moments of fun. So I guess it's okay. But the song keeps replaying that it bored me out sometimes. I know it's an important medium but I wonder should it be played that often. The acting is great. The plot is convoluting. The story is fun in some part but some part is also boring. So I give it rating 7.
I can’t believed the dictator get pardon by another president after murder 2000 citizen. Can’t believe people…
My point exactly. It's all about politic, power, and money. People's lives don't mean anything to them. The hard thing to do is to choose the right person because people who are good usually don't want to get into politics and will face a lot of obstacles to even get there. While we can only choose option A, B, or C between all the bad people who wear a mask pretending to be nice until they get elected.
Movie Recommendation? Do you prefer movie from true story? I don't usually go for serious movies much.
I just read more about the assassination of president Park Chun Hee. He was killed by Kim Jae-gyu, the director of the KCIA. While Chun Doo Hwan is not taking part in the assassination but just taking advantage of political unrest to seize power for himself. In short, both Park Chung Hee and Chun Doo Hwan are dictators in their times. There are so many power hungry politicians in South Korean history that I feel sick to my stomach just reading about it. I can't recommend it but two films are related to the sequence of the events: The President Last Bang is about the assassination and 1987: When The Day Comes is about the demonstration that leads to the fall of Chun Doo Hwan (the perperator in A Taxi Driver).
From what I read, after the assassination of the president by Kim Jae Gyu, the general at that time Chun Doo Hwan,…
I only knew this after watching this movie and browse about it. At that time, president was not selected through people's vote but from the cabinet. So he easily became a president (1981-1987) amidst his controversy. Only 1 person did not vote for him. I really wonder why bad people have a long life and good people die early. Making this world is a bad place to live.
OMG, finally found a way to watch this movie. My heart sank seeing people suffering and dying by their own country…
From what I read, after the assassination of the president by Kim Jae Gyu, the general at that time Chun Doo Hwan, was taking advantage of political unrest and was trying to force dictatorship through martial law. The people were doing demonstration in 1980 to remove the law. But to no avail. Around 2000 people lose their lives and that dictator ruled as president for 7 years (1981-1987). Long after that, in 1996, Chun Doo Hwan did face trial for his action, but was pardoned by the president during that time. During his 7 years reign, this dictator Chun Doo Hwan corrupted hundreds of Billions but the government only got some returned to these days. Very wicked. More bad news, he's still alive and free until now. He's a true villain.
It's so heartbreaking the villain who caused this tragedy still lives to this day after causing the death of over 2000 people. In my opinion, instead of Parasite, this movie deserves an Oscar just for bringing this issue to light. Well, it did receive nomination at that time but didn't win. If it won, with the amassed attention it get, I hope that dictator who still lives free can be imprisoned for mass murder and forced to return all his wealth he corrupted during his reign. No more pardon from the president could save him if the world is paying attention to it and criticize the government. Does being powerful and rich guarantee your freedom? Just like Silenced managed to bring issue to light and pressure for punishments for the children's sexual predator. This movie is supposed to bring the same effect towards that villain.
I feel angry seeing this movie. Lynn has corrupted Bank. What did she say, life has cheated you? You have cheated yourself. Just because you are not born rich or have powerful parents, doesn't mean you are any less precious than them. You are gifted with a sincere parent who truly loves you, who is ethical and works hard, and you have a genius brain. It's such a shame you sacrifice what you have just to degrade yourself into a slave for money and those rich kids. Bank who has quality and principal at the beginning has to be crushed by your schemes. Money can be earned. But it's harder to gain your reputation back and your good personality. Such a shame.
Hi! It's great you put information about the rating and baeksang nomination. It'd even better if you include how many of the nomination they won for the past baeksang.
https://mydramalist.com/1014-on-airit's this one. thank you! you're right, it doesn't appear on the scroll down…
I found a way to add On Air to the list but it could only be done by you, the owner of the list. Is to go to On Air page and beside add to list sign, there is three line sign (add to custom list) and you can choose your list: Ode to Kim Eun Sook: Order of Her Best Script.
LOL right... a show like Meteor Garden is entertaining but it's also pretty dumbI think people are mostly voting…
Out of the 7 dramas you mentioned, Kill Me Heal Me totally fits this category. It shouldn't be voted out. It deals with psychological aspect, mental illness of Multiple Personality Disorder and childhood trauma. It does not dumb you down. Although people did mention some problem handling Hwang Jeung Eum's character and over the top reaction back then, it's not detrimental to the story and should not be the reason to say it dumb you down. In my personal opinion it was done intentionally to bring the comedic aspect to the drama, and her character helps in handling the Multiple Personality Disorder the male lead character has as she acts as his psychiatrist.
I used to be a fan of kpop, for 7 years, there are a total of 4 artists on different phases/periods, but it was already years ago. Meanwhile I've been a fan of Kim Jae Wook since his movie Antique (2008) that I watched in 2009 until now.
Sure I can share my opinion: Good 1. Her Private Life 2. Antique (2008) 3. The Guest 4. Voice 5. Coffee Prince
Average: 1. Temperature of Love (the drama is not good but KJW's character is well written) 2. Who Are You? (KJW's scenes are limited because he plays a ghost but there are some heartbreaking scenes)
Bad: 1. Marry Stayed Out All Night 2. Bad Guy (some people like this drama but I don't. Although KJW's character development is quite nice) 3. Inspiring Generation (The plot is too messy due to so many casts. KJW appears on 4 episodes only)
I think you're better than me in terms of ideas of making lists. And I haven't see all your lists to suggest anything you haven't made. I have just seen 50 of your lists on the 1st page and you have many more pages. Wow.
