(My personal opinion) The actors do their best and I really appreciate their hard work but the plot is not convincing at all. The 1rst episode was amazing, full of tragedy, suspense etc and then , episodes 2 and 3 were guffy and dump (in terms of plot) . I'm not dropping it because I hope it will get better down the road. I'm really disappointed because the double personality of the crown prince is portraited in a funny way and the drama deals with it as if it is a parody. I would prefer a more dark phychotic vibe like the sageuk "The crowned clown". The whole drama gives the impression that the target audience in 13yo teen-agers and they didn't put much effort into creating a good script. I hope it will get better on later episodes 👍 I didn't expect this drama to be serious like "Empress Ki" for example. I'm not asking for something like that. But I surely expected it to stick to the dark phychotic vibe around the double personality of the prince and not to involve so much comedy and even parody at some points. "The forbidden marriage" is the perfect example for a sageuk that has balanced comedy and thriller aspects in it all bound together

I feel you ! I just watched the 1rst episode and the scene were her head rolls over the floor after she got beheaded made me wanna throw up. Her husband is a manipulative disgusting man. I'm dropping the series. She's the victim and he uses her.
Yeah. They were hugging one another, they were both fatally injured by the enemies and then she screamed "No , my baby". She was having a miscarriage during the assassination , probably due to the extreme stress. The episode was pure nightmare. The emperor (male lead) did his best to protect his wife but they both got stabbed to death. So tragic 😰 Even if they had survived the attack from the assassins, she would still have the miscarriage. There was no way for her child to survive. But they died so there's no point speculating....
Yeah. In the last scene of the past episode, they both got assassinated. They were hugging each other. She was pregnant with his baby. They were cornered by many enemies and got killed

1) The rebel princess 2) Butterflied lover 2) Scent of time All these 3 dramas are historical/romance/suspense and give huge focus in the communication between the main couple. The relationship between the main couple is matured , the emotions are deep and the love passionate. Nothing like the rest of the guffy romance historicals that are getting released lately. These 3 dramas along with Ancient love song are my top favourite and I've watched 100 historicals the last 4 years of my life. Only those 4 dramas got engraved in my mind for the mature and passionate relationship between the main couple

Yeon Woo's goal is to return to the past and also Tae Ha had a previous reincarnation there. So it makes sense for those two to return to the past. If not then what's the point of the storyline?! I bet they'll visit the past and maybe then he'll become more ill so Yeon Woo will have no choice but to return in the future with him so the modern doctors can save his life in a hospital
I wonder if Tae Ha will time travel in the Joseon era on the upcoming episodes. It will be epic because then he'll finally be in Yeon Woo's shoes. Poor guy he's gonna have a heart attack from all that shock😨
