Xue Kai is gorgeous :) Sadly I've only watched him on "The Legends" since I prefer serious historicals and not comedies. He's very talented :) After having a quick little look at your watchlist (hope you don't mind) ......, you have survived through tragic- ending dramas like "Ice fantasy" , "Gu family book" . You have nothing to fear hahaha xD You're strong enough!
this better not be a tragedy like Miss the Dragon... that drama is traumatizing to me...
Don't worry .This has 1000 times bigger budget than the rubbish drama "Miss the dragon". The novel which "Ancient love poetry" is based of , is amazing and if you add the huge budget and the talented actors ....it's probably gonna be a masterpiece (on the same level with TMOPB , Love and destiny, Eternal love of dream, Ashes of love ,Love& Redemption etc etc)
1) This is similar to Journey of Flower and hell yeah I'm so loving it just for that!
2) The female lead (Rem Min) had an amazing performance in a tragic role she got on the movie "Cry me a sad rever" . She's young but very talented. If someone can make you cry then it's definitely her. She's not a noob. She's very talented
3) Xiao Zhan is looking so mature. Like a true teacher. P.S . (Please don't be a stubborn Sifu as Bai Zhi Hua was lol )
Damn and I liked so much her lifetime as a female general. :'( She was so badass and strong willed. Episodes 18-28 were the best for me , in the entire drama.
On YouTube. It's also very convenient because the drama has fillers and needs some skipping here and there. Especially after ep30++ The male lead (Prince Feng ming) gets introduced at the end of ep2. The first ep was misleading lol because they showed us an other dude(her ex husband) whom wasn't important for the plot at all.
Yep! Esther said that this is more of a serious drama so there isn’t much comedy 😊
Ah ok thanks for the infos. I'm not against comedy, but you know.... low budget Chinese dramas overuse it these days xD To the point that the dramas become unwatchable. (at least for me)

Also as the comments below refer, WeTV has it on "Coming soon" section along with "The eternal love 3" (which already airs) Fingers crossed for this one :) It's an amazing production. Surely it's gonna be a huge hit like TMOPB , Love and redemption etc....
Ba Reum was the biggest "victim" of himself. His previous evil side caused him so much pain, regret and punishment. Seung gi portrayed the role perfectly. I respect him as an actor sooo much ❤ Kwon Hwa Woon is also a rising talent^^ Great article , thank you for highlighting this drama !

Oh ok , thanks for the clarification. I watch Chinese dramas 2 years now and only lately I realised how many restrictions exist in China for the drama industry and the actors.
Also sometimes actors don't even have a say into which drama they'll participate into not only because of the government but because of their own company that decides for them. :( I think Korean actors have way more freedom. China is too strict on some aspects and if government doesn't pressure you , your company might do so , lol :(

Yeah , same for me too. I hate brainless parody dramas were female lead just yells and screams all the time (producers think that's funny lol....It's so annoying) . If I start it and it has a silly plot , then I'm out of here xD The trailer looks "serious" enough. If it's misleading then I'll drop it for sure. I never watch comedy after all.
