Episode 1 is amazing with very interesting plot (full of action , tragic at some points) and then from ep 2 to the end it becomes completely silly and goofy. They completely transform it from being serious in a 100% silly drama. I couldn't stand so much comedy. It started amazingly and then became a crap. I like some comedy in my dramas but I can't stand that silliness. It became a show for 14yo kids

Yeah I hope too. Also about editing...... for example in Love and Destiny nothing happened inbetween ep51-57 and they put a huge amount of plot in only ep58-60. I hope this won't be the deal with this drama too. I love the novel story ,the author and the main leads. I just hope that in those 2 years of endless waiting they took their time to create an amazing drama, just like TMOPB was, (with the right amount of action /romance that doesn't feel draggy) . I've high hopes for Pillow book !

WHY 58 EPISODES AND NOT 60 ? They changed that yesterday. That's so sudden wtf. Anyways, I've waited 2 years for this and it's finally almost time! I just hope it'll be subbed instantly. I can already see myself Fan-girling the moment Dong Hua appears in the screen ❤ Dilereba is a very good and beautiful actress also.

It's full with action , it has amazing plot, full of suspense, the acting of the ML deserves an award , the story never gets draggy, it never makes you wanna skip minutes, it is breathtaking with all those assassinations , the drama has a very nice romance and the politics aren't boring or too long. It's not a boring palace drama (as I thought - I was completely wrong ). It's a masterpiece that will drag you in from the 1 episode until the end. I wonder why it only has 8.4

The ending was so facked up. Ka-suo never actually had the chance to live with Li luo , as a couple.

I also watched season 2 in case it gets better but it was a complete bullshit . This continuation was an insult to the 1rst one lol.

1)Male lead and his brother both become evil later on. Each one of them for deferent reasons. They also end up rivals for the throne. Ka-suo in the begging was kind and noble but down the road he forced to become tougher and strong (and at some point he ended up being very evil but Li- luo helped him find a good balance with himself )
2)A mermaid loves the male lead but he doesn't care at all for her. There is no love triangle. She although tries to get him a lot and there were a few misunderstandings. But he was always 100% concentrated to Li luo

Overall it was a nice drama but not perfect . At some points it was very very sad (I mean VERY) and depressing ...... especially towards the end. But it had nice action scenes , nice plot and the romance of the main leads was very sweet and heart-warming ! It's been a year since I watched it and I'm thinking of re-watching it lol. Just for Ka-suo and Li-Luo ! The ending open and sad though

Yeah I totally agree. Her character was so goofy and annoying. So poor in development. In Gu family book she was far better. Sometimes I had the felling this drama was written for 12year old's jeez

Happy ending

I watched all of it because I love historical/ romance /fantasy ....... but I found it boring and with really bad written script .
Positive:
+ Very nice begging of the story . The first 4 episodes had intriguing plot. Everything was happening very fast and it was amazing.
+ Male lead was amazing in his role and he really did his best . But only with good acting skills you can't save a bad script.
+ A few nice action scenes (that saved me from my boredom due to the weak plot).

Negatives:
- Goofy female lead. She is good only for being saved (and that's unfair for women ).
- Weak plot (ep 5-20 were horrible ). It became awfully draggy. They repeat the same dialogues again and again. The same problem again and again. Nothing too interesting ever happens . The politics are non-existent (despite the fact that they try to convince you that there are politics lol )
- Weak romance ( they actually get together the last 5 min of the drama lol ). He constantly denied her and rejected her (for noble reasons) and you never see them together as a couple AT ALL

Hahah yep. It's one of those irritating dramas that you just watch to kill boredom but they are horrible and pointless :/
It had weak plot, silly politics and it was sad constantly with a few happy moments only at first episodes lol

The few moments that the trailer showed us, were all included in the book. Pillow book is not a continuation of tmopb but an accurate adaptation of the PB's novel

This better be released January the 1st and be subbed asap or else I'll die ! xD

It's a masterpiece. The character development is stunning ❤

I like Leo Luo. He's not the most handsome actor but Idk... He's attractive in his own way. He's also a talented actor

Come on guys just upload 1 damn episode. I'm waiting 2 years. I'll die from agony xD
It is my all time favourite couple. I've re-watched TMOPB 3 times already to help me waiting ..... but the trick doesn't work anymore :(
