i see your point. and from a storytelling perspective that would definitely make the show more appealing. and maybe that is what the aim was but not executed. what i personally took away is how through all these feelings, people rarely get to actually know what the other is feeling or thinking. we only get to see how much is actually shown in reality as well. the miscommunication between the characters is much like in reality where there are no sneak peaks into people's heads or subtitles spelling out the unsaid in-betweens of the dialogues...

it is exactly these character flaws that make it more realistic. cool verging on seeming disinterest. overthinking in our own heads, clamping up instead of verbalizing, self-sabotaging... these are modern day realities of dating that felt relatable.

This drama depends on what you appreciate really...
True, it took me a few episodes to get into the groove of this drama. But it was worth being patient. No romance. There's no time for it, really. Best martial arts action EVER.
i came here for the cast, and they REALLY delivered.
So watch only if you're in the same frame of mind. According to me that is.

You were the only one who actually responded to my question :) Seems like I wasn't too far off in my conjecture… recently I saw Lee Sang Yeob in a short vertical format Drama and I was very taken aback as well… along with JIW’s appearance in this long format, it really had me questioning if there's a new trend go in on or something..

I'm not a fan of long format dramas primarily because of the soap opera OTT madness. The only one I liked till date was Once Again. This one I will watch purely for Jung Il Woo. Cause I'm a fan.
But here’s a question for anyone who knows better… has JIW’s commercial/popularity value dropped for him to take up this format? Is it considered a downgrade in any context? I'm curious…
