It is what it is...
There are some genres of shows and movies that are just what they are.You go into them knowing what to expect - a whole lot of nothing.
Yet you stick around and watch it any way.
This is another one of those types of shows.
It's a ridiculous story if we put it IRL, but in drama land it's feasible.
The chemistry between the leads was decent, at times almost realistically believable.
I often wonder how easily flushed they may get on or off the camera when having to say some of these lines or act in such a way.
This is one you watch when you want mindless fluff, no real thinking involved.
No angst, no melodrama, nothing more than a way to pass the time.
Don't go into this with high expectations (or even low) and you might enjoy it.
This goes on my fluff list .. along with shows like Coffee and Vanilla, Kakafukaka, Ase to Sekken .. a few others escape me at the moment, but you should get the idea.

I rebuke thee ..
I tried to watch this several times, I made it to episode 5 before giving up.
I can not get into the story, the characters, or the over the top everything in between.
I am not a fan of the ML or the FL so that could have something to do with it.
I think it is more him than her though.
I have tried time and again to get into him as he seems to have amassed quite the fan base, but I can not even scrounge up a glimmer of interest.
He's mediocre across the board, even in the looks department.
I would love for an original story starring leads that sizzle chemistry to come along and knock my socks off.

Stop Romanticizing Toxic Behavior
This glorification of men who treat women like garbage needs to stop. How can the FL be an educated, bright person if she falls for him?
He is not cool or aloof .. he's arrogant, rude, narcissistic, and very self absorbed.
I don't care what hairstyle or color they give him, he's not attractive due to his personality.
I thought this would be a cute albeit somewhat angsty watch.
It was a hot mess of abuse in varying forms and I only watched 4 episodes.
The FL is belittled, ridiculed, humiliated, physically kicked, called names more than once, and then he destroyed her school laptop by installing a virus.
Oooooh, he's so talented.
It wiped out all of her systems (core included) and all of her work, saved and current, is gone.
Do you know how infuriating that would be to a real student?
Instead everyone is gloating and praising him, all the while the FL is wandering around behind him like a puppy with a broke laptop.
He continues to be snide and insult her, as if he was in the right.
Sheer stupidity.
I feel nothing but disgust for the ML and can not imagine he can redeem himself enough for me to root for him.
Especially as other comments made seem to indicate he gets even worse as the show progresses.
The drama world needs a revamp.

Nothing Perfect About it
Not sure why some are calling this a 'masterpiece' (unless they are new to drama land and don't have much viewing experience).Starting out, episode one was a dumpster fire.
It got progressively worse from there.
I kept waiting for the FL to pass out from hunger.
Several close up scenes of her hands throughout episodes show she has the shakes.
Is she cold?
Does she have low blood sugar?
In need of an alcoholic beverage?
The ML is dull and his mother is obnoxious.
There is no chemistry between the leads; feels like forced comradery.
I'm not particularly fond of either of them, but together I dislike them even more somehow .
Then the FL brother and his wife ...
They are the epitome of relationship trash.
Childish. Ridiculous. Toxic. Both of them.
The opening song has to be one of the worst I've heard in all the decades of watching dramas.
I've dropped it and doubt I'll pick it back up.
The amount of flops that keep getting churned out is disappointing.

Keep tissues on hand!
This one tugs on the heartstrings .. hard! The romance you can see blooming from day one, so there's no real surprise there.
It felt awkward when the adopted brother tried to have feelings for her.
I think that was just more of a comfort thing, not actual romantic feelings he had.
The dad .. ah man .. the dad.
What a gem of a character.
He truly was the core of it all.
His insight and wisdom at times was breathtaking.
Often the floodgates would open on up after one of his scenes.
Simple thoughts from a simple man who loved his family.
It's not one I would re-watch; I feel it's one of those shows that will shine best the first time around.
