If I am circling about parasite then you are circle about kpop and j- drama being famous! You mentionee BOF which is a remake original j-drama btw was only popular in some of the Asia countries. And the other two you have mentiones are influnced by japanese series and about the channels you mentioned we have those also from a long time ago doesnt mean it was popular back then as it is NOW. We have two of your country's channel and some other arabic country channel as well it doesnt necessarily mean Indian soap opera or those Arabic countries shows are globally popular and can rack money the way kpop is now. Hardly anyone watches India channels as well as those arabic countries channels. And it seems giving you the prove that even in 2021 j-dramas arent popular you are stubbornly insisting that you are correct and I am wrong. The only recent hit jdrama internationally was CM and because it is BL. Go back to old kdrama and recent kdramas page and see the differences not only in here mdl but also some of the the old Asian drama forums as well. Just because you and I watch kdramas and jdrama from a long time doesnt necessarily mean kpop was global sensatition back in 2008 or 2011.
Fine I am giving parasite writer a benefit of doubt that some how he came up wity very similar concept on his own with diff genre but as far as I remember korean writer never commented( if recently he spoke up abt it I have no idea and honestly I dont have the time to research about it just to argue with someone online) about it which is sus becasue rather than the guy himself you are coming up with good excuses?points? to defend him.
SRK is famous cuz he is one of the richest actor in the world but that doesnt mean bollywood movies are racking money from all over the world. And Priyanka got famous cuz who married and the age diff. How many people do you think people outside india have seen their works? Knowning bollywood's existence and consuming bollywood content is different thing. I honestly don't dont get it how you are mixing anime and jdramas. Anime is an international market jdrama isnt cuz in this regard Japan only care about locals thus not popular to intl fans. And knowing and consuming that market's products are two different things!
But you have driven the convo far away from my main point. Korea was and is heavily takes inspiration from japanese works and chinese works. Not saying they dont have original creativity cuz they do but if you do drama analysis kdramas story writing is heavily influenced by Japan. Parasite was just an example not the main argument whatsoever.
And again with WOT GOT & LOTR both GRRM and RJ has clearly stated many times that they were INSPIRED where else Parasite writer didnt even COMMENT or tried to clear the misunderstanding or whatever. Again I am not up to date about it but if he has cleared up things good for him.
