You just witnessed the most common fish kiss in japanese drama hahah though there are some series with good kissing scene and the japanese movies always does kiss scene or bed scene like western but for local dramas no no no it's a rare case. Don't have too much high expectation.

I honestly feel like they will give a clean ,perfect and an amazing ending to this beautiful series which will not prompt a sequel. And reading quite a few interviews from the casts and directors they are happy with the ending and don't want to ruin it with S2.
