actors of foye baye havent aged a little bit...its been 10 years since 2016and did none of the wuye's sons learnt…
Based on novel lore ( like 20 years post where this action takes place if the live action respects the timeline), Grandpa Wu has a huge fallout with Fo Ye which leads to the disband of Mystic Nine as we know it, ( Xiao Ge and the Wang clan are involved here and the government ) .Because of this, Wu Laoye gives up grave robing and refuses to teach his sons this way. He also named Wu Xie his name ( pure, no evil) exactly because he wanted his grandson and the rest of his clan to live peacefully.
On douban is still mentions that it has 33 episodes, 40min each, possible premiere on 10 June. Crossing fingers for the drama to air soon, i sure need some action after so many romance dramas lately...
I love the dark theme of this drama. The episodes for now are really good and i absolutely love Dilraba! I cannot understand why both main actors have so many haters though
Open ending that begs for season 2 where ML returns to modern life wondering if it was a game or reality. (But hints heavily that it was all real and it will continue. But no main or side characters die.
It's been some time since i was able to finish a chinese drama since i usually get bored after the first 10 episodes, but not on this one! It's one of those rare dramas that I didn't skip any scenes at all, which is amazing considering my ADHD.
All characters were just amazing! Even the small characters has actors that knew what they were doing, such as the Cooper Gongs. The small moments of comedy with the Xu family were very heartwarming! Although i usually hate romances, this one i didn't mind at all! It was playful and later on, Lin'an princess shows character progress. Also, I admit that the last case with the massacre made me cry especially since they used that song from the OST. Also!!! Cannot believe that i almost didn't recognize the actor who plays Wei Gong!! Especially since i watched Nirvana in Fire so many times already and he was playing such a good villain in it!
All in all, a drama well made! Good OST, has a bit of everything: politics, fights, romance, mystery and of course, a shitty ending that screams for season 2!:)))I didn't expect the second half of the last episode, must say!
planning to start this.. do i need to know anything beforehand to enjoy this?i am hoping the mystery is top tier…
For good mystery cases, i would recc for you to watch Strange tales of tang dynasty also. It's more plot oriented than MLC which is more of a character drama. Both have the camaraderie theme, but detective wise, the Tang Dynasty one is better.
Dashing Youth falls short of it's sequel. Although for cgi the budget is bigger, it falls short on the story. The whole WenJun character kinda ruined the while vibe of the drama. The added scene of how WenJun was drugged ( which wasn't in the novel) made it seem like she was more of a victim, while in fact, at the end of the story, she was the cause of Ye Yun's death and also the cause of what happens in TBOY, since at the end of the day, although she returned to the palace, she wasn't able to be a mother to her first child either, which created the perfect opportunity to have a villain. She abandoned one child for another that she ignored and didn't raise. Ye Yun wanted the image of his family rehabilitated, and he got that when XRF opened up the case of the Ye general family; all that romance was for nothing.
Yue Yao and Sikong's characters fell short also since they kinda had no scenes after episode 30. All in all, this drama would have been much better if it showed more about the other members of the 8 young masters of Beili and Sikong Changfeng. Saving grace is chairman Li and his younger version. And as much as i enjoy watching Neo, i hated the character of Dongba...throughout the whole drama, it shows that at the end of the day, martial arts or not, he keeps that noble, i am the most powerful ever hero, and i hated that. Many inconsistencies that can be noticed especially by those who watched TBOY.
Even if there is no novel to base this season on, if the author is involved, I'm sure it will take over the ratings just as TBOY did! :))) Seeing how petty Xiao Se is when he keeps on mentioning that he won a city in gambling against the crown prince, i am pretty sure they will make a flashback since it involves the Beili enemies. Crossing fingers for all the actors to return, bit anxious with Li Hong Yi as his schedule is packed full!
No dongjun master remain alive till the end and remain most powerful person in the world he gain his powers again…
Since you read the novel ( i cannot find it online in english anywhere:(), could i dare to ask you some spoilers about what happens in the end with the other young masters of Beili who aren't mentioned in Blood of Youth? And what happens to Lei Mengsha? :D
Wonder how that wasn't even mentioned in TBOY, I would have guessed Mingxuan would have loved to brag that his father was one the the 8 youngs masters in Beili at his time, tho..him being too busy with the real Luoxia might have been the reason:))
Anyone who knows/remembers if the 8 young masters of Beili appeared in The Blood of Youth?Besides Xiao Ruofeng being Prince Langya and Lei Mengsha as being Lei Wujie's father, who are the others? I don't remember them being related to anyone in TBOY, especially Liu Yue and Mo Xiaohei, the ones with the weimao/head cover veil.
I finally finished the drama and it was quite enjoyable! Although the CGI seems pretty bad at some scenes and…
For the cases: except 2 of them, they seemed meaningless since later on, all the victims saved, die all in the same day in different circumstances. It kinda makes it all..weird. Also, they seemed to forget about the Queen and her aging issue..they just left the idea in the air. The female vice minister was also quite useless and the drama could have well gone without her. The actors tho, especially for Li Bing, Chen Shi and Qi Qingzhi were very well chosen! Li Bing's especially fitted the role of the cat! All in all, it was enjoyable!
I finally finished the drama and it was quite enjoyable! Although the CGI seems pretty bad at some scenes and it does have some cringy moments, it worth watching. Spoilers below:
I don't really get the not so good comments for this drama, tbh. It's a nice, simple and comedic drama with not that much drama( for now). Not every drama needs to be serious plot wise; for me it's a very good show to de-stress from work after a long week. And i genuinely enjoy the ML :))) He is pretty funny!
So what's up with like every cop in the building walking around in the hallways saying confidential information?…
Actually, IRL people don't get fired because systems are corrupt, and they cover up everything; especially when it involves the police and the juridical system. The only people who are fired are some little mouse people that need to take the blame so the whole office survives.
