Great OST not a fan of the characters and story

I won't say I don't recommend it because it's honestly not bad it's just not my cup of tea.

So I watched until episode 13 and I wasn't sure if I would like it at first from the first couple of episodes but I gave it a chance anyway.

First, the stuff I enjoyed. I enjoy the OST and the cinematography. The characters are likeable, it has an enjoyable vibe and I like how it has a documentary style like lovestruck in the city. I like how we got to see them from their high school days and how they kind of did like a remake to see where they are now. Just because yeon soo did well in school didn't make her as successful as she thought and just because choi woon wanted to live a calm and quiet life it didn't make him unsuccessful.

The stuff I didn't enjoy. I like the male lead, choi woong, but it did get on my nerves that even how he was treated by yeon soo, the female lead he still went back to her. Yeon soo got on my nerves from the very beginning then after awhile she wasn't that bad and I did like her but I just don't like how she treated choi woong and acts like she didn't hurt him and feels hurt after she thought he moved on. I know they did explain her reasoning but I don't think it justifies the way she treated him and broke up with him (Unless I might have missed something though so my bad).

I did try to get into it and I only got to episode 13 because I thought I could keep giving it a chance and sort of forced myself (I just sped it up honestly) and I don't like to leave dramas on unfinished but I just don't feel motivated to finish this one. Like I said it isn't bad just isn't for me. I'm dropping it for now but I'll probably go back to finish it because there's only like 3 episodes left.

It's a good drama

Honestly, I enjoyed this drama a lot. The main female lead is a little frustrating at times. I didnt like how she would keep making the same faces and was unnecessarily rude at times but I got over it as the show went on. Although she was my least favorite the show was still great. It was short and it didn't drag or anything. I wish they did tell a little more on some of the characters backstory but for those that they did it was nice seeing things from their view. There was a love triangle since well its a romance drama and I guess I could see how someome might have a hard time choosing between both of them but I liked the main lead mostly although i do feel that he had more chemistry with one of the other characters while the second lead had more chemistry with the main female lead. It's not that big of a deal.

It starts of great but..

I would say give this drama a watch and see for yourself if you'll like it or not. To each their own.

So.. I like the concept of it. The idea of the letters and the main female lead wanting to find the guy who wrote the letters is interesting. She wanted to find the guy who wrote the letters to show off to her sister and also beause well she likes him a lot so she rejected all other guys she went on dates with. She wants to start her own company and is inspired by do san because of it so she goes and works on a start up. So heres the thing. As much as I enjoyed it at first as it goes on it kind of goes down half way. They don't focus so much on the start up which seems to be one of the main things and after awhile the letters and everything brought up in the beginning are forgotten. The "do san" from the letters which happens to be han ji pyeong gets rejected. It doesnt make sense because everything dal mi liked about "do san" was based on the letters. She rejected every guy because of the letters. They did han ji pyeong dirty. He was an orphan who had no one and on his own had to work towards his position he finally has a chance at happines and it gets put down because dal mi likes the real do san just because? It's not even a good reason oh and in addition to that the real do san crying says he needs dal mi because he has nothing? He has two loving and supportive parents, a house and friends. Han ji pyeong had nothing of that. They play it up as if han ji pyeong is the main lead only to later just have do san be the lead. And then at the end dal mi ignored han ji pyeongs confession and how hurt he feels and just goes straight to what she wanted to tell him. So as great as this drama started off eventually everything that they brought up in the beginning just kind of is put aside and they do their own thing to try to get us to like and root for do san more than han ji pyeong. They try to make Han ji pyeong as the villain and honestly this drama was pretty disappointing to me I couldn't even finish it. I didny watch the last two episodes and while watching it i skipped over scenes with do san and dal mi.

Unanswered questions

I thought this would be a fun drama to watch because I like mystery/thriller dramas and I liked how it had romance also because I liked both main leads.

The story did drag on a bit. The ml moved to his hometown to open up a restaurant so he could find his sister and there he meets the fl who happened to know his sister. What I don't understand is why when fl finally tells the cops about her stalker they don't do anything. Also don't understand why everyone just continues to let her walk around alone at night and in dark alleys when he tried to hurt her more than once.

It was also sad to see how the adults failed ml's sister. For example, When she asked for help one of the residents from the hometown didn't want to and his excuse was he was having a bad day and just wanted to mind his own business. Everyone even blamed the ml for letting his sister get kidnapped as if he wasn't a kid taking care of another kid. At least he found his sister but it wasn't exactly satisfying since they never really revealed the murderer's intentions for murdering and kidnapping kids and that's more just up to the viewers interpretation despite him continuing to be alive.

I also didn't understand why even after finding out everything that happened with ml's sister and even saying he was disgusted with the way the people in the town acted at the time he came back. He disappeared for just a month only to come back and act like nothing happened?

As for the music I didn't really pay much attention to it unlike usual with dramas so I could careless about it. I don't think I'd rewatch it as it was hard to just finish it in the first place. I won't say I won't recommend it because a lot of others liked it. If you like the main leads I'd say watch it and then go from there.

must watch!

okay so I will admit that I wasn't into it for the first few episodes but once I got past that I absolutely loved it.

Starting with the OST.
It was great. I usually don't care for it but it had me hyped especially during the fight scenes.

The Characters
I loved the characters dynamic too. It was so much fun seeing how they went from enemies to friends and how they had each others backs. Also eventually seeing two of their team members shocking past and how they put their talents to use. Seeing their interactions even with some of the bad guys had me cracking up I had to cover my mouth in the middle of the night to not wake anyone up because I couldn't stop.

Other:
I absolutely enjoyed the fight scenes and although I've only watched one other drama with Kim Nam Gil I'll definitely find myself watching more where he comes out. I loved the bromance and then eventually seeing how some of the characters repent and seeing their character development was something I enjoyed.

So if you want something hilarious with bromance, character development, and great teamwork/friend group. I say go for it and watch this one. It's definitely one I'll end up rewatching.

One of my all time favorites

This is my favorite drama. I love everything about it. The setting, the ost, the characters, everything.

I like how it was set in a small town where everyone knows each other so they are all friendly with ech other (except for with the fl) and help each other out. As time goes on though they become friends with the fl and help her out when she most needs it. The music they play during the romantic scenes is cute and honestly we all need a yong sik in our lives. I love how he gave dongbaek confidence and love, something that she always need it. He always treated her with respect and absolutely adored her. Not just her but also her kid. He loved him like his own. My mom is a single mom so I have seen the struggle for providing for a child and the rent and stuff from my mom. It was nice seeing though how even with the struggles of being a single mom she was still happy. She had friends around her and that did not stop her from dating. I have not watched many shows with single moms so it was a nice change. The characters were all fun and quirky. I liked seeing dongbaek little by little become stronger and confident. She never backed down when she found out she was in danger but defended herself. I have watched this drama 4 times and I still can't stop myself from crying during the last episode, both tears of joy and sadness. Being able to make me cry just gives a show or book bonus points.

So I definitely recommend this to anyone who is not sure if to watch it or not. Its a cute romance and its a nice change from other dramas.

ji soo did amazing

As mentioned in the title Ji Soo did such a good job I cried so much in episode 9. I loved the way they showed dong myungs journey through the animation and seeing how hard he was trying but still you could see little by little how closer to death he was until he finally accepted it. this one felt different to other dramas not just because of the animation but because it did a great job of illustrating and also helping us feel what dong myung felt. it was a bit hard to watch because it definitely felt heavy as it went on but still I pushed through and enjoyed everything about this drama. also I will say I did enjoy the ost too that always adds onto making a better experience when watching something.

Definitely Recommend

Where to start? I loved this drama. At first I wasn't sure about it but decided to give it a watch anyway since there was nothing else. I did hear that this was about friendships in prison and unlike other dramas this time it is based on older characters. I was not sure what to expect even knowing this. I was not disappointed. It was funny and very emotional. I found myself laughing more than I have while watching a drama in awhile and I also found myself getting all teary eyed and crying a little near the end.

I will say that the ending for han yang and kaist kind of sucked. Although what happened with han yang is realistic it still sucks that he relapsed when he just got out of prison too. Getting over an addiction is never easy but he did his best and if he was able to do it once he can do it again. I will also say I felt bad for Kaist too because he did what he could and trued to be a good father to his son but his son did not want that. He just did not have a very good ending at all. I did love ki soos ending though because he spent the rest of his days in prison all happy which made me very happy.

As for the ost it was awesome. Not many times do I watch a drama that also has an amazing soundtrack. So if you are into that then I would recommend this drama even more.

It was a nice movie

I don't usually watch movies but decided to watch this one just because it was recommended and I enjoyed it a lot. It did feel like there wasn't much of a plot I guess. It was mainly just the two leads breaking up and getting back together again. It was a cute movie nonetheless. It could be because I am inexperienced when it comes to relationships but I just didn't understand why they broke up . the female lead should have just waited for male lead to say something or at least try to understand his view. Again I'm inexperienced so maybe I missed something but usually problems are able to be fixed if they talked them out. I will say though that even though its kind of slow paced it was not to the point where it would bore anyone and they have to stop watching it. Even though I usually do not watch movies in one sitting this was an exception. As for the music, I actually like it a lot so now I could add some songs to my playlist. The acting was pretty good and the chemistry between the two leads was great it was not awkward but they did not really develop character wise. Even though years had passed the only change really was their jobs but nothing else they just kind of stayed the same. It's probably just because its a movie though so there is less time for that. Anyway I would recommend this to anyone who likes a melodramatic romantic movie.

love the chemistry

If you love good chemistry and a strong female lead I recommend this drama.

I was hooked instantly when I watched this drama and couldn't put it down as I eagerly waited for a new episode.

The Chemistry:
I love the chemistry between the two leads. I love how xu lai was the one to go after jin shi chuan and seeing him slowly give in as the drama goes in. They are so cute and I love seeing their little moments together.

Characters:
I loved how strong the female lead is., even when faced with threats to her and those she loved she didn't back down and kept at revealing the truth. She didn't let her coworker make her a scapegoat. I love that since it's different from what I am used to seeing.

I loved the team members and seeing their friendship and how well they worked together. I loved every one of them and of course their dogs too though they only showed them a few times.

OST: I loved it especially daydream by chen xueran it is so cute and I couldn't stop myself from listening it over and over.

Fire Scenes: I loved them and I love how we get an idea of struggles of firemen like losing someone from the team, the worry over a loved one being a firemen and the sacrifices that they make. I just enjoyed the scenes of the fire rescues and how heartfelt it was when they saved someone.

Of course this drama isn't perfect it does have it's things (for example it doesn't have any good kisses) but even so I love it and I would recommend it if you just want to watch something heartfelt and cute to watch.

so far its okay..

I love Ji Chang Wook so I was excited to watch this drama but so far it is just okay. it seems interesting I really like the documentary style of the drama and the aesthetic it is very unique. the acting and cast are good and enjoyable too. It is kind of slow though and it doesn't feel like any progress is being made at the moment. I will say it is a mature drama that talks about sex and relationships so its most likely something 13 year old's won't enjoy. The ost is great and I did enjoy seeing Ji Chang Wook playing the guitar and singing it is nice so that is one good thing about the drama. if you are expecting some kind of cliché romance kdrama this is definitely not for you. I am going to keep watching to see how it goes although its not exactly something I'm into you might end up liking it so I say give it a go.

Its not bad..

so, its really not a bad drama. I think its a cool idea and honestly song joong ki's visuals in this drama are *chefs kiss*. i did not understand why in the beginning they showed sjk's character as some tough guy from the mafia and then that all changes when he gets to Korea though. also the female lead kind of gets on my nerves she's a horrible person and just plain annoying.

I really wish this drama wasn't a comedy. I mean its not bad and its actually the kind of fun but (this is my personal preference) for a drama with this plot I would prefer for it to be more serious and purely crime. If it was not for sjk i would probably drop this drama because of it. putting aside that i would prefer purely crime. the characters are enjoyable and i am interested to see how the story progresses. i think this drama is easier to get through if you like sjk and know what to expect when you watch it. if it really bothers you that much like others based on the first 2 episodes then it is better to just drop it.
