I don't think she's a villain. I have a feeling that she will help to save naksu and jung uks love and also she…
same. since the onset, I never thought of Buyeon (or should I call her Seolran now?) as a villain/potential villain. it's such that, a lot of AoS fans spread this around like wildfire in SNS because Naksu's soul will get kicked out. *smh*
so is Master Lee implying that the soul inside Buyeon's body is Jin Seolran all along? how about those people who said Buyeon is the real villain? so is Jin Seolran the real villain then???
at this point, I no longer care how this drama will end. it didn't live up to my expectations (sorry), but still going to finish for the sake of it. part 1 was more exciting for me. i am suddenly reminded of how Hong Sis ends their fantasy dramas. they can be unsatisfying.
Is The Red Sleeve good from an Alchemist point of view?Want to start watching once this is over.
The Red Sleeve is a really good drama. add the fact that it's based on actual historical events. watching it made me interested to research about King Jeongjo and Uibin (particularly why historians concluded that Uibin was his most beloved concubine). their love story is interesting.
Perhaps Naksu’s Full Energy needs to Kick in so She can Kick That little Bi¥%h Buyeon out and stop her from…
sorry to say, that offensive word should not be used to Buyeon, no matter how much we ship Uk and Naksu. have you forgotten? that b***h Buyeon you are talking about saved Jang Uk from being soul-shifted (a helpless situation for Uk and I leaped for joy knowing she was there, and has the power to intervene like that. else Uk is doomed for sure). please choose words wisely.
To those Alchemists who aren't complaining about the pacing since season 1, I admire your patience and understanding. While me, I'm actually on the verge of running wild. Good thing Jin Buyeon is currently trapping my energy so I'm holding on haha!
They do it, because they could. Hong Sister need an strict monitor to cut some beloved dialog and funny scenes.…
i truly get your point, however, not all viewers have the same amount of patience and understanding. as mentioned, i love the story and still enjoying everything so far (side plots included). but the pacing has been quite disappointing. season 1's pacing isn't any different too. but I guess in season 1, we've got a lot of things to anticipate like when will Jang Gang return (which also turned disappointing), when will Jin Buyeon reunite with the Jin family (which never "exactly" happened since her soul is now perished just like that), when will Jin Mu get busted, will Jang Uk reach Hwansu, when will the secret of Jang Uk's birth get revealed, etc. Jin Mu getting busted and the revelation of Jang Uk's birth are yet to unfold, but right now, we're mainly invested on the return of Naksu's memories only. i don't know. anyway, no matter how disappointed i am, i'll continue watching. coz in the end, I'm just a viewer who has to enjoy whatever they serve. 🙂
just finished watching ep 5 and *sigh* the pacing of this drama is quite ridiculous. they better give us a plot twist on ep 6. there are way too much fillers that I think they can revise the whole 30 eps into just 20.
I have no issues with the casts and their acting. they are doing a great job. i love the story, but it's becoming so dragging. this is also my personal complaint on season 1. now they're doing it again. what's the use of the extra 10 episodes then? or else they're planning for a season 3...? *smh*
I think for your 1st question, it’s already answered in part 1. When Naksu wanted to do AOS to save herself…
right? i thought i was the only confused one. i get it if Naksu gains her own power. but to recover Buyeon's "divine powers" too when the soul is already dead and the body does not have it? where is the sense in that? unless maybe (1) Naksu has divine powers too, or (2) Naksu is Jin Buyeon herself. ah, this show is really making me use my brain haha!
I think for your 1st question, it’s already answered in part 1. When Naksu wanted to do AOS to save herself…
ah yes you're right. Buyeon must have trapped Naksu's soul to prevent her from doing AOS using the soul ejector (produced by ice stone). at any rate, she once tried destroying the ice stone herself so she prolly detected Naksu's gonna use it. (am I right in this?)
about the "divine powers" thing, this part confuses me the most. I rewatched the convo between Mama Jin and Master Lee and Master Lee said something along the lines, "Buyeon's body has no divine powers..." if that is it, then does it mean Naksu also has divine powers on her own to bring out? I'm puzzled as to where will those divine powers come from.
just finished watching ep 22 and it was mind-boggling! i am left with too many questions now...
why did Buyeon lock Naksu's soul in her body? on what purpose? am I the only one who missed that?
was that really the end of Buyeon? how pitiful of her! so all this time, this powerful priestess only served as the vessel of Naksu's soul in the story? i don't see the justice in that.
i'm so confused of what Master Lee said. so the body of Buyeon with Naksu's soul in it has the possibility of recovering the divine powers. I thought it was Buyeon's soul who possesses it. if she's gone, how will it be recovered?
also, the parallelism of Master Seogyeong and Jin Seolran. the drought currently prevailing in Daeho. if another rite is performed, then there is a possibility that another ice stone will be formed. and then Daeho chaos part 2. to be saved this time by Jang Uk and Jin Buyeon (with Naksu's soul)?
i know my questions all surround Buyeon. she's such a mystifying character to disappear just like that. she was grandly described in s1 and that was the end of her? but well, there're still 8 more eps and I'm waiting for my questions to be answered along the way.
anyway, this season overall restored my giddiness and excitement. can't wait for another weekend to see the next eps!
P.S. I don't mean to ask anyone my questions above. they're just questions in my mind that I want to let out somewhere haha! I hope Hong Sis will not present us with shallow justifications given how they bewildered us over the course of 30 episodes. I'm a long time fan of Hong Sis and have seen instances when their plot twist isn't really "twisting" and the reveal isn't really "revealing". given that they put so much effort in writing this story, i'm looking forward to a satisfying ending.
this could've been one of my fave dramas this year if not for the ending. the ending messed the past 11 episodes up. nevertheless, I'm still rewatching some of my fave scenes coz they're fun!
My love for Suyeon grows in each ep as much as my anger towards Minwoo haha! And I thought Junho will confess his feelings first, but our straightforward Young Woo did it before he could. Aigoo! Ep 7 gave me mixed emotions, but overall good and enjoyable!
Unpopular opinion: I know Buyeon will someday be able to control her body from Naksu, and I for one not looking…
If ever Buyeon wakes up, I strongly believe there is good enough reason for her to do so. She could be one of those who'll help prevent the impending chaos about the misuse of the soul ejector, just like what happened 200 years ago with the help of Master Seogyeong and Jinyowon leader Seolran. With that, her character shouldn't be left out. I understand you tho - you could be saying this out of attachment to JSM as Naksu/Mudeok. But everything should eventually fall into place.
At this point, I'm looking forward to Bu Yeon "waking up" from her body. I bet she'll come out when Jang Uk and Naksu face a great trouble. She's been helping the two thus far. I'm so curious about her!
part 2 - 8/10 (chemistry is amazing! but again, the plot is slow, much slower than part 1. lots of plot holes, underdeveloped scenes and characters.)
overall I enjoyed, but maybe I was expecting too much. i'm still glad i watched this one heck of a journey.
