I honestly don't care about this drama's MDL rating. For me, this is a solid 9.5. This is the kind of drama that makes me excited for a new episode every week. Not many dramas can do that for me. The concept itself is refreshing. I'm going to miss this a lot. This will definitely be one of the dramas that I'll rewatch whenever I need something comforting (and when I miss Kang Seongjae's cooking too) 😊
Finally finished watching this and I love it!!! The ERPB team members are all capable and intelligent! I just have one question - what happened to Hwang Gi Tae??? That old man needs to learn a lesson too! It's a shame we never got to see it.

your comment is spot on. i can relate to this because this is my mindset while watching the first 2 eps. besides, we were already informed of the FL's survival skills (having started as a maid servant before becoming a queen consort). hence, I reckoned, she'll also adapt well in the present time after passing the confusion phase. i don't want to be critical as that's what will lead to disappointment. i'm here for the fun!
p.s. I hope the production team keeps the momentum of the FL's character. she should remain strongheaded and not another damsel in distress!
currently watching this and these are the ones on my hate list: 1. Feng Lin - my blood boils everytime she's on the screen. she can't stand anyone doing better than her. she also manipulates situations to her favor.
2. Lin Mei's family - I would literally cut them off if I was her ugh. not sure what's the deal with her sister-in-law. how come she's that arrogant???

it was hard to accept that my pookie Wei Liang has to die. i really bawled my eyes out when that scene came. and Wei Qu had to lose one arm to save Manman's father while carrying Wei Liang's dead body on his back. these parts will probably haunt me on the next few days. 😭
