yes, I agree that Jiaxu is very unreal and rare haha! hmmmm... well, I must say the parents' worry is true based on what happened to me. but actually, Sangzhi's parents dealt with the concerns way calmer than my parents did. my parents almost disowned me! but I understand - I was 16 then, while Sangzhi is 19, that's why our parents' approaches are different. like the usual, parents wanted their kids to finish studies before anything else. my parents then asked me not to act rashly because they know for sure my perspective in life will change later on. they don't want me to regret my life choices. so, I did as they say, having caused them too much pain and worry. I finished my studies, never got pregnant, found a job, and they were right - there are so much for me to learn and experience than to settle down at a young age.
we already broke up a decade ago (I'm 31 now hee~) after being together for more than 5 years. my views in life suddenly changed after I turned 20, and it didn't sit well with him. back then, i just started exploring the big world out there, while he's already rushing to settle down. i don't want that coz I felt too young for marriage yet sooo... our relationship ended on a really bad note. with that, I must say Jiaxu and Sangzhi's relationship is very ideal.
I'm almost finished watching this drama (3 more eps to go!) I still prefer WIFTY over this, but I can totally relate with the plot of this drama. I also had a relationship with my brother's friend who's 5 years older than me (I was 16 at the time). Seeing the criticisms surrounding this drama, in hindsight, I kinda understand where people are coming from. I don't totally agree with them though. They're bringing up the hurtful memories of my past for having a relationship with an older guy haha
Just finished watching this and, for me, this is a solid 9/10. Sure, we were left with so many questions such as, what happened to Detective Dongsik, how Misook is currently living her life, did Haejun completely never made efforts to find his mother in the present time, etc. However, the concept was relayed pretty well. Maybe, it's such that, I never expected too much from this drama that's why it greeted me with a pleasant surprise. I'm satisfied with the ending too. The leads' may not have a kissing scene (only hugs, holding hands, and loving gazes at each other) but they still made my heart flutter, moreso after seeing their 'future' together. The present they went back to is still never perfect, but it's better now after resolving the misunderstandings in the past. I wished the drama could've aired a special episode though to answer our questions.
P.S. What happened on May 16? Did the leads just ramble about this date randomly in the last episode? Or did I miss something??? haha!
after putting this drama off for a long time, I finally finished this. took me 3 days, and I watched this without skipping. I'm surprised this is better than what I expected. perhaps, one of the major reasons why I avoided this drama is because of the bad reviews here in MDL. but we all have preferences, and as for this one, although it isn't that groundbreaking, I enjoyed it.
Can anyone explain to me why Quanquan calls her "mommy" only rarely but calls her "Mui Hui" most of the time?
same question! is it a cultural thing? coz i don't usually call my parents on first name basis. it's disrespectful. but i sometimes/rarely do when we were joking around and I know for sure they will not get offended.
Ok i have watched it till epds 8 here is my question do they like each other , i mean when ml first appeared fl…
agree to this. ML and FL obviously have lingering feelings for each other. at any rate, they're still too in love with each other at the time when they broke up and never fully moved on from the break up since. they still care for each other too, coz if not, they can just act civil for their child's sake. but ofc, so many years have already passed and they can't just rekindle their romance in a snap.
Totally agree!!! I literally skipped the 2nd and 3rd cp scenes and watch just the heart warming 3ppl family haha.
yeah right? haha! the side couples' plots are becoming annoying fillers to the overall story. but it's okay, i must endure for xin qi, min hui, and quanquan's sake. this drama is actually better than Once We Get Married in my opinion. i just don't wish to see a character in later episodes attempting to break the romance between ML and FL. doctor zhou is already safe since we're already spoiled that he'll end up with the volunteer girl.
the side couples' (2nd and 3rd couples) stories are too ridiculous and pure cringe to an intolerable point. sorry for saying this.
how come an adult woman living alone easily trusted a guy she barely knows to ask him to stay with her? i get that he's injured and has no one to take care of him, but to the extent of inviting him to live in your house for the time being? really? nah. i also cringed hard on the swimming pool scenes. her 'returning' the disposed razor is such a verrryyyy lame excuse ugh. haha!
as for the volunteer girl, her persistence is irksome. i know doctor zhou will warm up to her later on. but for now, i don't like her method of chasing guys. it's like she's disturbing the guy's peace to get her way.
anyway, I still enjoy this drama overall and anticipate the next episodes! i don't want to skip scenes, so whenever a scene i don't particularly like comes into the screen, i make sure i change the speed to 1.75x or 2x so I can get over it easily without losing the context haha!
currently on ep 4 and I'm so frustrated how they constantly make noises when they are supposed to be silent haha! but on the other hand, i kinda understand that it's also very likely for you to mess up more in a state of panic. my heart is beating ao fast rn.
I'd be suspicious of On Ha Joon for now. He's overstepping the boundaries for a newbie. Granting that he's curious about what lies ahead of that secret door, but I won't be that bold for a newbie. I just hope he has no bad secret agenda up his sleeves. Don't make me hate Shin Jae Ha in two dramas haha!
why would you, if you do it with reason not everyone must love/like any drama others like or dislike. I loved…
oh I don't mean to sound disrespectful in my comment above (sorry, if that's how it looks like to you. i tried my best to choose my words tho English is not my first language). anyway, i've been watching kdramas for almost 2 decades and have seen better premier eps. i never said i hated this drama's premiere eps, i said they're average. regarding the confusing parts, can't remember everything but one would be me wondering the current relationship between CP, Jaeyi (FL), and Seong On. it was hinted they've known each other since childhood (the river scene where the two have been given wrong direction), but what about now? do they still know each other or not? CP and Seong On talked like they know who Jaeyi is, but Jaeyi doesn't seem to remember them because she doesn't even know what her fiancé looks like. and does Seong On already has a one-sided love for Jaeyi given his huge disappointment that she "murdered" her entire family? this is having the same vibes as the forbidden marriage, but at least early on in the forbidden marriage, i already understood SML's love for FL even before their marriage. here, i just don't quite understand.
i might be hated for this, but the premiere eps are so-so for me. it might take a few more eps for me to say i'm immersed to the story (or a few more eps to decide dropping this). reason? some parts are just confusing to me even though i'm paying full attention. also, the editing of some scenes look quite awkward heh~ but i'm not giving up on this drama yet. perhaps, it'll get better. let's see. :)
okay I'm now on ep 3. i know the ML will eventually have a character development, but his arrogance irks me off currently. i hope to get past this. i'm so done with tsundere MLs tbh
She never was Jin Bu-yeon though, she was Jin Seol-ran. Both BY stans and Naksu stans were wrong 😂 Eggs on…
yes I know. but she was sort of reborn as Buyeon so I addressed her like that. but anyway, it's so funny how people are too quick to judge and spread it around. word of mouth sure is scary sometimes haha
