Jun 5, '23 -- Third Uncle & family were on their way to replace the elder magistrate, but because of delays and detours they did not arrive in time. It possibly saved their lives. Third Uncle leaves his party to investigate Qing County and sends them on to Hua County, here we see CSS's spirit and strength to survive and keep those with her safe. She rises to the occasion. Young Lord LBY arrives to save 'young miss CSS'.Jul '23 -- Li Buyi shows up in time; body guard manages to get in trouble with his comments -- don't want to spout too much without spoiling the episode for everyone.

Ep3 -- Meet sweet 3rd Lady Cousin YangYang, I hope she remains sweet. FL CSS & mother, Lady CY continue to misunderstand each other.Ep4 -- Lady CY brings about discipline of 2nd Sister-In-Law and openly shows her love for 3rd Lady Cousin YY, while withholding her love for daughter, CSS.Style: love it! the women; men; military -- outstandingEp5 -- ML General Ling watches the Cheng's family carriage as the 1st snow falls -- is he reminiscing of the young 4th young lady CSS (interesting)? CSS meets her 2 brothers -- fun, loving 2nd & 3rd brother.

Cui Xing Zhou/ML is coming home frequently to be with Miantang, he recalls when he 1st found her in the pool by a waterfall with both her wrists tendons cruelly cut through.Conversation between Physician Zhao to Cui Jiu where Cui says Miantang thinks he's a good for nothing and wants to support the family: "From a distance, the wolves covet the foxes around you. You're living in constant vigilance. A beautiful woman suddenly appeared. She doesn't want to take anything or obtain anything and trusts you unconditionally. She loves you and cares about you very much. If it were me, I'd rather be good-for-nothing too even though I am already one.Cui warns Physician Zhao again to stay away from Miantang.

What a good wife -- Miantang goes to recruit painter, Mr Hates, for their porcelain business; Marquis/Physician Zhao Quan is attracted to Miantang and Cui Jui is starting to be jealous. Cui Jui's trap's are not working to lure Lu Wen out. Physician Zhao Quan reminds Cui Jui about his real engagement. Now how to unravel this new plot? What! Our ML is engaged!Lord Haiyang already knows what a scheming fiancee he has.

Cui Jiu has set up the party as a trap to capture the bandit Lu Wen who is known to love his concubine Miantang. So Miantang is the bait. Hot water is a good way to burn your molester -- nephew of the garrison commander -- ouch.

Loving this couples interaction -- She's so accomplished and he now confesses to being a useless rich son, hahaha; you have to try harder 'husband'. Liu Miantang is accosted by the nephew of the garrison's commander and she wants justice from Lord Huaiyang.

What an opening -- ML definitely skilled w/martial arts and the villain!?! Lovely FL from 'Oh My General' -- finally recognized her and she has finally earned herself a great script. I loved when she first called him 'husband' and he acknowledged 'ai/yes'. He has a great voice. The gossipy neighbors truly gives this drama the humorous touch and the bickering couple next door could be heard that unknowingly makes their marriage look good.ML: Cui Jui/Lord Huaiyang, Cui XaoiFL: Lui Main Tang, Lu Wen's concubine, also Cui Jui's fake wifeThey really display her beauty well. And paired the perfect actors for their roles.

Here is where we see the Emperor's love for Young Lord LBY. Their relationship is very endearing. Emperor pressures LBY to find a wife so that he has someone he wants to stay home for and no longer go to war. Emperor wants a magnet for LBY so when he does go to war he will always return home safe for his love one. He wants LBY to have children to continue 'Hua bloodline. Here we see CSS & A'Yao's friendship growing. Elder Magistrate granddaughter is seriously injured, CSS goes w/A'Yao to care and encourage her back to health. Third Uncle is taking care of his wife, Shun Hua, who was badly injured during an attack on the way to Hua County. CSS, Uncle & A'Yao, with others rebuilds Hua County. Shout out to General LBY's R&L hand deputy generals/subordinates: Liang Qiu Fei/A'Fei & Liang Qiu Qi/A'Qui, you couldn't have paired up great supporters for LBY. Their acting, martial-arts action and humor comes through. I'm chuckling into the next episode... hahaha!

May '23 We meet Lou Ben, Lou A'Yao's older brother. Lou Ben agrees to A'Yao breaking his engagement to Zhao Jun. CSS runs away to Qiqi's home and LBY who is after a map from General Wan meets up with CSS and decides to also stay at the Wan's home. The scene where CSS doesn't know how to ride a horse yet doesn't admit it to LBY, LBY tells her 'to don't put herself in danger' and gently adjusts her foot strap and puts her foot into foot holding and says 'a good horse will understand people, if you fear it, he will take advantage of you. This is how you train a horse. In this world, most other things are basically this way.' Wow if circumstances and the way of life could be that easy with this statement... what a wonderful world we would live in. With that said, LBY goes on to end their conversation with '... if I were really too close to you, it's because I've admired you for a long time, but you are not interested in me at all.' CSS realizes he over heard her statement in an earlier episode and apologizes, but I think LBY was confessing to her -- he really did admire her for a long time. CSS being naive does not catch it, she is truly a slow bloomer.Jul '22 In an earlier episode CSS met Uncle Wan for the 1st time and Uncle Wan told her to come to him anytime if she needs help from her mother, Lady Cheng Yuanyi -- CSS runs away from home and goes to the Wan's -- Uncle Wan doesn't recognize CSS at 1st because of her self inflicted wounds (hahahahaha) & General Ling happens to be leaving Uncle Wan as CSS arrives. We met Qiqi Wan (daughter) in an earlier episode and Qiqi is a great older sister/friend that defends CSS. We meet Grandma Wan for the first time and she likes CSS spirit. Mother Wan feels that CSS should keep harmony & report disgruntles to the elders -- CSS is safe with the Wan's. I want to give a shout out to LBY's 2-main 1st-line-officers -- they are a hoot! Also these episodes are 45min+ it goes by quickly, it feels like 20min. Thoroughly enjoying LLTG!

May '23 This episode I realized that He Zhao Jun & Lou A'yao play the perfect fighting couple. This also is the meeting of Prince Xiao Shi Zi a 2nd time, who is trying to influence Zhao Jun to marry him. The fighting couple breaks off their engagement because of this additional misunderstanding, being engaged from a young age they just continued to go down the rabbits hole willingly.Jul '22 My goodness I love a good laugh & this episode had me in stitches -- Cheng Shaoshang continues to be straightforward, bold, not cheeky like the other young ladies & saves & defends 'sweet' cousin against 'mean girls'. CSS also finds out 11th Young Master is General Ling Bu Yi in their 2nd encounter (face-to-face) -- all 3-admirers show up in attempt to end cat-fight but CSS ends it with a bang!A lot happening in this episode -- a broken engagement, LBY saves CSS by finding evidence to keep her from being punished by Old Princess Consort as LBY is also following the clues for his main investigation on the stolen arms case and CSS runs away from home.

May '23 Focus on CSS' 2nd admirer -- Yuan Shen -- Young Master Scholar, who has taken a fancy to CSS but is going about it in a round-about-way, at the same time as a favor for his master, who once was engaged to CSS' 3rd Uncle's wife, Sang Shun Hua. Handsome, well educated, high reputation and sought after by many young female admirers. From start CSS never acknowledges him like his many admirers and so he is highly attracted to CSS. We also meet Qiqi, General Wang's daughter, straight forward, bold and daring. She and the Cheng girls hit it off instantly. What a bag-of-fun when CSS & Qiqi are together.Jul '22 Music: Opening: music accommodates the flute which ties in with CSS' instrument she plays & closing music ties in with leads feelings for one another -- music took a bit to warm up to -- but now love it! At the open house we meet Uncle Wan...

May '23 Still fully enjoyed this ep! Siblings love clearly felt for one another and inclusion of 'sweet' cousin isn't missed. CSS' bold defense and Yuayi' clearly being called out on favoritism is felt by the entire family, Yuayi' prejudice towards CSS' lack of upbringing clearly shows.Jul '22 Wow! Servants at large... CSS sticks up for her personal servant, defends her brothers and does not have hard feelings toward 'sweet' cousin. Love 3rd Auntie, saved the day. Lanterns -- Or -- rather 'love is in the air' -- besides General LBY, CSS meets 2-additional admirers... at the Lantern Festival, very delightful scene...

I found out that once you write a review, you can't edit so my reviews were repeated from #s1-2 -- Also I have to say that I love this storyline so much that this is the 1st time I'm writing reviews per ea/episode w/out giving any spoilers. So sorry if this is my longest review.Ep1 -- first meetings of the M/FLs. We also meet FL's family and her mischievous fun/clever personality. ML also seems to have developed an interest into this young mistress and remembers her name. This is also the first meeting of FL and parents/father & mother. Ep2 -- Pieces of ML's background is being revealed to us. While in the FL's family they are discovering some of the underhanded despicable things that shows how biase the matriarch/g-ma is w/her daughter-in-laws; her immediate family and extended family. We also see how clever FL's mother is. We also see why FL is so mischievous & tries to bring justice about her own way. While another appreciates it (ML), sadly it leads to some misunderstandings between her and her mother.Ep3&4 to follow w/Ep5...

Jun 5, '23 -- CSS' punishment doesn't go un-noticed by A'Yao -- like a loyal puppy he follows CSS as she is exiled by her mother CY. Again the relationship between her and 3rd Uncle & Aunt is well heartfelt.Jul'23 -- I'm loving the Laughing General Ling Buyi. Shocked at Lady’ Cheng Yuayi & CSS hard headed; refuses to bend attitude that leads to the Military Punishment and exile of CSS to live with 3rd Uncle & Aunt – CSS exiled to Hua County. And who is the tattletale??? Is Grandma Wan the wiser or did Ling Buyi tattle on CSS? LOL at LBY sending medicine, CSS blames him for tattling on her and dumps medicine calls LBY ‘the disaster deity’ and possible spy/spies in the manner? A lot going on in this episode and love it all.Shout out to Qing Cong – caring sworn sister of Lady Cheng Yuayi... the episode had me rolling with chuckles... hahahah.
