this show is really underrated. some people don't enjoy sci-fi I guess.
Sadly, it's the point, it's not good Sci-Fi. Too much holes in the time travel concept. I don't have time to make the whole list here, but wow! Except that, the screenwriter is still good for points about the investigation logic. Too bad she made the drama boring in episode 1-5. Even with a lot of Sci-fi inconsistencies, the drama is still better in episode 6-8.
Structured makjang. I'm stuck in the middle, and loose desire to watch.
Not a really bad drama, but many repetitives scenes, dialogs where I don't see how it makes the story move forward. First episode was half/half. First half exposition on the nose, and second half quite good with a nice cliffhanger. Else, we have common tropes of cheabols families in kdrama.
Acting is ok, with experimentated actors like Joo Sang Wook and So Yi Hyun, but not so good with a few secondary characters. Or it's just the characters are writed a bit caricatural.
I found one scene that put me a tear in the eye. It was about the SFL when she saves the little girl.
Just watched 3 first episodes. Fast paced and very fun once you get the kind of comedy it is. I feel it's useless to look for something serious, I guess the whole drama could be like that. Re-use of some tropes. I couldn't say trope subversion, but rather derision, as the drama the grandpa watch on TV have the same situations than the ML. I like a lot the SFL. For once, it looks like there isn't love triangle, but rather friendships, and each one try to achieve their love story.

Go for that!!! You have two kind of dramas about this: - Old school, not really time travel story. Just a lead change time at the start of the drama, then come back at the end. I guess, it's not what you are aiming. You can still watch Rooftop prince, Moon lover, or maybe Dr Jin, they are still good dramas. - Real time travel story. Writer Song Jae Jung unlocked this when it was the fashion of the first category I listed. Queen In Hyun man and Nine Time Travel. Of course, watch that. Nine time travel is a bit slow on start (3 or 4 first episodes), then it's one of the best time travel story, without inconsistencies. - Other kdramas, go for 365 repeat the year, crazy fast pace. Go for Sisyphus (but prepare your brain!), which is for now a bit more consistent than Grid (with informations I get from episode 7 and are nebulous with many potential plot-hole). I can't say about "Alice", I didnt watch it yet, but will do one day. - Very boring time travel: the taiwan drama "someday or one day", just here, you sleep before the end of the episode. The King Eternal monarch don't focus exactly on time travel (even it's part of the soup), could be disapointing about a huge number of elements. Still, if you are ready to that, just enjoy the good lines of the writer and her ability to show esthetic and cheesy situations.
I did the timecode breakdown of episode 7. Very good episode (it's why I timecoded) but it seems to have some inconsistencies. By picking up on a lot of details, it's a bit clearer.
I may have made a mistake on who was considered SH's father before. About that, Check DramaTime333 explanation just below in SPOILER, look like the right thing. So my point about a possible second travel of Ghost may be irrelevant.

A catastrophe makes the sun explode, collision with a small black hole for example. From second to second the explosion approaches the earth. Except that thanks to the Grid, the time of the earth is accelerated, which makes it possible to live centuries before being impacted by the explosion.
As for the theory of general relativity, in the case of an extreme gravity or speed of light, time passes more slowly, while for the rest it goes at normal speed. Except that here, it is inverted. It is the time in the grid that flows faster, while the time outside is as if frozen from inside the grid.
If you find boring or do not understand the flow, I think Sci Fi might not be your thing. This is pure Sci-Fi…
I'm also a SF fan, but it's best to have something that hits with that. On emotions I mean, not necessarily a romance. It's maybe the weakness of this writer because Stranger was low on this too (except a wonderfull scene). More intellectual stuff.
Grid story have some slow pace or something unclear about the purpose. I speak about the plot, not the events. And emotions about that, the thrill, not much. Goosebumps, none. Even with the right background musics that help.
About concept, for now we don't have the whole on grid, but about time travel, I can't say it's the best, but not disapointing. I won't make a whole list to compare. It's more we get something specific that make the touch of the drama. For example, the scene in the metro, we get first the normal scene, then the rewind and the alternate time rebuild by the ghost. On that it's nice. What makes it like that in Grid is because the Ghost can do it often. Of course the "rebuild" reality thing is not new.
I watch it quietly, but no enthousiasm. I'm not hooked so I'm in a hurry to watch the next episode. I could drop the drama, It would makes me nothing. Of course I won't, as it's still nice. I'm not a "anti-fan" of this drama. Just jaded.
I'm confident in this, first a domestic chanel... and these two ones in the space?! Wow!!! A funny actress like Gong Hyo Jin is a very good match with the more serious Lee Min-Ho. I remember the comedy scenes from "Legend of the blue sea" and it's a good combination. I'm really curious to see them, it's such unexpected team.
