Here is a slightly mature comment. I put it in spoiler as a precaution.
Kdramas show a great sense of modesty. So you have to read between the lines to know what mature content is involved.
Here is the bed scene between So Jin and her ex-husband. And later, we see So Jin doubting her future marriage with director Joo. This means something a bit crude: So Jin is dissatisfied with her sexual relationship with Joo Dan Tae. For years, she didn't have sex with her former husband Ha Yoon Chul. The kind of thing that happens in married couples, especially if there are serious misunderstandings. But the bed scene in New York allowed the two characters to rediscover the pleasure they had at the beginning of their relationship. Ha Yoon Chul certainly has a gift to better satisfy this woman! She often calls him a loser, but at the same time, he has more sensitivity to understand his wife's needs in terms of pleasure and tenderness. So, it's sharp, but Joo Dan Tae is not a good bedtime fuck! At least, very inferior to Ha Yoon Chul.

If you look whole season 1 and more.
When So Jin throws her 4 truths to someone else, it's almost always her truths that come out. There are countless scenes where she accuses others about something, and in reality, it applies to her first and foremost. Her accusations against others are accusations against herself. She makes fun of her former husband and accuses him of still having feelings for her. Translation: She is the one who is concerned! She still wants him!

Did you fully watched season 1 ?
I wanted to be sure, so not to give spoiler to you. ;-)
Ok, it's a makjang, there is way to do this. Hidden sister, or new woman with plastic surgery. So, not the same character but same actress. But here, look like it's more based on importance of death. Many content of the drama is dark comedy, sometimes offbeat parody scenes. Also, the drama can be taken seriously about dramatics events or because great acting. Make the death irreversal reinforce this. But who know ? Season 3 maybe ?
I suppose about Season 2 that the story can't accomodate with a new character like this, in the new plot. So, it's quite a good new, it means the writer focus first on a good structure than throw anything.
Lee Ji Ah return could make a better impression during Season 3. So if the character appears during last cliffhanger of Season 2 , we will be fixed about this. If not, I doubt we see her anymore.

No spoiler, general opinion on Episode 1, I tried to understand what the writer did :
Set up a new mystery. Exhibition of all the characters, and while done that : solve previous plots, make captivating or surprising scenes, start many subplots, then etablish the new situation during cliffhanger.
All this very fast paced, with high level of crazyness, dark comedy, and various harsh content, abuse, violence, moral insanity. Overall clarity, right acting and high addicting power.

Its shocking especially since this is a 22 million dollar show. It's JTBC's 10 Year anniversary drama, and this…
There is mysteries about that. When I watched the drama Signal, it was obvious for Scenes from the past. The images are distorted and contracted. It's ugly and makes the action unreadable. Worse, the actors' acting and their emotions are slaughtered. And it was so easy to change, make a normal picture, but with bolder black stripes, or any non destructive way. It's like nobody in the production rewatched the drama after editing !

I saw the making too and I'm confused as to why many car scenes were filmed in green screen. Was that necessary?…
A choice must be made:
1 - Tell the story within the budget.
2 - Tell it like a movie that would cost 10 times more.

The 2nd choice has been made. Of course, having as many action scenes as a big budget movie, but with a budget ten times less, some scenes will have difficulties to be successful. We need to use more green screen technique.
I prefer the first choice because it gives more coherence and seriousness. For example, the series 24h. All the action scenes have a realistic side, there are never "over the top" stunts. Car accidents, yes, but not cars flying after using a springboard. It's less spectacular, and more visceral.

An example of a low-budget film that made action scenes requiring 10 times the budget: Ultraviolet (2006). The film has a bad rating, unfairly. The lack of budget was compensated by a comic-book aesthetic. Some scenes are ugly, unrealistic, unbelievable, but on the whole this film is amazing for its aesthetic quality, turning ugly things into crazy things.

Even with some flaws, this drama is amazing. ;-)
During episode 2 there was a parody scene of Terminator 2 (striptease scene).
I wonder if the "hanging a cable" scene isn't also comedy parody with a reference. Watch "Back the future 1", around 1h40, there is also a "hanging a cable" scene.

When you think about that, americans show like GOT or Westworld are 10M dollars PER one hour Episode ! It would be 180M if it was Sisyphus. x10 ratio.

Title Sisyphus: The Myth Spoiler
The execution and logic of the actions scenes are so ridiculous, I can't help but wonder if the writer did that…
I won't talk about stunts too spectacular to the point of being ugly. For the rest, some action scenes are forced. This is to emphasize the characters. And it's likely that if this wasn't done, the audience would be frustrated in other ways as well. It's important to create a balance between the fighting aspect of Seo Hae and the intelligent aspect of Tae Sul even during the action scenes. Therefore, it is necessary for the writer or director to promote and guide the action scenes for this. Hence this "forced" side. For example, the attack on the apartment, Seo Hae gets her share of glory by fighting in the smoke. One of the men in the CB is smart enough to use a fan. This forces the two heroes to hide in the kitchen. There, it's the occasion for the script to balance the two characters, it's Tae Sul's turn to have his share of glory by using his intelligence: transforming coca bottles into missiles. This is plausible, if we look at the youtube videos, we can see that the bottle is indeed that fast when it takes off. However, to allow for all this, the scene gives an unnatural impression. The drama must prevent the CB agents from acting too fast. And this is a flaw found in many other scenes. You get the impression that they are dragging their feet and that they could act more quickly. Provided that the drama does not contain an additional fantasy element, such as Seo Hae's ability to distort the time around her.

Title Sisyphus: The Myth Spoiler
the drama is growing on me despite some of the unrealistic scenes. i'm intrigued by quite a few things...- the…
One of the theory is time travelers and maybe infected people generate a strange radiation, and could do it at will, what they call "run" in the drama. A kind of anentropic forcefield that spread around. It generate time inconsistencies, or make immediate time around the traveller to change. Like, the traveller change slightly their timeline and look like disapearing (train scene), or some of their attributes are delayed (shoot the gun, with no magazine, because in the alternate time line there is one). It create problems of memory or confusion in the world and some timeshift. Park assistants alway forget everything. Policemen don't remember when was the kidnaping. 72h pass in a flash. Some reccursions, Sun give 5 bananas, but next scene, he give again 5 bananas.

Yes! Here there is something else. When you watch what follow, think more about what it means when they say "run".…
Did you know that the coca cola + butane trick was real ? many videos on youtube make demonstration of it!
In the drama, it was a action-comedy feel, not my thing. But, let's say... the "macGiver" trick of the episode. Sadly, there was not "McGiver" trick in episode 3, I feel frustrated. Well, if you do jokes, as well do joke all the way. ;-)

I'm on the first ep.... So there was a drone flying in the air and FL was sitting on the train but all the baddies…
Yes! Here there is something else. When you watch what follow, think more about what it means when they say "run". Obviously, this scene is weird on purpose. Also, rewatch the scene. A guy with detector point out the exact opposite direction where the FL is supposed to be.
