The main actors are particularly good. Seo Joon Young is an actor I didn't know, and he brilliantly makes his tormented character understandable, while the spectator has no access to the inside of his mind. Perhaps being used to this type of story, I feel like I can guess some of the twists and turns in advance. Just imagine the worst situation, that's often what happens. ^^
For me it wasn't that bad as other people said. You have to have patience as the buildup is slower than other…
The main reason I started watching is because I like this kind of drama, when it's well done. Consistency of the fantasy phenomenon, not deus ex machina.
I'm sorry to all her fans, but I kinda agree. I watched four of her dramas and noticed that her characters are…
So true. Each drama is worse than previous one (I can't juge about Mr Sunshine, as I lost any hope about this writer, I didn't watch it). I needed some proof why she became popular, so I watched an old drama from here "On air", it was quite nice. So, after Secret garden, it's the slidedown. The heirs, not so bad. DOTS, bad but with good chemistry. Goblin, most boring drama. TKEM worst narrative/storytelling I ever seen. I'm curious to watch City Hall from her or maybe any older drama. But from now, I will keep droping what she do next, it's waste of time.

Funny things is even if you do this (notice detail, concentrate), it's useless, because in the end.... "maaaaaagic", all is magic ! And all you saw before is erased. Anyway, it's quite impossible to keep concentration with a so bad storytelling (splitting, scene jumping, no context scenes, useless characters and boring sub-plotline.) There is no way to memorize all this painful mess.
It is a little slow in the beginning, but after episode 8 it starts to pick pace. Don't listen to the haters who…
Just skip ep 1-8 and watch it starting episode 9. Well, it's episode 11 in real. Most of you see useless anyway. You can watch directly ep 16, you loose nothing. (but you don't win much either).
Objectively, yes, it's very bad. One needs very strong personal and subjective reasons to endure this.
You're welcome. ;-) LMH is a few better than usual. And he have to do this with a bad and unreadable script. So it say he is x2 better than usual. Some scenes are in "robot mode" tough, when actors really don't know what happens and where they going (just read the script...).
Same here! I was more excited about this than the final episode of The King: Eternal Monarch today lmao
yes, I posted on the drama commentary ;-) Too long to discuss here, but there's nothing senseless about preferring the daily to the weekly. I've often had this approach, but with sageuk. It's relative to the type of narration. Just a clue: dailies are sober and look like theater.
I'm in ! Ep20. Makjang but not only, some situations are also realistic. Lot of suffering and good inner contradictions. I guessed the twist and turn of episode 12 (or 11, 13, I don't remember). Because it's was the BEST twist in this story to do. Really Harsh! So... great in a makjang! ;-)
There are certain artificial processes that distract attention (the vomit scene or others like it). This hinders…
This drama is worth a 2nd watching. I will do it if I have time to do. I hope before watching episode 3. I also miss many things when I see dramas (or I don't remember something so easely), but for others reasons, I will also spot many things others don't spot (not on purpose, it's a reflex). Ahh! At first viewing, I focalize on immersion and just enjoy the drama. ;-)
The mess in comments is mostly made by hysterical people who project their own insecurities and half baked opinions…
Woo. That doesn't sound as funny as the mess on TKEM. ^^ Excessive idealism often tends to produce excessive behaviour or wrong results. As the proverb says, "Hell is paved with good intentions". And as this other proverb from my country says, "youth must happen". The trouble is when adults are still stuck in it, a quit common fact. ;-)
I hope the ML's first love was another girl. But, yes, there's reason to suspect the chillhood trope. It can be…
I think I'll re-watch the first two episodes before moving on to the next one. That is, if I have time. There are enough good scenes, and I'm curious to pay attention to the details of the narration. It's strange how sometimes there are remote correlations. One of the main characters in my dramascript has a lot in common with drama FL.
Again a drama with a mess in the comments. ^^ I don't even want to participate, since my interest in drama is not very high. But just... relax a little bit, we're talking about characters in a story, it requires a minimum of dissociation. Who wants to get mad at Darth Vader because he's evil?! Comedy or parody doesn't have to suffer from that, or you can stop laughing right now for the rest of your life. ;-)
I'm hung up on "psycho is okay," so for now I'm gonna drop "backstreet." Maybe I'll get the binge watch later, I don't know. It's not the kind of thing I want to wait for between episodes, and I don't want to re-watch the episodes, so if I see that, it'll be a one-time thing.
I have a lot of trouble with webtoon dramas though. I notice that many of these dramas have recurring flaws, and my list of favorite webtoon dramas (like Let's fight ghost) is not very long.
Here, the webtoon side is obvious, when Saet Byul has an immediate attraction for Dae Hyun. I feel like I'm reading the scenes as if I were reading a comic book. The fight scenes from the beginning are directly from a comic book. However, the comedy was successful when the drama abandons the overly artificial effects seen at the beginning, or the excess of overacting. The drama has qualities (actors, detailed professional environment), and perhaps they will be further developed in the coming episodes. So, when in doubt I just put this drama aside, we'll see later.

Or good ones, but designed for kids, like Harry potter.
