What a pleasant surprise. I see it on iQiyi set to aired today along with Love in Pavillion.
I hope everything look natural in this drama. Doesnt seem fun for Hu Yi Xuan to reshoot scenes from another actress. I couldnt find any new trailers for this drama with Hu Yi Xuan in it though.
I just can't get behind these kind of dramas. I had stopped watching straight dramas for almost a decade, until…
Yep, I like those too. Short dramas have been direct & refreshing. Unfortunately, for this drama, they going to try to redeem the ML somehow, annoying as it is
With this type of drama where ML start out not appreciating the FL, breaking her heart and then later fall in love with her, I especially like it when ML feel pain. The more pain the better and the more regretful he is later, the better. I'm enjoying the process of him falling in love with her and then realize he sister-zoned her, making her fall in love with someone else. Its feels pretty gratifying.
at first I thought ep 25+ reveal the Julie's identity, but then i rewatch and realize Julie's identity still remain…
I'm wondering if Julie is more than one person or even a crime group, that can hack into everyone devices. Or else how were they able to get rid of a dead body so quickly and efficiently, cleaning up the crime scene like nothing ever happen.
I'll be damn if Julie turns out to be just some super AI computer that develop its own consciousness trying to help people in their own twisted way like in those Black Mirror series.
Omg this is getting unsettling. I'm at Episode 25 now and I'm thinking why they have to be so cruel to little Chi Yu and Cheung Long. Even if Chi Yu recover from her illness, how is she gonna get over the fact that not only he accidently killed her bio-father but also her bio-mother too? Already getting that vibe like his life will be over no matter what happens next. They were gonna make such a beautiful family of three... πππ
I'm bracing for impact once the last episode air to finish the rest of the drama altogether if so many deaths are anticipated especially for the main characters
The ML is such a pathetic LOSER in this show wanting to destroy the whole world just to make himself feel better…
The point is anyone can have bad thoughts if treated unfairly but what truly separate evil and good is whether they turn those bad thoughts into reality and acted upon it. ML is such a person who is on the verge of meltdown but is still consider good because he deeply thinks and weighs the impact he can makes and hesitated many many times over. Someone truly bad won't hesitate at all to kill and destroy things, given the power. Opposite of Hannu who had spent hundreds of years consistently scheming her way to destroy the world and hurt others in the process without a thought to stop.
He was presented with many choices throughout the drama, it all involve killing people/letting ppl die or saving them and although he hesitated, he always chose saving them and forgiveness in the end over the worst case scenarios. He is in no way a loser. The world has not been nice to him and he was locked up for decades thus he succumbed to despair and pessimism yes. He was originally an outgoing, kind young man who care about his friends and family even before he fell in love with FL and this evidently shown thru all the final choices that he made.
(Btw, lets not forget that the people he had wanted vengeance on, aside from inflicting him pain also killed his entire family. Pretty darn good reason to destroy them if you ask me, yet he relent time and time again despite it all)
As much as he like to think him giving up on destroying the world was for FL's sake out of his own selfishness (because he has such an anti-hero mentality), the FL recognize all along that he has always been kind not just for her but its just a part of who he truly is
I look forward to any Li Landi's drama, family ones are no different. The trailer already interests me and I can tell I'm gonna like the sisterhood between her and Jiang Xin. Glad it just wraps today.
Been a long while since I last watch a TVB drama, there were some action scenes that was a little more dramatic than I'd like but the essence of what make TVB drama so great and compelling to watch like in older HK dramas were all there. I'm up to episode 10 atm and the relationships between the couples, colleagues, friends and family were all fun to watch. Each cases has been very interesting and touching along with the mysteries behind Julie which kept me even more invested. Nicely done.
I have heard that this is a toxic love story .... Is it?
lol if by toxic mean he killed FL a couple of times...but to be fair, he accidently killed her once thinking she should already be dead and then he thought she was some sort of spy from demon clan out to harm him so he keeps running away from her. Sure remind me of Love in Eastern Fantasy, her deaths in the beginning serve more as comical relief. After all her sacrifices to save him though, he became gentler and more protective of her welling being. There are also many deep conversations between the two that brought them closer to understanding each other inner nature that can be quite mature and philosophical.
Theres no love triangles or annoying SFL/SML (well beside the villains who just want power and to destroy the world) so love story is barely toxic.
ML doesn't want others. I haven't saw him with others at opening either, there is other couples in it as well.
Theres another umbrella scene after the main couple where the same girl spins around but if its the sister then that make sense too. Thanks. I'll give it a try

well, during the opening theme song, I saw scenes of ML happily shooting arrows and under an umbrella with another girl that is not the FL... thus I asked the question
Am I the only one that think costumes here is pretty and at least on par with the costumes in Love of a Thousand Years? They're both from the same universe after all so it wouldn't make sense if one drama have fancier costumes and hairstyles than the other.
JTY hairstyle was a little weird at start but it gets better. Not too sure what people complaining about. Is it really that bad that people would turn down the entire drama?
So from opening sequence, it looks like ML will likes and be with multiple women or will he only love the FL despite having other consorts? Can someone confirm this for me before I watch? I'm really not one for fickle men.
Wow. AvenueX gave almost 3 gold mines rating to this drama! (but still there is good things and bad things). You…
Well, she drops it to 2 gold mines because it couldn't live up to its potential toward the end and some other technical negativity. I agreed, it could be so much more, one of its kind, if it had sticks the landing.
In the book, just as Ji Tan Yin became a goddess due to her art of craftsmanship (according to the rules of this…
I dont know how embroidery coming to life can help people. At least JTY's craft can benefit humankind for generations. JTY's laoshi taught many disciples and is also the pioneer of many other things, yet he did not become a god.

Now I can't watch anything else without missing this drama. ππππ
