This is so beautiful. Li Landi did it again. I find that she surpasses herself on each and every projects. Always something different with refreshing concepts. She or whoever helps her really know how to pick her the right scripts. I'm so glad to be her fan. Now I'm just sad that I have to say goodbye to another one of her wonderful drama and back to waiting for her next one to air plus rewatching her previous ones

Some of us cracked up at that scene (me included). 😂😅 My heart would break for him back in LYF whenever that song plays but here it was just so hilarious for some reason when he bawls his eyes out drinking and vomit and the girls be celebrating 🤣

I thought it was a brilliant scene that they were able to do 360° emotional shift with his sad song.

They shouldve made him question is sexuality too by falling for Quan Sheng Tang (SCC male version). Lol 😂 Missed opportunity tsk

Episode 23-25 is so cute! Tbh I was worried about the chemistry between FL and ML at the beginning. I didn't like that he was so cold to her and keep misunderstanding her while falling for her other filter appearances. It was also awkward because of the embarrassing moments FL had to endure due to ppl's perception on her beauty. That did create less sparks between main leads when he keeps falling for different actresses that portrayed her. But I think once he started putting pieces together that they were the same person, the underlying, slow burn romance that has been dormant until now suddenly ignited and evolve into something sweet and delicious like we have now. Its like everything finally fall into their natural place.

I feel so giddy for upcoming episodes, can't wait to see more of their interactions

Lol same. I think they overdid the acne makeup on her teenage version but for LLD/SCC, even with few pimples on her face, I still think she look much more natural and prettier than other girls. Well, its a touch of fantasy in a world that have a different beauty standard than us, that sees her as "ugly", so to keep with the moral of the story about inner beauty, I have no choice but to play along meanwhile still enjoying the drama.

I'm at episode 8 rn and its so crazy, I'm dying from laughters. I love all the references like songs from the old Legend of White Snake and Tan Jian Ci's Lost You Forever (sad song but I couldn't help laughing at that scene. its perfect lol) Hope I get to see more references coming from Li Landi's other dramas too

Oh didn't think ML is colorblind like ML in GO into Your Heart (also costar LLD)

or the 70 years old lady who has been staying at the hotel for half a year. Clearly shes rich rich. No normal citizen would be able to stay that long without the money...

Tmr's episodes seem tense. Ex-bf better not do something underhanded like publicly smearing Su Ye's name or pressuring Xi Fan by using her work and the media. I feel like he has some ulterior motive for suddenly trying to get back with her, not because he actually "love" her. If he really regretted breaking up, he wouldnt wait months after to make up. The nerve of this guy...

I think she was so drunk she didnt remember the kiss otherwise she wouldn't be asking him the next morning, whether he meant her when he said he fell for a girl he met in April, which was the last thing she remember him say before she got drunk.

Is it really flirting though? She mentioned way before he confess that she treated him as a friend

Appears to me that while she was drunk, she wanted to turn him down nicely too when she started with the "Thank you for liking me..." but then maybe found him attractive and ended up kissing him? Same for when he was on the sofa and she snap out of it before actually committing the deed. Can't say I blame her for being mesmerize by that face and lips hahah (and with SY cunningly pretending to be asleep and hand drop that book no less)

Perhaps its the case of her brain telling her to think logically but her heart and body telling her otherwise. lol

She strikes me as more the introverted type who have trouble explaining herself and her complicated emotions when shes nervous or under pressure. She was also like this when she was face to face with her ex.

Man, I anticipated that Xi Fan will turn Su Ye down because of her emotional baggage but I didn't think people be blaming her like this. Tbh its not like she totally rejected his feelings, all she said was she has no plan of being in a relationship because shes gonna study abroad which is reasonable considering the pain and cause of her previous breakup. It doesn't mean she doesn't want to at least stay friends with him. She felt just as bad as him afterward.

Her bestie was being a good friend by telling her to go explain herself properly to him so she helps created an opportunity for them to meet and talk by bringing her to his place to eat. Initially Xi Fan wanted to avoid that too and felt it was not appropriate until Su Ye gave the okay. Thus saying that she showed up for the free food or was inconsiderate of his feelings really isn't fair either

Su Ye's junior saying what she said really overstep the line. It was supposed to be a matter between Su Ye and Xi Fan only and she shouldn't have meddled in without understanding both sides. Do you think she was selfless when she told Xi Fan to stop misleading or to stay away from Su Ye? No, I think she said all that out of jealousy and want Su Ye to quickly give up so she can have a chance. Even Su Ye realize why she said all that so I'm glad he put her in her place and ended her internship with him.

I was worried it would be like "Mr. Honesty" where FL lies would often be exposed by ML and he didn't care to make FL look bad and embarrassed in public (and I feel second-hand embarrassment easily too lol)

Luckily unlike ML in MH, the ML in City of Romance, although disliked lies, he is considerate enough to keep quiet until later privately confronting her about it and also understand that her lies are well-intentioned and meant no harm. I'm really liking this drama so far.

I must say from the ML forceful and mean attitude in the beginning, to the FL and ML's sister ridiculous screaming and yelling with their high pitch voices (the latter is worst) ... I'm kinda struggling to finish the drama. Them fighting can get pretty ridiculous and unreasonable at times. Although their relationships and character developements gets better in the second half of the drama. I feel 40 episodes is way too much.

I really like Li Qin's other dramas but here her role really doesn't fit her. She is so much better in more mature roles with a calmer tone.

Yeah I'm just worried since she had a bad experience with long-distance relationship with her jerk of an ex-bf, she may avoid Su Ye for a while in fear of burdening him or getting hurt. Though I can tell, with his gentleness, patience and reassurance she will eventually walk out of that emotional trauma.

That kiss caught me off guard with blushing cheeks and I'm smiling ear to ear. 🫣🥰🤭

Omg I hope tmr's episode won't start with Shi Fan rejecting him because shes going abroad soon.
I'll feel so bad for our boy who is so happy and so sweetly in love.
