The noodle scene was so cute!! Both of them smiling with food in their mouths had me grinning wider than they…
I also find it cute when the hairpin seller said that hairpins are especially given by lovers/husband to their wife as love tokens to signify lifelong commitment and he decided to buy it for her without a second thought, even to the point of committing fraud. lol 🤣❤️
Anyone have any idea/guess around which ep ml will find out fl is a goddess ??
Well (as of Ep 18), FL may have sworn oath not to disclose her real identity, but she is not trying at all to hide anything else about herself or her background. Shes has been upfront and as honest as she could (Really like that about her), and ML is inching closer and closer in his guesses.
At the moment, he thinks shes the Mute Goddess of Wu Mountain, a title given by humans when she saved them long ago. He knows both Wu Shuang and the Mute Goddess are both disciples of her teacher, Xie You, so he assumes shes the latter but little did he know she is also Wu Shuang. I believe he will figure it out soon enough
So great to see Baron Chen, wish he had bigger roles in these series. Loved him since I saw him as Glasses, he's…
Same here. I really like Baron Chen. He has a unique masculine charm, youthful yet mature, I couldnt take my eyes off him. Sometime I would rewatch Heroes or some of his older dramas because I missed seeing him on screen.
Despite the heated discussions and criticisms in here, can we take a moment to appreciate how precious Ah Zhi is. The child actress did a wonderful job in ep. 24. I never thought I would cry again after FL's mother death but here I am unable to stop the tears once Ah Zhi start hugging HanYan and begging her not to leave. Really nothing is more powerful and touching than a child's love to snap you back from the brink of being consume by revenge.
And tbh, imo the real OTP of this drama is the mother daughter bonds. HanYan and YunXi romance is more secondary, no use getting anxious over their scenes
Finally, an official Xianxia drama aired after a month waiting since Love of the Divine Tree ended, and its also Tiffany Tang's first Xianxia dramas in over 10 years since Xuan Yuan Sword and Chinese Paladin 3. She had only been doing historical or contemporary ones. I'm glad shes back and still look stunning as a goddess. Although some people think a younger actress should play her role but imo she fit the mature yet pure, straightforward and brave goddess perfectly.
omg its not just me who finds the ml too stoic, like sir where are the expressions-
Lol like I've seen this actor back in Mr. Honesty to Desire Catcher to Legend of Shen Li and his expressions rarely changes. The only facial expression I can remember he have in my mind is that stoic face and the one when hes extremely concern or in panic mode (even that is still lacking fyi). He can't show anything in between nor very good with subtle facial or eye expressions when portraying other emotions.
There's absolutely no way that would have worked. If it had been possible, Hanyan, of all people, would have done…
They could help secretly switch her out with someone else or fake her death like what they did with Chai Jing, just saying. I think that couldve help free her from the grudges too and be with Mr. Yuwen far away somewhere secluded. Better than dying at the hands of that crazy maniac
FL messed up big time by not letting the whole family get executed. When her mother ousts her father, she mightve been able to help her mother get away at least since she confessed. Now the crazy father and everyone on the 2nd concubine family that she saved are out for her blood.
The only thing I like so far is the mother-daughter bond but even thats gone now. ML constant stoic face is so not helping the excitement if we are to expect more romance between the two. How the revenge will play out to the end is also pretty predictable from this point on...
I just came to a realization that this drama was adapted from webtoon by the same name Sijin which I've read before in the past... lol took me so long to connect the two because they change almost everything in the drama after like the first 6-7 episodes. Plotwise and character wise, I much prefer reading the webtoon. For example, I like the emperor in the book, he was much more likeable and humorous not to mention very wise than how they depict him in the drama. I cant even relate the main couple to the one in the webtoon because personally I don't think the actor and actress fit the characters.
Although I can't exactly blame the production since the webtoon itself has over 300 chapters currently still ongoing. They try to change and condense all the material they can into 40 episodes here but unfortunately this is a flunk for me.
Srsly, one thought I have after finishing this drama finale is since Jiu Si's uncle knew Luo Zi Shang was his son, why couldn't he confess this sooner to LZS like during the 3 years they were partnering up? Honestly if he had told LZS his revenge on Gu jia and everything was all a big misunderstanding, a lot of death including Zhou family could've been avoided and maybe he might've been able to redeem himself somehow. They could have more father-son bonding moment even. He just had to wait til the point where he have to stab his own son before confessing. sigh That sure didn't make very much sense to me. Their last scene was very good though, as we get to see LZS vulnerable side, and you can tell all he wanted all along was just family and love.
Watching this again, I really truly appreciate the mature and beautiful friendships between all the women in this show. No backstabbing, no ugly fights, just women sharing hardship and helping each other during difficult times. No matter how much the men schemes against each other, the women never let that get in the way and still have each other backs is just gold.
Everytime I finish a Li Landi's drama I end up lingering after it for a long while. Wish there were more episodes but even if there were more I would still have a hard time letting go. Waiting to finish up Si Jin. Not in the mood for Ski into Love yet. Don't know what to watch now
I realize, I have watched many of Dai Gao Zheng short series and this actor sure love showing off his amazing six packs on screen. lol just saying, not complaining
Thankfully around TSL time, she started having the option to pick her own scripts (unlike back when Tangren/her…
Even with DBtQD, i think she did a great job despite criticism about her looks there. Although I think it is partly due to the hairstylist doing a lousy job not her fault.
The fact that she decide to risk it and star in this drama about true beauty now makes it comes full circle so its quite inspirational.
Coroner's Diary should be next right? I hope it airs this year too.

Will finish this once all episodes come out
