I think some actors are too skinny. There are the lip people and the stick people. Some of the male actors are too slight in their build for the roles they are playing. There was one actress she was so skinny and she running it looked awful and like she had no energy to run even for a few minutes. (was not part of plot.) Happy Drama Watching.♥

Niao Niao is undisciplined child. She was taught nothing on purpose by her aunt to annoy her mother. She is a young girl and is watching her elders. After all the Drama Queens can you blame her. Lots of character growth already. Survival is all she is about now but her true character is coming to the surface. ♥

I have empathy for the mom. She had to harden herself to leave her child behind. It is a dilemma for her. Guilt is playing a big role here. The script writer nailed it. Psychologically it damaged her thinking. She was very hard on herself and therefore she is hard on the daughter. Hopefully she can overcome her dilemma and just unconditionally love her daughter. Time will tell.♥

As a mother I can totally understand her dilemma. The hardening off of your mother instincts as to deny your own child put her in a dilemma. She has to open up and look at her feelings. It's hard to explain. Lots of mothers go through this some can bounce back others remain hardened and in denial. I'm not sticking up for her but the writer nailed it. I see it from both sides and can understand and feel empathy for the mother in this case. Hopefully she will come around only the writer knows. ♥

I love Ling Bu Yi how he is intrigued with Shao Shang even from the pointing finger episode. He noticed her on the balcony during his visit to her home and had a knowing smile. He just knows she could be the one. When he saw her at the lantern festival he knew. Love at first sight as he said earlier. He gets a knowing smile and his buddies are noticing. ♥
I hate CSS’s mom the most. Showing partiality that’s not even her biological child infront of her own daughter.
My point is she has a break in her thinking because she had to harden herself to leave her daughter behind. By doing this she, in her mind, is still rejecting her out of her own guilt. Then when she came back and saw what had happened she could not accept her own child as she had in her mind thought everything was okay. It wasn't. Guilt, guilt and more guilt. << she has to break through her thinking towards acceptance. ♥
EP 5-6 Very insightful script. The Mother is, in her mind, still distancing herself from her child. She feels guilty about leaving her. The mother had to harden herself towards the girl child in order to carry on. Mom is having trouble breaking her resolve to reject her. She doesn't realize this is what is going on between them. Thank heaven there are people around to see this and step in at this point. Our young lady, Shao Shang, finally met her future. ♥

How can we see character growth with out understanding the character? This is FL story and why she is the way she is. ML is secondary to her at this point as he doesn't even know her but for her help with his case. Really, she did a good thing by ridding her family of the leeches who were hanging on and bringing them down. Kudos to mother for removing sister in law. Mother got her revenge. We can see why cousin was raised away from her mother. ♥
