Ning's speech about not using Ruyi as a honey pot to the Marquis said it all. He totally respects her. It's her choice. Her dressing down the Marquis actually calmed things down a bit. "unpure thoughts". Ning admitted he was somewhat jealous but knows in his heart she respects him too. Peace♥

Me too, especially when I know/heard his back story. He is amazing. He has fighting spirit to achieve his goals and dreams. Peace♥

They have the ugly syndrome. Ugly is as ugly does. They think others are ugly therefore themselves being ugly for that thought. All beings are beautiful. ♥

Each episode has an arc in it. I really appreciate this script for that. Lots of dramas don't have this. Character building or something happens to move the story forward. I don't find it draggy at all. Peace♥

Like I said Ruyi is the Marquis's weakness. I liked that she dressed him down and told him he had un pure thoughts towards his shifu. That calmed him down a bit, got through his insanity. He now realizes she is not his at all and that she loves someone else (not him). Don't push him too far or he will take it out on everyone. He wants what Ning has but doesn't know how get it. He is still obsessed but thankfully he couldn't bear to see Ruyi so sad and gave the medicine. (Thank heavens) I cried at that scene. The crew continues on intact. Peace♥

I would say 100,000 in gold and 1 prince is a hefty price to pay to get the emperor back. Ruyi could not say she knew the Marquis. He totally lost control of himself. She is now his weakness. Marquis thinks he can control her. If she showed any weakness the whole crew would have gone down. She knows this. They can take the gold and run and not release the Emperor. They can take the gold and the prince and not release the Emperor. Fine line to walk. Their mission is to get their own Emperor back. The pushy An people are lording it over the mission. Ruyi did not know that the Marquis was her former pupil otherwise she would have done something different. No one knew that Ruyi knew the Marquis. Everyone was surprised. Like I said she now is the Marquis's weak point. She will use it to her advantage and to the crews advantage. (How dare he behave in that way, lost composure both times he saw her. Bad form) Like the Marquis said he gave away her cover. << he knows he was wrong. Still he is obsessed. Peace♥
