As an audience member, I both love and dislike Xihe. On one hand, I commend her for sticking to her values and her goals and maintaining her coldness towards everyone equally, whether its a half-sibling, ex lover, or current ally. She's ruthless, decisive, and icy. She burnt everything related to her past in front of her ex, she threatened to reveal Young Master Bu when they first met, threw her past life sister off a cliff, and she cruelly continuously breaks the Crown Prince's heart knowingly. And I loved it all. But, on the other side, seeing how she's trying so hard to not make a mistake and not let love get in the way, I also feel sad. She obviously enjoys his company - she missed him when he stayed away, she slept next to him to warm him up. It's clear that she's catching feels. And even after finding out that he is who he is, she honestly, probably highly respects him even if she chooses not to be with him because he isn't a pawn that she can control. There's almost 0 reasons for her to not choose him except for the biggest one, she can't read him and he was the only one that had fooled her out of all of the princes and for that reason alone, her brain tells her no, this won't work. Hopefully, her heart frozen in ice will continue thawing as he doesn't give up and keep trying.
mark, come get your man next week!! 🤣 he's out here potentially being a homewrecked lol
the flirting in this show is cute LOL its so straight forward and the way Kanit also likes it and sometimes reciprocate is lovely to see from an adult romance.
TayNew are such a comfort pair to see together. love it!
episode 1 was okay. I haven't seen other BoatOat series, and tbh i dont think they were terrible but some of the scenes with other actors felt super stiff. like..... noticeably and distractingly so. otherwise, excited to see where this goes. enjoying the omegaverse since we dont get tons of BL focused on that. looking forward to the next episode.
I dont know why but I really loved the moment around the 54 minute mark. Barth was frustrated and from that said a lot of things. but just a simple quiet question from Tanrak and he realized he was out of line. he knows how important it is to Tanrak even if he himself doesnt believe. he recognized his words and apologized so quickly. honestly, the communication in this show has been outstanding. the body language and the verbal communication between Tanrak and Barth showcases both their love for each other and how healthy communication should look like even when there are obstacles in the way. yes, Tanrak shuts down and becomes avoidant but push comes to shove with Barth initiating, he generally responds back openly and clearly. I kind of love this. lol maybe I need more short series where theres no room for silly misunderstandings or contrived issues. jk but TTH is certainly making its way on my top 5 BLs. dare I say maybe even top 3 🫣
Lol came to read comments after watching episode 5 and im actually confused about what's wrong with Kanit. 🤣 I didn't scroll far enough to actually get why people are dragging Kanit but all I got to say is that I thoroughly enjoyed episode 5.
Toto has been continuously flirting with Kanit. and while yes, he's been saying very nice things to him and comforting him while he's down; he's also been kinda flirting with him with other more suggestive talking too. so, its been sweet and dirty. so, in a way, it wouldnt be far-fetched for Kanit to not really know how serious he is or if he just wanted to sleep with him. lol And Kanit has repeatedly said that he didn't want to date yet and that he's still hurt. So, what happened at the end of episode 5 is honestly very real and can and probably will get messy. you have someone that just had a bad breakup where he was cheated on and felt like it was because he wasn't enough. and you have the other person that witnessed everything and is trying to help him through it. it's definitely gonna take time for this to work out because jumping from one relationship to the next is usually not a good thing. especially when he really hasn't had time to swallow it, digest it, and sh*t it out before he started a new meal - or maybe an extra large dessert that might not sit too well at first.
overall, I've been enjoying the nonsensical romcom. the other couple though.... not really feeling it. sorry 🫣
I kinda love it when actors from other agencies are cast haha having Boss and Boun here was a delight. hope agencies do this more and maybe they'll be surprise casts for season 2!
wow typos galore and I can't seem to edit the comment ☠️
im aware! but once in awhile the app malfunctions on me and only gives me a reply or report button. no edit. doesnt happen all the time, but just so happens, it happened for this comment. I could probably edit it on the website but.... laziness is calling me 🤣🫣
Honestly, while I get that Tianyang isn't the brightest bulb ink the room or anywhere, but i appreciate that they at least made him kind hearted. too often we always see half siblings and children pitted against each other by here, though he did feel inferior to his brother, he never truly meant him any harm. he sent him off with money and tried to make his journey comfortable (and even Qin Cang didn't truly harbor any resentment towards him. towards the dad, yes, because it's was the difference in how he treated them that caused the rift). and even for the evil his father committed he really was uhm.... naive enough to think that everything will be okay. he really does live a sheltered life, but at least he was kind (slightly bitter) and not like some of the other characters that grew up in a sheltered environment yet still was always jealous and scheming.
wait, finished 6. so, I Do and that new assassin guy was technically on the same team. Tae Jeong was a bystander that I think stands with I Do at this point. at least if Dong Hwa had something to do with his father's death and how he literally just saw him shoot another person, preeeeetty sure his choice of team to choose falls to I Do's side who actually hasn't really harmed anyone LMAO and then Dong Hwa and Chul Jin are a team? lol
I so agree with you! I knew something bad was going to happen when our dude was dancing in the rain all happy…
haha thats the thing with Chinese dramas. I feel like they get announced. we have no clue when it'll drop. it drops suddenly and then its over much quicker than Korean dramas because they usually drop episodes daily instead of weekly. and dont get me wrong, I loooove that they drop it daily. for a binger like me, k dramas are torture so I normally wait until most of it is out before I start.
haha I also like han puppy. I wished he had a bigger role or maybe thats what is coming up since his brother was also introduced. he feels a bit wasted but I guess its also cause he made such a big impact in pursuit of jade earlier this year that now he feels tooooo side character lolol
LMAO the villain monologue strikes again. I love and always laugh when the villains has to reveal their entire reasoning behind what they do instead of just trying to off the other person. i mean, in this case, had she tried, she still would've failed since Ye Li brought a whole entourage from the prison with her but still, makes me chuckle a little.
I think, at this point, we're all just waiting for the reveal of how everyone on Li mountain except Ye Li died. im suspecting that when it all went down, her seniors locked her away to protect her which means they all perished and maybe her maid tried to go get help at one point and died. but i cant imagine spending all those years by yourself literally just cleaning up all the dead bodies and then pretending that everything is fine and all is normal when you leave and have to talk to real people. no wonder she cant tell if Qing shuang is real or not. shes probably talked to her like that for so long that theres no reason to doubt her existence because she was all she had at that time.
I am sad that the Cangbei princess died but I feel like the writings were definitely on the walls. her liking feng and them about to meet as actual potential lovers defintely signaled someone was about to die because we cant have the foreign princess marry some commoner. jk. but yeah, it was kind of foretold that they weren't gonna end up together even though I so hoped they would.
about 13 episodes left and I feel like the pacing of this drama has been pretty good so far, so hopefully they keep that up.
I'm loving this show! The main characters aren't weak and have their own reasons and strategies. The villain in this case, I can't really tell who it is. It feels like they want the Marquis to be the bad guy, but surely he's not powerful enough to be the big bad. So, even though the Empress seems to be straddling this neutral line, I assume she'll be the final bad guy?
I can't wait for the reveal of what happened in the mountain that caused everyone's death and I'm glad that now her senior knows. I'm sure, for her, it was a lot to bear. being the only person to know that everyone on that mountain has passed away yet she couldn't tell anyone in order to keep the facade that everything is okay in order to exact her revenge plan. even fooling herself. 😭
and wait, does that dude actually care for his half brother? him actually trying to warn him that someone's trying to kill him surprised me lol
rewatching it so jumped my rating up to a 8.5 haha if I like it enough to go back and watch it, then it goes from my normal 8 to 8.5. there are really sweet moments even though I like the show more for JuniorMark than OhmPoon.
