The directing in this drama could be better. Like it has a good premise with great actors but I feel like it falls short. Similar to the first episode showcasing Cha Joo Eun's back story, Episode 3 was Lee Jwong Hwan's back story or part of it. Thats great, we need the back story, but it just felt almost out of place or shoved in our face. I wished they interweaved it in better but I guess it is what it is. Definitely knew he wasn't dead, so end of episode 4 wasn't anything surprising. At this point, it seems like its going to be a Jeong Hwan X Joo Eun X Bok Gi VS Edward Kim?
I couldn't even get halfway through the first ep of Private Lives. I'm wondering if I should just give it another…
Yeah, I kept hitting the FF button for the first episode of Private Lives. The 2nd episode was much more interesting with the introduction of the ML. They just didn't set up the initial plot for the FL well enough. Like, I'm sure we were supposed to sympathize for her but that didn't really kick in just a bit at the end of Episode 2.
Lol both this and Private Lives didn't get me during the pilot episode but the 2nd episode reeled me in. Looking forward to both! Now, into Tales of the Nine Tailed haha
We all know she's not going to end up with the second lead, if she does, that's gonna be a shock and the first time I see it happening. But I hope that Lee Soo does something to make up for how he's treated her these past few years. It's one thing to not accept her feelings but another to continue treating her as a friend - and let's be real, he treats her as more than a friend when you've already rejected her twice. And I don't think he ever gave her a reason why? I think he just says I don't like you, but lol that's obviously not true based on his actions.
I knew he was too conveniently there to be an honest person. The alleyway kiss, approaching her and her friend at the bar, no communication for awhile to reel her in then he shows up again with flowers, and lastly, the bomb drop of the parents dinner. All of it was so suspicious to me, but we're all blind in the face of love so I can't really blame her for not noticing. I wonder if her mom figured it out though when she was at the wedding reception. It felt like she sensed something before she got up and left. Overall, I'm glad that this was the second episode, it made up for the 1st episode and more so. And lmaoooo, now that we know they're both liars, maybe there's a chance they may end up together? Too hopeful of me? Lol they just have such amazing chemistry together!! I mean, their 2nd episode kiss with minimal remained build up beats most main couple 8th episode kiss \•3•/
Not sure why people like to compare the 2 couples and bring down the main couple because they're more serious. I mean, the characters themselves have said how envious they are of their younger siblings in this aspect. They have responsibilities and they shoulder those with seriousness and integrity and I see nothing wrong with that. I enjoy watching both couples since they offer different things to the show and I like that. My only qualm is how the main FL continuously rejects the ML when we all know she likes him too. I get it. She probably doesn't want to bring shame on the family if rumors start especially since her sister is the current Empress, among other obstacles. However, I think just expressing her interest would be fair. Enjoying the show for what it is! I still find Wang Zhuo Cheng to have the funniest expressions sometimes. But his smile is really bright and really makes others smile too, or maybe just me. Lol
I haven't watched it but am interested. I've seen quite a few comments saying it's strange and quirky but good. So why the 7.7 rating? What's wrong with it?
LOL.... I just saw that this is airing now. Chinese dramas are like little surprises to me. I never know when they air, but when they do, we get like the first 6-8 episodes lol. Can't wait to watch it after I finish the current Love Is Sweet episode haha
I honestly believe that the ML also likes her as "More Than Friends." It's pretty damn obvious and he's just oblivious to it either because of past trauma he received from his parents or he's unconsciously afraid that if they do get together, he would lose her forever if anything goes wrong. But either way, it's pretty aholey to reject her not once, but twice and still have the audacity to ask to remain friends. I can't tell if he's just socially inept and doesn't understand human emotions or if he's just being selfish and being the type of human he described - putting his feelings first (aka not wanting to get hurt and losing a 'friend'.) I love Kim Dong Jun but how old are they all supposed to be right now (28?). Kim Dong Jun just looks SO YOUNG as a CEO. Lol handsome CEO, but just strikingly young looking. I don't mind her ending up with either of these guys since behind his narccistic, cold front, the ML cares for her in his weird way and they've showed us. When she's bullied and such. And also, we've seen it many times when a guy gets angry at a girl when she gets injured it more on the guy being hurt and venting since he wasn't able to protect the girl he likes or because of him she was physically injured. Lastly, I hope nothing goes wrong with the childhood sweethearts that are part of their friend circle. They seem so sweet together ever since high school. And LOL are they going to make the Prosecutor and PO's character a couple? Is everything going to be predictable or will they throw some variety and twists at us?
I think that was how it is though I cannot understand the last part why Yu Tian came in the motorbike. What was…
Tbh, I thought the doctor inserts were to hint that he was/is a potential pair with Karen. That's how I read that. The moment he showed up and they showed his ring as a part of the dying mother storyline i knew his wife had passed away already. Also, with him being a motorcyclist , I read that as him being Karen's type. But the ending scene was so confusing. Now Yutian is ok a motorcycle, is he back to be with Karen? I can't imagine him and Yi He, they're such good friends. And nothing hinted at her not having a happy end with Shopkeeper Chen so.... overall, it was a nice series, but unless there's a season 2, the ending could tie up the last couple as well.
The vibe of this is like a food/memory/travel vlog with CTH and LSG with their guests browsing city highlights and playing mini games for food. It's not incredibly active but when the chemistry between the guests and hosts are great, you get some very hilarious and fun conversations. You also find some food gems and travel locations to add if you ever intend to travel to those cities.
I skipped some episodes but have enjoyed the ones I've watched. Excited that Han Hyo Joo was a guest since I feel like it's been forever when I've last seen her onscreen.
I honestly really love this movie. Watched it for the 2nd time today and was tearing up as the movie progressed through the scenes where she was suffering and when his mom told him about his father. That was all and well, but then Kim Joo Hyuk showed up and I started crying. I didn't even remember him being in the movie but it made me so sad that he's no longer with us. RIP.
