I knew there will be something to bring Haixia back but I still cried my eyes out during episode 10. The previews for 13 & 14 are also breaking my heart...
I think she's the only survivor and that's why monkeys attacked her... i think she lived lonely for quiet a long…
Someone is helping her and writing to her - so she is not the only survivor, but maybe the other survivors are among the folks that left the mountain earlier - like the shop steward. But she started imagining the maid when she was still on the mountain so something must have happened to the rest of them.. The ML already started suspecting that she is not all there - I've seen a trailer for a future episode where he asks if she has a maid named (name of imaginary maid). Poor traumatized soul...
I must admit that this drama was mostly not for me. I was constantly oscillating between dropping it and obsessing about the next episode. The episodes often left be exhausted like I was being tortured together with the characters. And there were SO MANY CHARACTERS and they were TORTURED! While the actors were very good, the only character that elicited major emotional response was You Chi, the little weasel. ;_; The ending was not bad, but it left me oddly empty. I don't think I'll ever re-watch this drama again. It is not fair to compare, but most of these actors were in the Fangs of Fortune as well and I re-watched that drama several times. It always made me happy even with the open ending (taking the special episode into account). It'll take some time for the impressions to fully settle with VoS, mostly I am unhappy that I didn't like it more. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This drama is headache inducing - I lose interest one episode and then in the next they reel me in, then I lose interest, they reel me in and so on, and so on... I don't think I've ever watched drama that made me want to fall asleep and then dying to see the next episode. Is this what schizophrenia looks like?
Blossom is excellent, Vail of Shadows watchable so far, easy on the eyes, but I am not really enamored. Maybe it will grow on me like Fangs of Fortune did.
The poor accountant Haiyan was puling around provided a few (barely) humorous moments.
