In one of the episodes of Hello Saturday that Zhang Jingyi and Chen Zheyuan attended to promote Chasing Dreams, the production team mistakenly used actress Zhou Ye's photo instead of Zhang Jingyi's. Jingyi's team was not allowed to review the production beforehand, which is why this so-called "mistake" happened and caused a lot of buzz.

And Meng Fuyuan too... he completely ruined my equations. I genuinely thought I’d never find another fictional green flag character capable of making my heart shake THIS intensely, someone who isn’t just a green flag, but literally a whole green forest, or even an entire green planet. omfg the novel is absolutely amazing 😭 I’m only on chapter 38 right now, but literally every single chapter * like EVERY chapter * has me kicking the air and rolling around in my bed from excitement and feelings!! Even I didn’t expect myself to become this obsessed and insane over such a simple story at first, but when I imagine Li Xian and Jingyi playing the characters, I get even more excitedddd.

Meng Fuyuan’s love, yearning, and his total green-flag energy are honestly impossible to describe. And overall, as someone who usually isn’t even into reading novels, the story has been incredible for me! Seriously, don’t hesitate and just read it, you won’t regret it 🩵

I think that synopsis doesn’t do the whole story justice, and it’s basically just a spoiler. I hope they change it to a proper synopsis that reflects the story and its vibe without spoiling anything.

Until now, they haven't even said "I love you" to each other or anything, so I think we'll get their first kiss around episode 20 or something

It’s kind of a tradition that whenever the main genre of a kdrama is romance, they suddenly insert a random mysterious crime case in the middle just to make it “more thrilling,” supposedly.

I’m not completely sure, but I know that China changes stories that revolve around the death or suicide of the main character especially when the character dies and or is reincarnated and given a second chance to fix their life. Chinese censorship usually removes or alters the parts that involve death/suicide or reincarnation and shows them in a different way. I’ve heard that as these kinds of stories became more popular, the suicide rate was also rising, which is why they became stricter about it.

But in this series, there was no death of Wan Yin in the real world. Both of them had a normal life in reality and were trying to survive. So I don’t think there was anything that needed to be censored.
Another things that's the main characters didn’t need to “fix” their lives, and they didn’t even know each other outside the book, so there was nothing between them in real life that needed to be corrected inside the story. That’s probably why the censorship authorities didn’t have an issue with it cause they're completely strangers.

Also In both dramas 'Story of Kunning Palace' and 'The Double', the part that was censored was the death and the second chance given to the same character.

I think that if they killed Xiaohu Bo, they wouldn’t know what would happen after his death. Maybe the story would get out of their hands and they wouldn’t be able to predict the near future. Or maybe people who side with Xiaohu Bo would plan a military coup and kill Xiaohu Dan. So I think they can’t risk everything just to carry out their plans quickly. By killing Xiaohu Bo, everything would get messed up because of his huge connections with everyone in the palace and the military.

I really liked the way the story unfolded. At the beginning, I honestly didn’t understand anything, but the timeline shifts made it really interesting.
and So many precious lives were lost in the name of ridiculous ideologies.

I’m on episode 8, and the cases in these episodes remind me of Epstein Island... Wealthy people (especially men), no matter where they are in the world, seem to feel the need to satisfy their hunger for power by hurting women. I deeply understand Li pei yi’s feelings. It’s heartbreaking that they get to continue living their normal lives while the victims have lost their precious lives.
