I lucked onto this by chance when I found it showing on the Canadian channel Omni. Much nicer on a big tv screen! Did not need to turn lights on in the den as Zhang ZeHan’s smile lit the place up. So far, this drama borders on camp its hilarity that frequent. The ML, well let’s just say the narcissism tag was written with him in mind. This is going to be a fun ride! One thing that stands out - everyone is attractive in this drama. And they have to be...
Last episode pointed to something essential that Miss Cho talked about. That regardless of how low the compatibility score was for her and her man the computer could not account for things like how he made her smile. Fei was listening because she went directly to her computer to determine the compatibility score between her and her pal. 29% popped up. She was disappointed. But I think Miss Cho’s words were still swirling in her head about things you cannot measure.
I'm still not understanding why and how Yan Fei is still hung up over her ex-husband, like he is straight 🗑️…
There are no spoilers in your text only speculation, so no need for the spoiler box. Yan Fei is not hung up on her ex. She told him she was not interested in him in the bar scene, Her mom always really liked her husband and does not know the details of the split. They did truly love each other, but hubby was not prepared for who his wife became a few years into the mariage. Which might have been partially due to an anxiety disorder. I think Yan Fei is more in love with the idea of being married than actually married. Now she will have some serious thinking to do.
I came here for the doctor and the guard and not the leads so I am really satisfied thus far. Long Teeth, the Warlock, and the beyond cute third couple all sweet bonuses. As for the first leads, try as I might I cannot see or feel any chemistry between the two because the lady doth protest too much. Perhaps that may change...
Hey there! If you’re here to watch the series because of bl part, these are my advices; - just watch episode…
The main storyline follows the relationship of the leads who have known each other forever, or longer. Both have ex-partners: one left on a plane the other arrived on one. So two instant triangles! There are a few second lead couples: One matched up by the agency, one of their’s elderly parents. The ML’s bro and wife. They’re everywhere. Now Company assistant Ou Wen (shame we just can’t call him Owen...) has a confusing relationship with hair wizard Mark who is equally confused. These second leads are circling each other, but unlikely to be creating a bridal gift registry anytime soon! Mark has to make a decision which side of the fence he wants to sit on. Jealously (ok and a cocktail or two) are likely to fast-forward that process. This is not a BL drama per se but an attempt to be inclusive. Can I get an Amen?! It does not need to be either or, just a realistic reflection of all of us critters out there. Now to be fair, everyone is not in this just for them. Personally I’m rooting for Miss Cho and I want to see whose ‘drawers’ Joanna rifles through next! ? And how low will the Hotel Hunk go to win the competition? What’s love got to do with it? I am really curious about the back story involving the other assistant’s being rejected by her crush. Speaking of crush, right? And most of all, I want to see the younger version of the ML (what a cutie, eh?) get the girl to melt but not his ice cream cone!
Ok everybody?? breathe! Depending on which streaming service you checked, including the many variations of Dramacool (some less safe than others, so pay attention that you have the right one.) although they indicated ep. 11 was available, you either accessed repeats of ep 1 or 10. Everybody with me so far? Episode 11 is not in the can yet and won’t air until June 13th. With any luck, the subs for 10 might surface prior to that. These interruptions are due to Covid 19 precautions. Everyone in the cast etc. must remain safe and healthy.
I see most of you are back to torture yourselves over a drama (fiction) you loathe. Revenge is not on the menu. This is just not that type of drama. The writer is examining the dynamics of infidelity at different life stages. Couples do work through it. Some are not willing to throw the baby out with the bathwater! The older you get, the more invested you are. (I bet at least one couple remains together. Can you imagine if all three were to do so?) Life is full of grey areas. And people don’t always get what they deserve, be it a break, good fortune or their comeuppance. The best revenge is always to live well.
Ah yes, the second lead syndrome is a common trope in Asian dramas. But not all second leads are created equal. Often they are foils to the male lead, serving to expose their frailties. But sometimes they are indeed the better choice. A fella with a sense of humour will make me weak at the knees before the handsome, sexy thing with more daring ‘do than he knows what to do with! Frankly, the love interest ought not to be akin to IKEA furniture! He needs to come readily assembled! Or maybe I see the value of being the beloved over the lover in the partnership. Now don’t be thinking me lazy! It makes the reciprocation of feelings so much easier with the darling who lays his cards on the table over the sweetie with an ace up his sleeve! And speaking of sleeves, you always know where the second lead’s heart is! When demons descend, brothers betray or concubines compete, I will fare better, flanked by laughter, love and loyalty than by looks, lasciviousness and longing. But that’s just me. And I can deflect arrows just fine thank you!
