It litterally gave us a sensible breakup for such a young couple with actual COMMUNICATION and the most realistic way in which people go back together (and COMMUNICATE about what went wrong before) and how some move on with life but their heart never does.
Their going back reminded me of some meetings in my own life that I should never have had and the meeting of Reply 1997 of the main leads after 6 years. I will never forget those iconic words in his thoughts when he saw her again:
"Because of you I avoided reunions and visit your parents the day before you would come. On holidays, I lie about having enteritis or eye infection. I've made all stupid excuses for past six years. But you're made all my efforts go powerless at once. Si-won Sung, you bitch. But hey, healthy couple who communicate are known to be boring at times. After I saw some viewer's reaction of the main couple of Run On, I get it, healthy might look boring.

I started this somewhere in episode 2 cause I was like "yeah whatever will this even be" but oh were it was exactly what it said it was: cute and funny and had a surprisingly nice balance between maturity and immaturity so here I am. But would I have watched it for 16 episodes and wasted hours per day commenting if I didn't enjoy it? Hell no. Why anybody else would is my question

I wonder what people were thinking when they started the drama to comment later that this was predictable. Like literally what were you thinking this was? Misaeng? Stranger? Voice? Why would you even start a high school drama with the 18 years old "ugly" girl with makeup and 2 hot boys in love with her to begin with expecting the twists of idk..Penthouse let's say?
If you have watched enough k-dramas you would know that this drama was literally parody of many typical k-drama plots and has cliche plastered in it's poster. It was made to be laughed about and it was almost a satire of its own genre.

I just just the episode before the one you are mentioning about the marriage and I am whipped over all that intelligenceeee I heard he was smart but actually seeing his sexy brain in action was really nice. I was also whipped for Yoon So Hee and the Peppertones boys trio, honestly so damn smart, wow (and they reminded me of Hospital Playlist xx)

I think people are used to see teenagers who are adults in name only like in dramas like Start Up where the target audience is younger even when depicting people in mid 20s to 30s, so they are not used to see how truly mature some people of that age group are. Run On literally portrays how people of this age group behave currently both in Korea and abroad so possibly some people who are used to immature characters were taken off guard

I agree at this point very much. If both fell in love with the girl unaware of the other best friend's feeling like the Reply 1988, that was one thing and THAT is heartbreaking. I didnt get SLS in Reply 1988 because they didn't focus on the romance, it was about soooo much more so I simply didn't know who the end game was and didn't care about it. I think the biggest fault of this drama is that they didn't get SJ out of the triangle till the end as if he was a choice when he wasn't, at all. SH is literally unfazed when SJ says he and JK are dating. It was such an impossibility for both SH and SJ because their friendship came first in the end. This is not even any category of triangle. If this was a traingle I would be in a love triangle with every man that liked me in the past 6 years while I was with my bf
