The leads chemistry is there but it is not very strong in my opinion. it just an okay drama for me. i have watched Dance of the phoenix till ep 24 now and its just a filler drama for me. I have to finish it bcause im on ep 24 and 6 more episode to go!

Try Love and Redemption, it is a new release and has similar feel to ashes of love. It also has mortal/heavenly realm and monsters

Yea, i cried at ep 1, seeing Ling Xiao suffering alone while her parents shouting at each other.. Gosh.. I cant even imagine a little child going through that all alone. Thank god he has Jian Jian

I hold it two months ago on episode 3 because im so bored, but few weeks ago i started it again, and im hooked from episode 3 onwards bcause it caught my attention. I think it is a slow burn drama, the more patient you are it will become more interesting

I know right! When i saw him on interview i feel like he's really Shang Xi Rui and not Andrew Yin! His personality and the way he talk is just like in the drama xD love it.

Such a beautiful show. Im so happy i'm one of those lucky people who discovered this drama and watch it. This show is literally a gem, i love everything about it, the costume, the chinese opera, the setting, the atmosphere, the ambiance, everything. What i love the most is Shang Xi Rui's character. His personality is so unique and his character is my top number 1 favorite in the entire chinese drama that i've watched. He's just so true to himself, so brave and he can even make sacrifice for the people he loves. This show has been on my mind after i finished it! I cannot move on :( guess i wont be able to move on for a while now.

Idk if its just bromance, but the way Prince Jing and Mei Chang Su look at each other is just like they have this 'feeling' toward each other hehe. My fujoshi heart cant take it xD
