RED FLAG

First half was okay. Second Half, I honestly don't know what happened.

Not the biggest fan of Go Ara's acting. I honestly watched this because of Lee Jaewook and I needed a light drama to watch. At first, I was really hooked into the drama. I kept on looking forward to the next episode but some where, some how, it started making me lose interest.

The biggest disappointment here is actually the ending, the last few minutes of it to be exact. Like, who the heck pretends to be dead for 5 years? making all his loved ones suffer and grieve. That right there is a HUGE red flag. It's just mental plain mental torture.

I must admit, the beginning was really cute and entertaining but as the show went on the plot started getting sloppier and sloppier.

GIRL POWER FTW!!!!!!

Okay. I'll start with the things that I liked about this drama.

One of the main reason why I watched this drama is because of Lee Dahee! and OMG! she did not disappoint.

I really liked how they portrayed a corporate world that is not over powered by men. I liked how they showed diversity by showing two different styles the businesses can use to approach their brand. I know this is just a drama but heck some of the ideas showed here can really be used for marketing IRL. Love those creative juices.

Also, main thing I really liked was the sisterhood of the three female leads. Their friendship/relationship may not be the smoothest one out there but hey they did make it work eventually. AND most importantly, they have respect for each other.

Now, let's go to the three main couples of the drama.

Cha Hyun x Seol Jiwan - OMG my fave couple here!!! This couple doesn't need any explanation. They were just plain adorable <3

Song Gagyeong x Oh Jinu - They are my second fave couple in this drama mainly because they did learn to love each other. They just weren't sure on how to show it. Also, Jinu my goodness I love how he pays attention to his wife no matter what. He is so attentive!!!! It's just so pitiful how they were stuck between the issues of their families. But I was hoping they would eventually get back together. For real this time.

Tami x Morgan - okay. I love love love Jang Kiyong. But this one is not really for me. I noticed myself eagerly waiting for the airtime of other couples whenever I see these two on the screen.

There was really something I didn't like with how Tami and Morgan were talking I guess??? They kept on talking in a monotonous voice that makes everything they say so scripted or unimpactful?? not sure, maybe it's just me.

Lastly, despite the story being good. The thing that really bothered me when I started watching was how some parts of the script were written. At some times, it was just too cringey. AND when partnered with a bad camera angle? it was just too much.

I seriously cringed at some parts. The cameraman or the director sure loved tight shots/ close ups. I know the actors are good looking but sometimes when they talk, I want to see their body language as well. Or Sometimes I just really wanted to see their outfits. But NOPE. You just had to make their face occupy like 80% of the screen.

Anyway, learned a lot. The drama was cute. Did not regret watching. PLUS I was surprised to see Lee Jae Wook. Loved him also :)

Same old story with a new twist

This is like the fourth out of five adaptation that I have watched and so dar I would say it's in my top three. I don't know why but I really really love watching the same drama from different adaptations.

Ever since I hear that China was doing a remake of this classic drama, I was really happy but then I got into a full korean mode that I didn't bother watching dramas from other countries. But I'm really happy that when I got my mood back for a chinese drama this was my top choice. I love how they somewhat modernize the story.

I also love that since this classic drama has been made into different adaptations throughout the years, they changed the story a bit. For someone who has watched different versions of this drama over and over again, it's really nice to see that I'm still looking forward to what will happen in the next episode.

However, one thing that I've noticed is that one of the most important scenes in the whole drama was the "tragic car accident" however, in this version I felt like it was a bit anticlimactic. It didn't have that raw emotion that I was looking for (I think the korean version really nailed this part). Maybe I got my expectations really high but I was looking for a bit more emotion.

I really liked this drama but I think after the accident part it gradually went downhill. I wished to see more of Dylan and Elaine's story in Hungary. I also hoped that they would've banked on this to make Xiyi more jealous. I don't know maybe it's just me.

Also, I would've loved to see the a cute relationship between the ML and FL's mom. Just like the one in the korean version (ya know since he grew up without a mom). What I loved in this version is the aunt and the cousin were really nice to the FL. They were genuinely like a family.

Anyway, this version was not really bad. It was a cute one. A bit different from the others but nevertheless it was a good one. Not regretting watching it.

This drama has a unique concept which made me curious as to how the story will unfold. The casting was good, actors were great, the way it was directed could have been improved but it was okay. But somehow as the more episodes I’ve watched the more I felt like it was missing something. And by concentrating better, I realized that the script was a bit too average. No lines from the drama actually stood out for me and made me feel something.

I know I’m being a bit too technical on this but usually, we, as viewers take this for granted. We usually underestimate the weight of the words the characters say. It can almost always make or break a scene and this drama made me realize that.

Overall, it was cute. Some parts felt like it was dragging. Nothing really stood out. But the concept was great, wished they couldve executed it better.

Before, I wasn't really fond of Seo Hyun Jin. Mainly because of my first impression on her from Another Oh Hae Young. I found her character there whiny and annoying and that impression stayed with me even after watching her other dramas. However, I was surprised by her performance in this drama. All my prejudice about her vanished. She was outstanding, both her visuals and acting. Wow!

I liked the movie version of this drama, that's why I decided to watch this but my oh my, I LOVE the drama version more. So simple, so straightforward. Love everything about this show, from the cast to the OST to the story line. Love love everything.

Congrats to the whole team behind this!

I've heard a lot about this drama and that's one of the main reason why I watched it and wow oh wow! It took me by surprise!

I knew this drama is good based from what I've heard but I never really thought it would be THIS good. It exceeded my expections by 1000%. I'm really not the biggest fan of dramas about war or was set during that period but somehow I just found myself wanting to watch the episodes consecutively. I just can't seem to stop. And I really don't know what is the reason for this. I thought to myself, I wasn't a huge fan of anyone here, not really a huge fan of the main couple BUT something about this drama just makes me keep wanting to watch more.

would 100% recommend this drama to every one. The sexual tension between the FL and the three MLs are no joke, really did not know whom to ship her with since all the three guys are amazing in their own ways. During the initial episodes you can already tell that the three MLs are genuine. Really love their brotherhood. But what kept me from enjoying their mischievous acts in the beginning might be because I already foresaw that their ending won't be a happy one.

The last episode made me cry a lot. This drama might be a fiction but watching these types of films makes you realize what type of life our ancestors had. What sacrifices were made for us to live a life that we are living now. It gives you a deeper appreciation on the things that we have now. The last episode also made me realize that choices we make now, big or small, will somehow have an effect on us which is why always choose to be kind no matter what. This was shown in the beginning of the last episode. I literally had goosebumps when the people tried to protect Ae Shin. It was such a touching moment.

I really felt sad for the three male leads but I feel more for Kim Hui Seong and Go Dong Mae because I think they weren't given the recognition that they deserved.

This is me just rambling on because it has just been 10 minutes since I finished this drama and my thoughts are all over but bottomline is THIS IS A MASTERPIECE. IF YOU HAVEN't WATCHED IT YET PLEASE DO.

This drama easily became one of my favorites. I knew when I watched the first episode that this drama was something different.

This drama was really well rounded. Excellent actors, story, production, everything! It’s hard to find a flaw. Even the characters that are bad, you’ eventually get to know them and once you do it’s hard to really hate them completely (well except chief Jo, seagull, chief yeom, officer lee of woodshop, and the other gangsters lol but you know what I mean hehe)

I have watched all the dramas of PD Shin Wonho and I’d say that he is now one of my favorite PDs. He brings so much depth into the dramas he make without really giving in to the normal tropes of dramas these days. And just like his other works, the length of the episodes of this drama is around 1hr 20 min - 1hr 30min each, I do find it long but I’m not really one to complain since I love every second of it.

The only thing that really didn’t sit well with me is the ending they gave Looney/ Hanyang. I mean come on. Beside the fact that he is my fave character here, he showed so much growth and perseverance to change himself. His lover was waiting for him and I’m sure he would be happy to see his mom there. But why? Why did they have to give him that ending. It’s just sad. And after that, they didn’t even showed him anymore. I would assume he came to the same prison since they were driving him there when he got caught. And what’s up with the drug dealer from Japan? Why did he set him up? So many confusing things about him.

Also, Croney. What’s his ending like? And how long was he supposed to be there? Just really curious.

Hoped they showed Min chul watching his game also. That would’ve been nice.

But nevertheless, I give this drama 10/10. It now has a special place in my heart.

This drama caught me by surprise. I originally watched it because of Sunghoon and Shin Hyesun but I stayed because of the main couple. Really regretted why I only found out about this now.

I’m not usually the biggest fans of couples who already has kids but man did I love it here. Few things that annoyed my from time to time here are the mothers. Yes, we all want the best for our family but wow they were so intrusive. Secondly, not really the biggest fan of Hotae and Sunyeong. They were annoying. Also, who the heck gets pregnant at the start of the show and never showed signs of it after? Also, Incheol. No need to explain anythi ng.

I love the main leads here. Not your typical protagonists. They both have their strengths and individuality. Even though they love each other so much, they are not completely blinded by love. They still stood by their virtues and principles. The child actors were really excellent also. Im Soohyang was also outstanding, her character and her dad had the biggest character growth throughout the series. Love them all.

The parents of Jinju were really fun to watch. They are simple minded, straightforward, and really caring. It’s hard to hate them complete because we all know where they were coming from. They really didn’t know where to place themselves after everything that has happened and the only family they really do have is Sangtae’s family so it was nice to see that up until the end they were still included in the family. Love Mijeong for that.

Lastly, Sunghoon and Shin Hye Sun needs to have a drama of their own. They have great chemistry!!!

PS:
So Yujin looks like a crossover between Taeyeon and Kim Yujin (Eugene) lol. Love her voice also, when she speaks she can make you listen. Love her chemistry with Ahn Jaewook. ?

I don't know what is it with this drama that keeps on making me come back for it. It's so simple, so full of cliches but somehow it works. Well, at least for me it does.

There's something about dramas like this that starts off as a loveless/ one-sided love marriages then turns into this very blooming relationship that gets me. Love love love the chemistry between the FL and the ML also. I love how Sena is not your typical damsel in distress. Love the supporting cast as well.

I think the simplicity of this drama (+ the cast + the cliches) has won me over. In a sea of dramas with very complicated story line with a lot of twists and turns it's very refreshing to watch something like this.

The only thing I don't like about this drama is how hard it is to look for a complete copy :(

I watched this drama without reading or researching anything about it. If you're planning to watch this too, it's a good mix of different genres (romcom, melo, thriller, family)

I really really liked the rom com side of this drama. It was refreshing to see Kang Haneul as a lead in romcom. He portrayed his character perfectly. I laugh every time he has that "gaze" in his eyes, you know, that look he has when you know his game is on. I don't know much also about the sattori (dialects) in korean but it suited him very well. Love his subtle bromance as well with his chief and Noh Gyutae.

The casting was made perfectly. All the actors did an excellent job in playing their characters especially Kim Kanghoon who played Kang Pilgu. His acting was on point. Heck, even the younger version of Kwak Deoksun (mother of Yangshik) was really good, she took notice of the way how Ko Dushim (Older version of Deoksun) talks and her mannerisms. I was impressed.

However, a few things that really didn't sit well with me regarding this drama is the thriller side of it. Ever since the first episode, it was about finding out the true identity of Joker and why he killed people. However, the way they caught Heungshik who was the real Joker was so anti-climactic. I understand that they needed to show that Dongbaek is not someone weak, but they made it so comical that I really didn't understand how someone who can be caught that easily was able to hide for 6 whole years. I don't also understand why he decided to let Dongbaek go after everything he has done. I mean, it was the perfect set up. Yangshik, who was the only one suspecting him was not there, even if he killed Dongbaek right then and there in the bar he would be able to walk off and go in hiding as nobody else suspected him. That part I really didn't understand.

During the last episodes, after they caught Joker, it seemed like everything was back to normal. Like the world was on reset. I didn't see that much repercussions of the incidents that happened from the early episodes. Personally, I think no matter how strong of a person you are, once you've been targeted by a serial killer/ psychopath it will somehow have a huge impact on your life/ well being.

Lastly, I know this is still a romcom but the way everyone got their happy ending was so surreal. It somehow felt fake (well I know this is a drama but still) and that the writer was really really trying hard to act like cupid or a god and just close the books for everyone. The ending was too good to be true that it felt like it was forced. I personally think that this drama was too long and 16 episodes could've sufficed. Maybe, if it wasn't as long, maybe, just maybe, the ending could've been better.

But nevertheless, I'm not regretting that I watched the drama. It still is good. And it was refreshing to see a story about single moms. Single parents rock!

Okay. I started watching this drama without reading anything about it (well except the actors and director). Didn’t really know how the story will go or what. So half way thru the first episode I kept looking for answers to questions I have in mind - what’s the story? Who’s the main lead? Who’s the protagonist? Antagonist? What would be the main problem? Main love line? Etc. So when the first episode ended, I was quite surprised. I realized that I may have misinterpreted this drama. This drama is simply about the lives of five friends who happened to be doctors and are working in the same hospital.

Seeing that this was the plot (reminded me of reply series tbh), it made me feel refreshed. Initially I postponed watching it when it first aired because it will only air one episode per week and I cannot stress enough how I anxious I think I will be while waiting for the next episode. But I easily gave in, I started watching when episode 3 or 4 was out.

It’s not your typical medical drama where everyone keeps cockblocking the career of others for their own advantage. And where one episode is dedicated to just solely treating a patient.

I love the friendships of every one in this drama. Starting from the five main leads, the doctors in the hospital and of course, the “oldies” (the mothers and the chairman). They really complement each other. But of everyone my most favorite character would Ikjun. He’s just so funny and mature at the same time. A good father, a good friend, and I believe he is a good lover.

Love love love the OSTs as well!!! The voice of Jo Jungseok is really something!!! Daebak!!!

The ending was such a cliff hanger. Can’t wait for the next season!!! Hopefully it’ll be out next year. And really hoping that they will still be the leads for the next season.

I would say I liked the second season a little bit better than the first one.

Really really love the casting. I don't know why but every time I see Lee Sungkyung, I always imagine her perfect role as a rich snobbish girl or a doctor. Those roles really suit her. She and Ahn Hyo Seob have really good chemistry!!! However, I might say that the romance side of this drama was weaker than the first season. I was hoping it would've been highlighted a bit more.

The only thing I think was a problem for this season was they were trying to fit a lot of stories and plots into one season: The trauma of Cha Eun Jae, Back story of Seo Woojin, Park Gyumin's backstory, the illness of Master Kim, the evil plots of Chairman Do - to name a few. I think if they could've extended it to at least 2 more episodes almost everything, if not everything, would've been addressed better. The phasing was a bit too fast for the important parts. Especially the last episode, it seems like they just tried to put as much as they can to close the book.

Also, I wished they could've done more crossovers with the characters from the first season.

But still, really interesting and worth the watch!!!

I really had my hopes high for this one...

Love Alarm season really got me hyped up and after waiting for almost 2 years I really was expecting a bit more... I'm not sure if it was because I have set my expectations too high or what but I expected a bit more.

First thing first, at the end of S1 we saw the FL running towards the SH and the HK saw them then it ended at that. We didn't even know what happened next? Like hello writers, if you left us with a cliff hanger like that for 2 years I think we do deserve a some kind of closure???

Also, I never really understood why the FL had this urge to always lie. I know she was traumatized by her experience before but it really wasn't explained well why she thinks that people around her would always suffer? From what I saw, she was really being selfish. Her actions towards both the ML and SML were not really justified even at the end. It was really messy.

LASTLY HOW THE HELL DID CDG SURVIVE THAT FREAKING FALL??????? IF YOU LOOK BACK DURING S1, IT LOOKED LIKE HE FELL FROM THE 20TH-30TH FLOOR OF A BUILDING???? HOW THE HECK ARE YOU STILL ALIVE???? AND WHY DID HIS BROTHER ACT LIKE THAT???? I mean I know they had different views on things but was that really that important that you had to turn your back from your brother????

I wish the characters had more depth in them. There were only 3 characters overall whom I saw grew and developed over the epsidoes. Suho, Gul Mi's mom, and Suho's mom. Aside from that, after you know years they all pretty much stayed the same way they did during their highschool years.

Oh well... I guess time to move on to a different drama.

I found it to have a really slow at the start but then BOOOOOOM

Was looking for a different genre of drama to watch. you know, something like a breather. And SJK and JYB were the main casts so more the reason to watch.

The first few episodes, I was trying to grasp what's the main plot and for me, I found the first few episodes a little bit too slow in terms of phasing. So I started to question whether or not this was worth the 20 episodes. Because you know, even for some dramas, 16 eps is a bit too long if the plot was static.

But then after episode 3 everything started making sense for me. Bit by bit the story gets more and more dynamic and before I knew it I was hooked.

Vincenzo is not really a perfect drama, it has its loopholes. One of which is that, they keep branding the male protagonist as a "psycho" but they kept on portraying him as someone who is capable of emotions, which is really contradicting. But you know what, overall I'm willing to turn a blind eye on those small loopholes because the charms of this drama outweighs them.

The ending was really satisfying. It was literally brutal. But anything else would have been a dishonor to the "mafia" image that they kept on building up since the first episode. It was sad to see Jang Han Seo die but I think if they all lived in the end, it would've been too good to be true.

Anyway, I'm not sure if this drama will get a S2. If it does, I hope Netflix does a fine job on it.

Kudos to everyone!!!!!

To tell you the truth, I almost dropped this show somewhere in the beginning. I forgot which part but I did thought of that. BUT... I am so glad that I didn't. I'm glad that I finished the whole show and I have to say I really love it.

This show just gave me warmth. It was about friendship, love, family, and most importantly... accepting yourself.
The casting and acting were phenomenal. It was really outstanding. Script, music, everything was on point. It made me feel happy, it made me cry, it made me feel love, anxious... to cut the long story short, it was an emotional rollercoaster (but in a good way 😊)

Honestly, am finding it hard to put my emotions into words since I just finished the show less than 5 minutes ago but I loved it. BRAVO!!!!

PS: It was really nice to see Woobin and Mina in one scene ehehehehe I consider those small moments a bonus for me 😍
