Other than HJP, I am going to be missing the OST. I already have my favorites in my play list :) Really solid…
I have to thank you btw for not linking the MV versions where I would be tortured by seeing NDS and SDM being lovely dovey and cringe while listening to an awesome song.
youre all missing my point. nowhere have i talked about her mindset or the decisions shes made, i simply think…
In the real world, especially for a field like technology, people just don't fall into these positions. Companies like Google for example farm a lot of their talent from certain schools. It's rare for a company to just hire college dropouts for top positions.
What does happen in real world though is are two things, Nepotism and Favoritism. Especially in Asian countries, we see unqualified people enter high positions simply because of their familial connections or social closeness with managerial staffs. In fact some large corporations, not wanting rely solely on nepotism, have been sending their offspring to get highly educated to warrant them getting such high positions.
We are shown this when the son of Chairmon Won is clearly incompetent, but still is the CEO of a company. Clear sign of nepotism. Or when SDM got a high position in WIJ's company, another sign.
Another real thing that has been shown in the show is the biggest hindrance for an unqualified CEO is respect. When a CEO enters a business and does not bring any knowledge of the product she is leading, little experience in the aspects of a CEO, and seems very behind in the knowledge needed to succeed as a CEO, engineers, programmers, and overall smart people will start to disrespect the CEO.
The best example of this is the movie Moneyball. Nobody was respecting the Stanford graduate, because what does a Standford graduate know about baseball? It's the same in Start Up, what does SDM know about tech? Now this is not to say people who are unknowledgeable about the industry cannot be hired as CEO's. Many people do. A former CEO of Disney can apply to be the CEO of Miscrosoft, and vice versa. But these CEO's don't get these positions straight out of college, much less lacking a business degree. But the thing is SDM is lacking even the experience, a majority of her work experience has actually been part time retail work.
You see, SDM would have garnered more respect if she got to where she was the way WIJ did.
When WIJ formed her company, she hired people, and gave them shares. So from the beginning, she was in charge. So even if WIJ was a college dropout, people would not care, because she is leading the company. She is in charge of all the decision making.
SDM joined NDS company, so from the beginning, she had no real power. In fact, for a majority of the show, she was just playing CEO, rather than being. Her college dropout background just heightens the many things she doesn't know.
Although I agree that she is a quick learned, and has a lot of potential, those things are just not transferable. If she were to apply to another company as CEO, she would not get the job due to her lackluster resume. The only reason she is CEO is because she is WIJ sister and NDS love interest.
BUT, even though i've said all these, I think she was actually doing a decent job as a CEO, up until episode 7. From that point on it became the NDS show. The more competent, the more NDS character "grew", the more CEO SDM shrank. Untilt he point where she is a total mess pining for NDS. All this emotion makes her an unqualified CEO and a risk.
If I was WIJ, I would not make SDM a CEO, because she lets emotions override her business sense, and she lacks professionalism. Two things that reflect poorly on WIJ's company.
What a useless thing to nit pick .... NDS was their leader for 3 yeara in silicon valley .... so all three are…
They aren't joining Injae's company as engineers, they are partnering up, at least according to the show.
The semantics of the deal is never explained. Is it a merger? Is it contract work?
If they just applied to be employees, then yes you are right, but the show implies it's a partnership. Similar to how some business hire Accenture to take care of their business processes like HR, Accounting and etc... Accenture is still it's own separate business, with it's own CEO.
But like I said, it's not clearly explained what the partnership structure is.
Ugh, you just reminded me how little business this show talks about LOL!
If you have more NDS Stan friends, can you ask them to come and help out? Our efficiency rate is dropping, and with EP. 15 and 16 right around the corner, we will want to smooth out the efficiency curve before they air.
NDS was not upfront with the team and told them Alex original plan. And, he actually never tells them the truth, leading Yong San to feel it is all his fault.
You are doing God's work again today. For that I thank you. We are approximately 400 post away from 20k. And I feel our strong partnership will get us there.
I know I'm asking a lot of you, but do you think you can you pull a couple of all nighters and respond to more post? They don't even have to be logical, we're going for quantity, not quality here.

I'm guessing you think that friends who go in business are friends forever :) What a lovely thought... I suggest you watch a movie called "The Social Network", it will literally blow your mind...
NDS doesn't do it with the purpose of destroying SDM... But he put aside his logic in favor of his emotions, which form Saha's POV is a no-no in business...
The thing is if you look at the show as a HS drama full of teenage fluffy romance, then all of this is par on the course... But because this is suppose to be real life, at a mature age of 30's, dealing with real money and real investors, the decisions and situations which is cute in a HS drama, is completely idiotic and destructive in a supposedly mature setting...
We are not talking about them deciding on who the CEO of their knitting club is, or what crochet they should buy at the art store, we are talking about Billions of WON of real investor money...
As i've said a few times now, if SDM was actually a competent CEO like WIJ, this would not have happened... She allowed NDS to bring her to the clouds, which made her fall from the heavens even farther and more painful...
SDM's dad clearly shows in no uncertain ways, people who sail without a map dies. It's a literal manifestation of the quote. SDM's dad was a dreamer, and he lost all his money, and if not for Grandma Sandboxing him, he would have failed. He succeeded but all the hits he took along the way, cost him his life.
This actually is a real life example, experienced by SDM. And yet, she's going back to dreamer mode...
First off, Grandma's shop was worth more than a Mobile truck.
So basically Grandma sold her store, then downgraded to a truck? What purpose? So that SDM can work retail?
Same, hoping for a good hjp ending, but i'm not holding my breath.
You are true hero.

We can do it! Hwaiting!

For a show that uses a lot of it, I'm surprised you didn't notice them.
