HJP not looking for grandma is not really a mistake, IMO he didn't know where she was, since she closed her shop. But it's an arguable mistake, not a definite one.

And he doesn't' discuss with his team what is happening, not only did he lie to SDM but also to the SST team. Until now, after the time skip, nobody knows what NDS did, and I doubt he will bother telling them.
NDS24 - well then, HJP lying is also for good then :) The point is, you make a promise to someone, as much as you hate it, you keep it, otherwise people won't trust you. That is real life.

People are so sick and tired of people who are given God given talents (genetics) in either sports, academics, creatives and etc... and either squandering these talents, or constantly feeling like a victim on why people expect them to perform above average, never maximizing their potential. This describes NDS to a T.
Versus, the person who doesn't have god given talent, who was born ordinary, maybe even in poverty and hardship, and strives to break their limitations to succeed and be above average, rarely playing the victim, and exceeding everyones expectation. This is the story of HJP.
And how the world always rewards the lazy geniuses, versus the hardworking ordinary everyday man/woman.
Here is an ongoing list of ALL of NDS and HJP's many flaws and mistakes throughout 12 episodes. I'll let you be the judge on who has made more mistakes. Let me know if i'm missing anything from both sides, and I will add it. I will keep this updated per episode.

NDS Mistakes 1. Waste his investors (parents) money for 3 years. 2. Did not pay his friends salary for 3 years. 3. Hides from his parents to avoid them from finding out the truth about the failing start up. 4. Cheats on a test 5. Lies to his parents about cheating on the test 6. Extends the lie by not following HJP advice and continuing to fool SDM by pretending to be fake Dosan. 7. Signs deal with Alex without consulting HJP 8. Wants to sign with Alex out of spite for HJP’s Plan B 9. Punches HJP first 10. Shouts and screams at HJP for his own mistakes 11. Lies for HJP, by telling SDM they were brothers. 12. Lies to his parents about why he dropped out of college. 13. Did not tell his parents (investors), about shareholder structure of the company his parents invested in. Especially his mother. 14. Smashes Chairman Won nameplate, almost causing large issues for SST. 15. Given several opportunities, continues to lie to SDM about him being a fake. 16. Lies to SDM about the scrunchie. 17. Lies to SDM about having English classes in her area. 18. Lies to SDM about why he got into a fight. 19. When asked for personal space, chooses to follow her and not give her personal space. 20. Leaves a drunk girl in a park at night, while running to get a suit. 21. Did not tell SST about his deal with Alex, how Alex only wanted engineers. Also did not tell SDM about the deal for SST is because he didn’t want HJP plan B. 22. Kisses SDM under false pretense. 23. Touches SDM while she is sleeping, this is a no no for me. 24. Promises to keep Grandma’s lie, then proceeds to break that promise and tells SDM. 25. Promises to keep Grandma’s lie, then proceeds to break that promise and tells HJP. 26. Purposely kicks out HJP from being in Grandma’s house, by once again lying that HJP had previous dinner plans. 27. Constantly eavesdrops on SDM, not giving her personal space. 30. Refuses to acknowledge any of HJP help as a mentor. 31. Manipulates HJP into saving Noongil.
I see a lot of questions here on why people support or justify JP actions, but all they can do is to keep pointing out NDS fault?
I cannot speak for a majority of HJP fans, but here is my explanation of my own personal experiences.
We know that Kdrama is often unrealistic, fantastical, hypothetical at it's best, yet subconsciously, regardless of how far from reality it is, we find ways to relate to the many characters in the show.
You see, HJP and NDS in the viewers mind represents the good and bad part of ourselves. Let me explain this. In life, problems both big and small come up everyday, and we are constantly at an impasse on what way, which direction to go in solving these problems. Kdramas provide us an escape from our mundane, ordinary lives to enter a world that is often, far more interesting. And in this escapism, we often strive to find ourselves in characters we would either like to be with (if your a woman), or want to be like (if your a man).
And subconsciously, when we watch Kdrama, we don't want mirrors of our weakness. We don't want to be reminded of the times we were immature, or naïve, or the times we got tricked by men or women. That is not enjoyable watching, I would not want a constant reminder of my many weakness as a human being, I am watching for escapism remember? Instead I gravitate more towards the character that shows my potential strength, the character with a much more stronger mental resilience than I have. Because this type of character inspires me to a better person, and I learn many morals from watching such a character. With how tough life can be, I gravitate towards the character that shows more resilience.
HJP is not a perfect characters, he has flaws, and I think that is what makes him more relatable to me. If HJP had been built as a purely perfect character, then I would not be able to relate with him. All his flaws, all his mistakes only serve to add more realism to his character. And the way he deals, and grows from these flaws are inspires me to do the same in my current life. I strive to be as resilient with him. He shows me a hidden mirror of how good I can become, hos resilient I need to be in the face of personal issues.
His good deeds go unrewarded, his money doesn't give him happiness, this is to me, as real as it gets.
NDS is not a perfect character, he has flaws. But what makes me not relate to him to the point where I am annoyed by his actions is because not only he he showing me a mirror to my past weaknesses, he is also showing me that it is ok to wallow in our weaknesses because woe is me. Also, his string of fortunes are coming off the back of luck/fate as he calls it. As unrealistic as Kdrama is, I can't even begin to relate to this type of character, because at my lowest point, when my weaknesses were laid bare for all to see, I never had the fortune that NDS had. To me this is not real life. As I listen to HJP's brash statement to NDS, I kept thinking to myself, where was a guy like HJP when I was growing up, someone to give me the harsh cold truth rather than the sugar coated lies.
Another thing is his actions. The decisions he makes due to his actions doesn't relate to me in my real life, because firstly, if I make those mistakes, the least I will do is admit it. And if I was in NDS position, the least I will do is feel some remorse, and grow from it. These are things he refused to and didn't do in the show.
Why do I find it easy to criticize NDS? Because, I find it easy to criticize myself. If I were to make those same mistakes, I would be so harsh on myself, which I should, rather than blame others.
Why do I not criticize HJP as much? Because I don't need to. Nobody is harsher on HJP than himself. He is the most hardest on himself, regardless of the good he has done in his life, he always feels that he deserves less. And I sympathize with him. I want to believe that doing good has a purpose, that good karma exist, that being a good person has it's own reward, as selfish as it sounds.
I would like to end with this statement.
NDS reminds us viewers of the weaknesses we do not want to admit we have.
HJP reminds us viewers of the strengths we do not know we possess.
SDM represents in us whether we choose to wallow in our weaknesses, or choose to find our inner strength and resilience.
