Throughout the show, we are constantly fed scenes where HJP is always a smidge late when it comes to SDM.
1. He turns his car around and speeds to SDM, but is beaten to the punch by NDS at Injae's work party.
2. He runs and drives fast to stop the meeting between SST and Alex, he is too late.
3. He is about to tell SDM the truth of the lies, NDS comes and stops him.
I hope this ending scene will satisfy the MIJI shippers.
After all the times of HJP being just a fraction of the second late, I would like this to be the ending scene.
HJP arrives to Sandbox, as the elevator opens, he sees NDS kissing SDM on the lips. Feeling sad, and disjointed, HJP presses the "Door Close" button. What he doesn't see is SDM is not kissing NDS back.
Out of the corner of her eye, SDM sees HJP. She looks at NDS and tells him,
SDM: Sorry, there was a time when I truly loved you, but these past three years has made me realize, there has always been one person in my heart, Mr. Han".
She rushes to catch up to HJP.
HJP is on the way to the airport, he has been promoted to be the new head of the SH Venture expansion in Silicon Valley. He gets into a Taxi and doesn't see SDM come out running towards him.
Now it is SDM who keeps missing him by a fraction of a second. She has no idea where HJP is going. And she starts crying. NDS finally catches up to SDM. and for the first time, NDS finally does the right thing. She looks at SDM and says:
NDS: Do you know where he is going, you can still catch up to him.
SDM biting back tears says.
SDM: No, and I'm afraid I have lost him forever, without telling him how I feel.
NDS looks at his phone, then back to SDM.
NDS: I may have a way...
SDM: What is it?
NDS: Ummm... I actually bugged Mr. Han's with a GPS tracker....
SDM: You what?!?
NDS: Now is not the time for talking, let's go. I can put in the coordinates in Tarzan and we can follow him.
SDM and NDS get get on Tarzan and the car follows HJP to the airport.
SDM: Thank you Dosan, I will never forget this.
NDS: Just go!
SDM is seen running trying to catch up to HJP.
When she enters the airport door, she is stopped by the sight of HJP kneeling on one knee, with Halmoni and WIJ beside him with tears in their eyes.
SDM stops, tears starting to well up.
SDM: But how?
HJP: After a lifetime chasing after you and being late, I was not going to miss the one chance when I am on time. Dalmi, will you be my forever, and marry me?
SDM, with tears streaming down her face nods her head, goes in to hug HJP, and they kiss. Everyone in the airport claps.
Outside the airport, NDS smiles at the scene. NDS look at Tarzan the car and tells it.
Has there ever been a Kdrama, where the ML and FL are shown to have ZERO hardships? Like zero penalty for their mistakes? SDM and NDS path is paved with so much gold, it's blinding.
dosan in no way a perfect character, he is still struggling and makes choices that may not be the best but that…
This is an unfair assessment because the playing field isn't even.
How often do you see a love triangle, where the other guy, HJP, does everything in his power to level the playing field, but the main guy, NDS, does everything he can to monopolize SDM's time? Even though HJP and NDS are not friends, HJP still often acts like the bigger man, giving praise when it's due, and doesn't slander NDS in front of SDM. Can you say the same for NDS?
Truth of the matter, the writer, and the characters in the show has consistently made sure that HJP almost never has even a moment alone with SDM, while at the same time goes out of their way to put SDM and NDS in romantic situations.
Even in real life, its highly difficult to fall for someone, you see maybe 5-10 times a month, versus someone you work with everyday. This is why extra marital affairs occur, and why a lot of long distance relationships falter.
The way everything is being portrayed here is very highly unrealistic and romanticized, even by Kdrama standards.
Park Hye Run and her team has a contractual obligation to Nam Joo Hyuk and Bae Suzy's agency to provide at least…
To be honest, with the remaining 4 episodes, and the fact that SDM has not shown any interest in HJP at all.
The remaining episode will probably just be about SDM ands NDS falling in love again, and how their NEW company becomes bigger than Tesla. Then 1-2 episodes showing them dating, fan service, maybe even a wedding episode.
The way I'm most curious about Jipyeong's ending as well as Injae's. Don't really care about Dosan and Dalmi's…
Park Hye Run and her team has a contractual obligation to Nam Joo Hyuk and Bae Suzy's agency to provide at least 2 episodes showing them dating and having fun.
I'm not sure if they are able to fit HJP and WIJ in the limited episodes they have. The schedule is already tight as is.
After the three year time skip, SDM actually ends up being the clingy one. She starts to stalk NDS throughout Sandbox. Names her project Tarzan after her memories of NDS, and even cyber stalks NDS online via Cheul San's Blog.
SDM finally catches NDS, and in her hand she holds what appears to be a ring box. NDS holds the box, and like a mirror being shown to him, NDS realize how toxic he was three years ago, and he is turned off by SDM's stalker tendencies. He lets her down gently by telling her he would like to focus on his startup, to which SDM replies.
SDM: You're breaking up with me?
Dosan flips his hair, looks Dalmi in the eyes and says cooly.
NDS: We were never dating you weirdo.
HJP and WIJ can be seen slow clapping in the background, as NDS walks away to the tune of "Please, Forget About Me".
https://twitter.com/seonhoppa_/status/1332258723817930752?s=19NEW CLIP. This is depressing. She is obviously still…
Oh wait, you mean they are using the rarely used "Is that the guy, I love? I better chase him... Oopsie, wrong guy, now I have coffee on me!" strategy? This writer is such an outlier, using all these techniques that have NEVER EVER been used by other kdramas.
The creativity of this madwomen continually astounds me!
I mean what's next? NDS using drones to spell will you marry me? Oops, I might have just spoiled the ending :(
welp looks like as many of us has predicted, NDS is going to come back with a totally new personality LOL!https://twitter.com/seonhohappy/status/1332198918419955712
I guess we're going to start calling him New Do San then...
I'm just going to imagine that Start Up is a mini series that starts at Ep. 13 and just ignore all preceding 12 episodes. Then maybe it will make sense.
I agree, let's discuss other things...What do you think will be the burn rate of creating an AI system that focuses…
Everyone agrees, the first 4-5 episodes is a good mix. But from episode 6 onwards, there has been VERY LITTLE plot that involved the business aspects of the show. Family is barely shown, as Won In Jae's screen time has been cut to that of a cameo.

2. He runs and drives fast to stop the meeting between SST and Alex, he is too late.

On MDL, almost all the HJP fans are quite mature.
Ok, 85% then.
