I was just thinking after re-watching the Ep. 13 preview that what we are seeing is misleading. I think what we are actually seeing is something like this.
The ransomware part will happen earlier in the episode, and NDS will come back to solve it.
I think that NDS invites SDM to create a company and he calls it Tarzan. The reason I feel this is because, there is a chance that SDM does not grow and still feels jealous of WIJ. And, I can't imagine somebody with SDM's jealousy would willingly give WIJ her idea. I don't think they will show the sisters patching it up during the time skip.
So Tarzan is actually formed with the SST and Saha as their original plan was.
I also do not think HJP and SDM will be in a relationship because of the body language when they are at SDM house. HJP has been brother zoned, and SDM treats him like a brother instead.
I also noticed that HJP has moved away from his tshirt/sports jacket and italian shoes look. And instead opted for a sedentary look of vest, tie and rubber shoes. He looked more like a tenured professor here than cool investor. NDS on the other hand has pretty much copied HJP old style, complete with the expensive car.
And remember when NDS and HJP were arguing about SDM, and HJP say's then let's switch. I think after the 3 year time skip, this is exactly what happened. NDS became the man outside looking in, HJP got a family he can spend time with. And another thing I think that switched is their wealth status.
NDS will be coming back very wealthy, and HJP will lose a majority of his money investing in a non profitable company like noon gil. Remember Grandma says, come to me when you have no more money and need a roof to sleep in. I think that is what happens, and HJP is living with Grandma as well.
Sorry to give HJP fans more hope, but check out this interesting dialogue in episode 5. We know the new project will be called Tarzan, so I wanted to go back to the Tarzan scene in Ep. 5. I wonder if this scene can be foreshadowing of what is to come.
We know that Jane is Tarzan's dream girl, the same way SDM is NDS dream girl...
First we review NDS explanation of Machine Learning, one thing we'll notice that his explanation is very much a fairy tale, and he uses fictional characters Tarzan and Jane.
NDS: Tarzan grew up on a deserted island and has never seen a woman in his life.
NDS: But one day Jane arrives in the island.
Translation: NDS talks about himself, he has limited experience with women, until SDM enters his life.
NDS: He gives her a rock, and she doesn't like that.
NDS: But when he gives her a flower, it makes her happy.
Translation: I think NDS starts making parallel to HJP and Himself. Where HJP is the rock, and NDS is the sweet flower. This would make sense as HJP is seen by the SST crew as being heartless and hard like a rock. And NDS is the sweet flower, who is sweet and kind, but like a flower, goes wherever the wind takes him.
SDM: He's never dated, so he doesn't know what women like.
NDS: That's right so Tarzan keeps on trying.
Translation: Once again, talking about himself, he is not sure how SDM will react to things nor does he know what SDM wants. And this is true, as we see in later episodes, he doesn't know how to handle SDM's emotions, and often doesn't have a clue on what she needs. Like personal space for example.
NDS: One day he catches a snake, but she doesn't like it.
NDS: One day, he gives her a cute rabbit, and that makes her happy.
Translation: I think this is foreshadowing of the future rivalry between HJP and SDM, where he compares HJP to a snake with ulterior motives, and himself as an innocent, and cute rabbit. With SDM preferring the rabbit.
NDS: She seems displeased when he yells, but she likes it when he smiles.
NDS: While building such experience he learns how to win Jane's heart.
Translation: NDS imagines that SDM does not like people who yell at her, give her harsh criticism's, but prefer people who always say yes to her, and smiles a lot. NDS believes that his way of sweet smiles is the way to win SDM's heart.
Now, here is the interesting part. In the same Ep. 5, we can see that the SST is having trouble solving their accuracy problem with the fairy tale. We basically see SST failing due to their close mindedness and their heads being the clouds. And SDM literally pops the bubble, the fairy tale of NDS mind.
SDM: Jane prefers flowers, but I prefer rocks.
SDM: Flowers are useless on a deserted island. With rocks, you can knock off fruit off trees and scare of wolves.
Translation: She includes herself in the story now, she brings the fairy tale of Tarzan and Jane to the real world. And in it, she would rather have a rock, than sweet flowers. This mimics her line in Ep. 12 when she tells HJP she would rather know the harsh truth than a life full of hopes and dreams. This also talks about how effective HJP has been, and more useful in a deserted island like Sandbox
SDM: That is why I would prefer rocks to flowers.
Translation: I prefer HJP, rather than NDS.
I hope this is foreshadowing LOL!
I think this dialogue is suppose to show us the differences of wants vs needs. Right now, NDS may be the man SDM wants, but HJP is the man SDM needs.
Also, I find it interesting how SDM actually separates herself from Jane. I think Jane is the image NDS has of SDM, his dream girl. Right now in NDS mind, SDM is perfect, she's always beautiful, and etc... Just like his fairytale girl Jane. But SDM is saying, i'm not a fairy tale girl, I am me.
Right now, a pretty flower, is just that a pretty flower, which will wither and die from the passage of time. While a rock will stand for all eternity. And this makes total sense to me.
NDS as a sweet flower, is always allowing his emotions (the winds) to sway him from left to right, he has no conviction, he just follows wherever SDM tells him to go. Flowers in bloom are sweet, they are pretty to look at. But when your in a deserted island, it's useless. I believe the deserted island is suppose to symbolize real life, and not fairy tales/dreams.
HJP on the other hand, has been SDM's rock so to speak. From his letters 15 years ago, to sandboxing her now as an adult. He has been the one constant in her life aside from Grandma. And when push comes to shove, when in a deserted island. He will be useful to knock fruits of trees (help SDM achieve success by giving her opportunities), and scare off the wolves (I think wolves here stands for her fears, her confidence issues, and we've seen a few times now, how HJP words have a powerful effect in empowering her.
For the longest time SDM was stuck in a deserted island. She had a dead end job, no real future, until NDS entered her life, like a dream. A prince charming of sorts, like those in the fairy tales. And his sweet words, made her sink deeper and deeper into his fairy tale world.
In this fairy tale world, she was with her one true love, the man from 15 years ago. In this fairy tale world, she is better than her sister, more successful, her mother even wished her success more than WIJ. And here lay a man completely devoted to her. Life is amazing in this dream like world.
Until it wasn't; until Alex destroyed the fairy tale world, and SDM had to return to the real world. And in the real world, she is not better than her sister. Which makes her working for her sister such an important plot point, as it shows that SDM has woken up from her dream like state, and has accepted reality.
i saw on youtube & twitter some of the logic that dosan supporters have, here's what they think:-dosan is a flawed…

Do we still call it a flaw if no one on the show, except for HJP sees them as flaw? Literally the whole start up characters all think NDS is a godsend, smartest, kindest, selfless person ever. Even the parents think this, heck even SDM thinks this. Is it a flaw anymore when nobody except for one person sees/thinks this?
It's like a question if the witch is evil, but everyone thinks the witch is good, is she a good witch or a bad witch?
Sure the audience sees it, but in my opinion, the characters of the show should be able to see it as well.

This was the tragedy of SDM father, and it's been shown time and time again in the show, through the eyes of different people that being a dreamer is dangerous, when your two top people in your company are dreamers, then you are in trouble. Like when NDS saves SDM at every stick situation? or when she doesn't even allow SDM to learn from her mistake? That doesn't sound like independence, but rather co-dependence.

Regardless of how smart NDS is, what HR in the world would hire an unhinged, very emotional engineer? So if his boss get's angry at him, he will flip out? The whole hiring NDS felt so unrealistic in the first place.
The SST has never cared about penalties. When HJP asked SDM are they sure about their share structure? SDM said yes. When HJP asked what happens if they fight, SDM says, it won't happen.
When NDS comes back from the time skip, I imagine they will go back to how they were, and just be in a relationship, and pretty much forget the 3 year time skip. Based on the ep preview, it seems to be headed in that direction.
Then it will most likely end with a wedding proposal, and possible wedding episode.

I think I can speak for most HJP fans when I say, most didn't hate him from the get go, in fact people were still defending him as late as EP. 6.
It's all his downhill fall into a toxic, clingy, manipulative man, who does all these bad things in the name of petty jealousy and obsessive love, that most fans were turned off by him.
The writers gave fans too many ammunition to completely dissect NDS character. And with a time skip coming, a lot of fans are just rolling their eyes at the forced growth.
Also, since they started "improving" NDS character so late in the game EP 9-12, a lot of the scenes felt very forced, and did not illicit the feelings the writers intended. Even the backstory, which is supposed to be tragic, often fell on deaf ears.
As i've said before, they could easily have given NDS the backstory treatment at a much earlier episode, for a slow burning character progression. But instead, as if the writer suddenly remembered NDS is suppose to be the ML, they started cutting out HJP scenes to showcase all these forced "NDS is a good guy scenes".

NDS, like Will Ferrell, tries to establish his dominance as an Alpha Male, but as we al know NDS is more of a Beta. But here is the thing, in SamSan Tech, NDS is the undisputed Alpha Male, but SST is but a tiny bubble in the pond. In the larger pond, everybody views HJP as the Alpha Male.
So when HJP encroaches into NDS domain, all his animalistic tendencies are cued, and NDS starts to exert his dominance, and his fellow san brothers cheer him on. But the thing that the SST trio don't understand is that HJP is Mark Wahlberg, he just exudes Alpha Male pheromones.
And just like in Daddy's Home, the presence of HJP, is enough to drive up the testosterone of NDS to higher levels. It gets high enough where NDS starts becoming a possible contender for the Alpha Male status that HJP currently enjoys.

Just proving a point, there hasn't been much else to discuss other than the romance.
The show has been 95% romance, and only 5% business.
Even if people wanted to discuss something else, it's near impossible. There is literally no other plot lines that are shrouded in mystery.
The last story to talk about the revenge arc, was very unsatisfactory and resolved in less than 10 minutes of screen time.
Everything else to talk about is who SDM will end up with. Even the notions of the start up business isn't fleshed out enough to talk about.
I am genuinely curious though if Cheul San will open a resort in his Misaeng farm as has been hinted.

One of my favorite scenes in the show is when SDM gets in the car, tells HJP she can't sleep in strange places, then 2 seconds later is fast asleep.
And when they finally arrived at the location, he made sure not to touch her, and just reclined her chair while smiling at her.
