Everyone here is commenting on the fact that he treats her better and is the fan and author's favorite but not talking about what he did to her before he started treating her nicely.

This is kinda like "Yeah he broke her legs and cut off her fingers but he became nicer and he's everyone's favorite" This is what it sounds like not me.

Also, I'm not judging them or their preferences, yeah everyone has their own preferences but they should at least acknowledge some of the things he did, people just ignore that and talk about how he treats her nicely in the future
