What a great start! XD Funny, crazy, unhinged and also very well-acted! I never had doubts with Big because he's a very experienced actor, but comedy is very difficult to portray in a convincing way and all the cast did great, they really went all out! XD I laughed so much! XD
(And yes, Big is such a fine guy... plus Keng/Namping cameo was a very pleasant surprise!)
You know, I really really love how this show manages to walk on that subtle line between the "epic drama" and the "cringe-coded drama". Some scenes shines with intensity and some other I'm like: "oh c'mon again???". But, I still love it! It's my guilty pleasure, it's the one I really look forward to every week and that I think about continuosly!
Peak in this drama probably cried more than Gun Attaphan and War Wanarat in all of their dramas put together - if Saenkaew spoke his mind one-tenth of how much he cries, this series would have ended 10 episodes ago.
Also, Pearl is nailing the "longing look" so well, he really has the expression of one who is in love... on the other hand he still has to work on his "sad look". But, aside from zombie grandma, everyone else is really giving their all with their characters!

I felt the way in which Saen's falling in love was shown was more subtle - Sasin is an open and extrovert guy and he's very impulsive, so it was pretty clear and obvious how he fell in love and how this was shown. On then other hand, Saen's started off annoyed by Sasin because he only perceived his "outer" layer, but bit by bit he discovered all his passions and he could be carefree with him... his "falling" was shown through small smiles, small sighs, small details and looks while he slowly "peeled" Sasin's outer "player mask" to see his inner core.
You know… people love to hate Pin. They call her obsessed, selfish, the one who can’t move on. And honestly?…

I feel and hope we'll have a happy ending ("To Sir with Love" has an even earlier setting, since it's when the Japanese invaded Siam in the 40s, and after all the tragic events our m/m couple lives happily ever after) since, although this is a lakorn, it's pretty BL-oriented and we still have 2eps to go... fingers crossed!

Honestly I'm with you on this. I don't agree with her "rage marriage" but she's completely right in saying that they BOTH betrayed her because neither of them is a 10yo so they should have been clear and honest with her in the moment they realized they were in love. It has never ever happened, not once in whatever story or real life, that by not saying the truth you "save someone from pain". No no no, never happens. You just "delay the pain" and usually when it's delayed it's even worse.
So: they had to tell her the truth, BOTH of them failed her. Sasin was also entrusted with her care so that's even worse, he's Pin's closest person and he needed to be honest with her (I'm not saying he shouldn't love Saen, but that he should have told her).
And for those saying that Saenkaew is not at fault: he's been overly kind and caring to Pin, and that led her into believing that he cares for her. I know, he's only being gallant, BUT: I know a lot of women nowadays too who think "omg he likes me!!!!" only because a guy sent them a message or a smile or whatever. (Truth be told he tried to tell Pin that he wants to call the marriage off, but she didn't listen - still, he could just simply speak sometimes and say "i don't love you i'm sorry")

One thing I always find kinda funny when watching martial arts series is that they always keep sayng it's almost impossible to reach the apex of some techniques, but then everyone is "he's phase this" or "he's phase that", "he's a deity", "he's a sword god" and so on... which makes jianghu a place pretty busy with super people... somehow it reminds me of those endless sport anime like Captain Tsubasa or so, in which everyone is the strongestpersonever but only for five minutes. XD
that said, personal preference: I just can't see Wuxin as a 17yo boy. I'm loving both the character and the actor's performance, but he looks way older than everyone else (since he actually is).
Just started this, both because the rating is stellar and because it's from the same universe of Blood River which starts next week... I must admit I find it a bit chaotic with so many characters, BUT I've come to terms with this problem any time I start a new wuxia. Also Untamed and Word of Honor and Fangs of Fortune kinda had the same problem but I ended up lost in love, so I'll just be patient and I'll let all the pieces fit step by step. :)

Agreed, this was very friendship-coded (and scary XD) and I really loved all the moments between Jet/Charn, Jet/Khem/Charn... Jet is such a wonderful friend and a generous and positive human being!
And yeah, Net's cameo at the end was just cherry on top of the cake.... and he was even full-leather, ready to rock! XD
Offroad looks really stunning in this series! He's always cute in every role he portrayed up to now, but here he just rocks: he's matured so much, he looks almost perfect!
Sidenote - watching the preview for next episode I kinda had a feeling that this might end just like SMYM or Trapped... with one ending up in jail for some kind of crime and the other, being a cop, waiting for him outside.
Ep4 hit hard, I'm really loving Satang's portrayal of Wave and he even looked more handsome than usual this episode! His eyes are so biiiiiiig aaaaaaaaan shiiiiiiiining! *_* XD
Thor's cameo was a great plus and oh my, we'll get Sing next episode too, can't wait!
Honorable mention to the love scene: I really liked how the setting and the colours were the same as their first kiss, BUT the mood was completely different. And, their movements and vibes were so "relatable and real" when thinking they are 20yo boys! Well done!
