First episode was a mix of action, superhero guys firing elements like they were in the Avatar franchise, beautiful Thai forests, and cringeness. I’M SEATED!
But the thing is she isn’t helping, she claims to love the prince yet in everything she shows that she doesn’t…
They actually spoke about it - Pin and Saen talked about the fact that it's a planned marriage for economic purposes and being that he didn't fully explain his reasons for not wanting the marriage (obviously), she just thinks he's scared/worried/whatever.
Yes, the fact that she doesn't see (or doesn't want to see) that his fiancee and his cousin are in love is pretty fastidious, but even Sasin and Saen are not free of guilt: they claim to act for Pin's best but both are lying to her instead of talking to her.
And let's not forget she's... what? 18yo? 20yo? Her love is the "flowers hearts marriage happyhappy" kind of love, probably the very first in her life... and first love has the power to make everyone kind of blind.
Just love this comment section, everyone is pining and being desperate for these two lovely bunnies! I honestly wasn't expecting to be so invested in this series, but now I'm already counting the days separating us from next Monday! T_T
Sidenote - for all those people saying that Pin needs to get a life... for as much as I can understand how naive and egoistic she might look, you should always remember that a noble lady's destiny at that time was to get married to someone their parents decided. She could end up with some old rich fart just for economic purposes, instead she has the chance to marry her all-time crush who's a young, beautiful, intelligent, gallant and rich prince... I think every lady at that time, being in her shoes, would be more than happy! And, for all those saying that "you can't make someone love you if they don't"... just think about how many people even nowadays are stuck in toxic relationships with egoistic/narcissistic partners, in a neverending crusade of "i will love this person and he/she will love me back someday"... happens pretty often. Is it right? No. But it happens.
(I'm not justifying Pin, but honestly up to now I really can't hate her... even Saenkaew can't decide for his life, and he's a man and a prince! She is in the same exact spot... with the difference being that she's a woman so she counts even less when it comes to decision making...)
XDYou know what, I thought she was "acting old" so bad that I checked the actress age... and she's actually…
Ahahaha, thanks for the confidence boost! XD Just kidding obviously, but she definitely aged very very well, at least in the pictures I've seen here on MDL. :)
Such a sad but real story - all the shades of humanity: love, passion, greed, desperation, egoism, revenge... two hours of great cinema: all the actors were amazing but Jeff, as always, shines with his charisma and intensity.
Must watch. (Plus, Keng is one hot gardener, oh boy!)
I know we all want Saenkaew's Papa to go 6 feet under... But let's be honest here. His concerns are valid. I'm…
I totally agree with you! Kamfah is coming out as a very abusive, strict, violent and dictatorial father BUT this drama is set in the 1960s and almost every family was a patriarchy in which everything was decided by the dad... plus we're talking nobility here, so there are titles, money and lands involved! If our little bunny doesn't marry and have a son, the family lineage will just end there and that would be a shame for a Prince like Kamfah. His actions are totally in line with what was the time - I think the only thing in which the drama slightly fails is the depiction of the social surroundings (daily life in 1960s), and that might be why many people feel like this dad is "cruel out of nowhere".
It reminds me a lot of Thian's mother in "To Sir, With Love" - she knows her son is gay and she tries to keep it a secret because she wants to protect him, since she has seen already what being gay in a court means.
(mind me, I also root for our boys and I hope this dad gets what he deserves, but I feel like he's a much more realistic character than, for example, the servants).
Is it only me but PEARL seems to NOT like skinship. All the behind the scenes and public appearances that they…
For as much as I love many fixed ships, excessive fanservice is always toxic.
An actor is an actor: he plays a role INSIDE a movie/drama/script or whatsoever, not outside... and, an actor is also a person: there are many people who do not like skinship (for example, I am extremely uncomfortable with it even inside close relationship -with my son, my family, my close friends-).
I'm really appreciating Pearl's acting and his portrayal of Sasin but I would never expect him (or any other actor) to "feed BL fans". ^^
Today we did not only get excellent nostril acting, but also toe acting! XDAlso, I'm done with the grandma: she's…
XD
You know what, I thought she was "acting old" so bad that I checked the actress age... and she's actually 70yo! So how come she looks like a 20yo impersonating a grandma? XD
not really......this is a whole separate story.......
Perfect! I actually had planned to watch Blood of Youth sooner or later, given the high ratings, but I'm not really sure I can make it now... so I'll just save it for when I have more time.
Since this will air in about two weeks AND I CAN'T WAIT ----- but since we have to wait: are the two dramas from the shared universe required watch to better understand the plot? I'm not sure I can bingewatch both in two weeks, but, who knows.... XD
I’m dying for the English subtitles, we may have to wait 24 hours since episode 7 was released. It’s so rare…
Same! I think only Khemjira has me so hooked! <3
Somehow this wait reminds me of when I started watching dramas twenty years ago and subtitles were almost a luxury item for just a few series... lol, yes I'm old! XD
Awwww such a cute series! Sea's acting is getting better, while Keen once again confirms his skill... this boy is definitely multitalented and I hope they can both keep working together to get better and better!
Storywise this was a mix of 23.5 and Bad Buddy, BUT shorter and perfectly balanced between fun and emotion. I loved how they captured the growth of ErrMawin relationship and also all the surrounding friends dynamics. Loved it!
I wasn't expecting to like this as I actually do - it's nothing revolutionary, and honestly the dialogues are often pretty flat, BUT all the characters are interesting and their dynamics are very promising! Also, I loved how straightforward Lava was in saying he doesn't like women.
Sidenote - Mond is such an amazing actor, he can pull off any role and in this one he looks so mature...!
I kept wondering where had I seen the evil brother, and I finally realized he's the brother of Film in "To Sir with Love"... just, in that series he's a million-times better brother than here! XD
PS - this episode had some direction issues BUT our boys are as wonderful and charismatic as ever! PPS - c'mon Ou looked so much better in all-black instead than dressed like a waiter...!
October 20th is comiiiiiiing!!!!
