Well, Fujiwara-kun is my all-time favorite actor since... well, since twenty years now, so I suppose I should watch this ! The story feels so absurd, but... nothing can be too absurd in terms of jdramas. XD Let's go!
When this episode ended, I was like: "c'mon where did you hid YongJie?!?", I must say I really missed his presence even though almost half of the episode rotated around him in a way.
Once again, I find XingSi to be portrayed in an amazing way (even though I was a bit shocked at the coming out scene, since it looked a bit too abrupt having seen how scared he had been about it...), his character somehow smoothens every scene and the actor's smile is heartwarming!
Coming of age, maybe. But not coming out. And not "LGBT" either. OK, maybe B. Not G, that's for sure. Jun's life…
That scene honestly got me confused too. I watched it twice to try and understand if I was missing something, but for the whole scene I was thinking “please don’t kiss her, please don’t kiss her her” because it totally didn’t make sense. And somehow it placed upside down all the struggles he tried to face during the preceding episodes. I fully agree with you on that.
Finished. And I miss them already. This story is so well acted, well filmed and... well, well everything! I didn't feel the "slow pace" everyone is talking about: the acting was so intense that I was really drawn into the events and I found myself completely immersed in the feelings and vibes of every scene.
Probably the best long BL (and generally speaking, love story) I've seen, even tho' it's a close race with ATOTS, ITSAY and HCTM... Thailand definitely has a different touch when it comes to boy/boy relationship.
I would honestly love to see a girl/girl story made in Thailand ("Yes No" was terrible but it's also pretty old so...)
Bingewatching thru it and at the end at episode 13 I must stop, take a breath, and say: FINALLY a healthy relationship! This BL is so much more than just a BL: it has a positive main couple, a fun side-couple, great friends, a natural development in every relationship, a nice OST, stunning actors (Ohm is possibly the most handsome boy I've ever seen! o.o), a tragedy that serves as a thread to connect many subtle hints on how society reacted/reacts to gay couples...
But most of all, I'm really delighted to see a story in which it's not "ehi i'm a cool straight guy and I'm randomly falling for my straight male friend only because it's him", but a NORMAL, HEALTHY, GAY couple. I wasn't expecting this drama to be so sweet and soft (I've got a smile stamped on my face since episode one) and heartwarming, even though the premises are so tragic.
We reached half of this series and every episode keeps convincing me I totally love XS/YJ couple way more than MR/LC. I can't stand Li Cheng's ways, he feels so stupid and pushy at times... I mean, ok, he makes me laugh and they are cute too but... meh, they feel like "the same old story".
Is it only me that actually thinks nothing happened? I think the "little brother" got him drunk intentionally…
I sooooo agree with you! It is pretty clear that YJ has a very complex plan but he also loves XS too much to hurt him, he would never directly hurt physically or mentally his brother but instead he is sacrificing his own "image of being a good person" by acting as the bad one.
To be honest I find much more "aggressive" LC who's being way too pushy towards MR. >.>
...I might be into a Thai craze lately, I used to watch only Japanese dramas but well... after ITSAY I'm just adding Thai titles to my list AND NOT EVEN ONE up to now let me down. I finished bingewatching 1000stars and I jumped on this one, and... oh boy, am I happy I'm watching this series.
I just finished ep 6 and this is probably the best coming out I've seen up to now. It feels so natural, even though Thun's love is "weird" in a sense, since the subject is a ghost, but still everything feels so real and heartfelt. Ohm is delivering an AMAZING performance thrughout all the scenes.
I loved Singto in Sotus, and I missed him so I was eager to watch this series also because of him; I like his sweet and eccentric portrayal of Med... but somehow I feel he's a bit too "cartoonistic" in some scenes, I definitely found him more fit for Kangpob's role.
But honestly my favourite character and actor in all of this is Prince/Chimon. Apart from being dazzling cute, his acting is so smooth and detailed... love the friends dynamics in this drama.
I think in almost every Thai drama I'm watching, I'm in love with how supportive and understanding friends are.
Wow. I binge-watched the 10 episodes in the best marathon of my life, and now I'm crying out of happiness, liberation, warmth, bliss. This series was so complete: I was expecting something much more dramatic, but instead I only got positive vibes of redemption and forgiveness even after the worst happenings episode after episode.
This is an amazing love story, regardless of the BL component, acted magnificently and filmed wonderfully. I'm amazed on how Thailand keeps delivering this high-quality products, kudos to everyone who helped creating this series.
the short ones are nicknames and the long ones are the official names, but if you want to dig into the topic,…
Omg, thank you! Yes, I was actually still wondering about it... and I was wondering about this even more and more, at each drama I watch! You made my day!
I'm in a minority about Mu Ren, but I find him entirely unattractive, although he has nice eyes and skin. It was…
We’re in the same minority then! XD In that bathtub scene I though the same thing, he’s so thin I would be afraid to break him! XD That’s probably also why I don’t like the way they dress him: oversized clothes on MuRen look like if he’s a fifth son to a poor family, wearing his big brothers shirts because there’s nothing else to wear. O.o
And, I actually find YongJie the most interesting character up to now. Twisted, but interesting plot-wise. (And, yeah - cool actor too XD He reminds me of someone but I can’t focus whom)
Hoooooly, this was one tough of an episode! O-O MuRen is so thin he looks like a giraffe, I can't help but laugh in some scenes... I like his character but I just can't get used to the actor (and his clothes... what the hell of a jacket was he wearing in the lift scene, he looked like a Triangle-with-a-face!??).
Much love to XingSi. So handsome and such an amazing actor! <3
Ok, I don't get this but... why are they talking like Duo's first girlfriend who's definitely a male, is a girl? Maybe I'm not getting something from the translation, is the character transgender? Because "she" has a male voice, a male body, a male everything... but they keep saying "girlfriend".
And in the library scene when Duo's boss finds the two students all lovey-dovey: they are obviously a boy and a girl but the translation says "what's wrong with homosexual love". But it's an etero couple. o.o
Holy... I had totally forgotten about this drama! I remember watching it when it aired and I was like: "whaaaat???" at every episode but still I had fun even through all the absurd and kitsch moments XD
I started this drama for the first time around six months ago, but somehow I put it on hold after ep.2 and then I totally forgot about it. That time, I found it slow and kinda boring, even though I usually love slow-paced slice of life j-dramas.
Yesterday I decided I'd try to watch it again, and I found out it wasn't the drama the one at fault: it was me. Probably I wasn't ready to face the honest, sweet, open-hearted main character of this story and his enlightening approach to everydaylife.
I bingewatched all the 10 episodes and I was left with an amazing feeling of happiness, satisfaction, warmth... a huge smile inside and outside.
Takahashi Issei proves his acting skills wonderfully in this role, but all the other actors were great too. Definitely a 10/10, this drama is a small, simple, yet majestic gem.
omg I just watched the preview of ep 7 and 8 and they're such HEARTBREAKING T___Tit doesn't seem good at all for…
Amen! I'm praying along! XD I don't care much about MuRen but the preview did seem harsh on him o.o But most of all, I hope YongJie&XingSi solve their relationship in a happily everafter! <3
Uh oh so many informations, episode after episode! I wish they would have 45mins episodes on this S2,there's definitely too much to say and I'm afraid it'll be rushed and incomplete by the end...
Anyway, these two guys are the best BL couple ever. They are amazing actors per se, but together they really shine!
And is it just me, or anytime I see Pei Shou Yi making cocktails I think he would look good at other jobs too, like... firefighter? Policemen? Sailor? XD ...seriously, how many things can this man do? XD
I was trying to think back to a drama which I loved in the same way that I love this one and the only one I can…
I sooo agree on this comparison with CTL, the vibes are similar! I feel like the actors in both dramas completely understood their characters and everything around them works 100% in any aspect! I would love a CTL season 2 too, in fact. XD
Aaaaand I keep rooting for the stepbrothers couple, YongJie's plan starts to have an explanation and I couldn't stop empathise with these two actors, they are so good in their respective roles!
On the other hand, why is Mu Ren always dressed up in those horrible clothes that look like tapestry or like my grandma's couch? o.o
Anyway, I'm hooked! I understand those saying that they feel uncomfortable, but I've seen way worse schemes in other dramas' relationships, sooooo...
