The fun factor is I am a mother and i have two boys.. π₯°ππ€£ big fan of bl.. π
Ah yeah, so far only one GL held my interest to the end, and now I'm watching Pluto because Namtan is stunning (have you seen her? Dayum) and the story isn't so bad. But yeah Asian dramas have a lot to offer across the board for entertainment, nothing wrong with it. The fact that your family/friends would ridicule you for liking Asian dramas in general, not even just being homophobes about BL says more about them than anything else. That's a THEM problem. Forget that noise.
Since you like all Asian drama (BL or bromance, gotta recc The Devil Judge and Oh No! Here Comes Trouble. (if you haven't seen them yet) They're both awesome shows.
My mom often watches BL's with me but I am still debating if I should introduce her to this one because she is…
LOL, nice, but I get the pickiness, my mum tried a couple a BLs on her own since TU and TS, unfortunately she came across the Thai ones that are generally popular (you know the ones) and now she won't touch Thai BL for miles. I am also expecting my mother to give RL a major side eye π€£ IF I can get her to watch it. I'm doing a slow intro, showing clips of the actors, read the synopsis, telling her about the hype, the bts, selling her on it gradually but she's stubborn. If your mum's picky, you may need to play the long game in bringing her expectation around before she watches it XD if she fights about it let her take the win, we know this shit is wild lol
Lol... my mom is homophobic so my dad so my bro so this will never happen in my family πππU are so lucky
People who can't live and let others live (so long as everything and everyone involved is safe, mostly sane and consensual) are just miserable fuckers who hate their own lives, and misery LURRRRVVVS company. Nah nah. No time for that, as Blink 182 says "life is too short to last long" π€£ Just live your lives people.

"In Romania most adult think gay ppl dress as a women" ~ a lack of education on the subject is always going to be the issue, but it's even worse when the so called 'modern' ones are homophobic, it's like human decency and common sense are chasing them but they're running faster π€£ They might as well live in a cave. I don't blame you for dropping those friendships, if someone cannot be a basically decent human with common sense, I wouldn't bother being around them. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Lol, I have nothing against ABO as a genre, I have read it before in fanfiction, way back when it was just getting popular and even occasionally now, but it's a very uh, loopy genre. I personally don't think it's a genre that can translate on screen as anything besides cringe π

I am grateful to have a mother who is not homophobic, I doubt we'd get along so well if she was, I am not particularly tolerant of homophobes or racists . I'm not a family orientated person, so besides my mum, idgaf about any other people's around me who may have an opinion, related to me or not, lol. I do know other people, like your own situation, have that struggle with family and even some friends, I honestly don't know how you (or others) deal. π Stay strong!
Technically it's meant to be NC17, it means 'no children under' a certain age allowed or admitted in to watch a movie/show. People have generally started to use it refer to sex scenes, but it's actually for many different 'adult themes', not only sex.
Lol I guess. She watches LGBTQ content occasionally, so it's not a big step away from that. We watched QAF together years ago and Fellow Travelers recently, so watching this is just an adjustment to the difference in the dramatic fantasy genre of BL. I'm not sure how she's going to feel about this one though, it'll be funny to find out.
I'm currently working on getting my mum to watch this. She watched The Untamed (and loved it) and she watched The Spirealm (and liked it) and now I want to see how she'll feel about RL π I'm expecting mixed reactions ππ
Enjoy whichever couple you like, you're free to prefer whatever suits your tastes! :D And enjoy both couples too! Zhan Xuan (Chengyu) is the best looking of the four actors imo, but I think both pairs have totally different dynamics which make them attractive and they all compliment their respective pairing partners so well. This casting has been a pleasure to watch.
Stayed offline all day and came back to find the comment section is still a mess, but there were some helpful ones among the ongoing panic, paranoia and doom sayers. Keen for next week.
