Respect for the Marquis! He's one supporting character that I want to see a confirmed HE in the show. Ep 20 was just so sweet for MM and ZQ, and I love ZQ's happy smiley face.
Finally we find out more about Fuyi's and MuYao's relationship. Added a little more depth to their story!

You made a good point! I can understand why he left her behind after the incident in episode 18. I just totally dislike the noble idiocy trope.
We have dramas where the couples choose to stick together through thick and thin, and we have other dramas that use this trope to as a plot device. I am sure you can guess which ones I prefer - 😊
That said, I still love this drama and I am looking forward to DW as BMZ's arc because I want her to triumph on her own merit!

I hope so, too. If you have not watched episode 20, I won't spoil it for you, but I was hoping that some things he said to her were more of reverse psychology, making sure that he is able to protect her in the future.
Hopefully, the previews for the next 2 episodes are misleading, and he won't actually be going up against her.

Yes, these two are so good with their chemistry - very natural and comfortable with the skinship! I just hope that the previews are as usual misleading and we don't see him make things difficult for her!

I think most will feel sorry for ZYJ. I am annoyed because it's the usual guy pushing the girl away for her own good trope ;D

Yes sure! the heartache part is YZQ pushing DW away but you will see DW rising up, refusing to be beaten down.

Yeah he was leaving up to fate. If he survived, he would come back to her and apologize. So I should not say abandon.

Yeah ep 18 was really sad towards the end but not because of YZJ treated DW. Even though YZJ did abandon her, he didn't betray her. The worse heartache for DW is in ep 20.

Yeah I felt the heartache and then my pity for him turned to anger when he tortured DW even more.

We all know that DW would never let him go alone. She wanted them to stay strong together. After all, it was not just his revenge; it was for hers, too.

YZJ also saw what happened when he did try to leave her behind and go alone. The results were not good at all.

So why not stay and fight together like they decided in the beginning? If I were in that kind of situation, I would much rather live in guilt than hate the other person whole life.

I wonder if YZJ was practicing reverse psychology by telling DW to leave Yangzhou...

I didn't wait and I was wrecked at the end of ep 18, and then the heartache continued in ep 19.

I am reacting to his behavior in ep 20. He chose to be with her even before he found that the witch doctor could save him, so what's the difference if the witch doctor was now dead. He was already fully committed to DW and her to him before that.
Also, he already learned the lesson of not keeping her with him and she still got hurt. Why not stay together strong?
Letting her hate him, and thinking that he intended to kill her was the stupidest decision in my opinion. The show should have kept their relationship consistent where they communicated and shared their burdens. There's no reason why he had to carry on this stupid "I am hurting you for your own good" act after they met up again in Yangzhou.

LOL yes it’s ok! I only got angry in ep 20 after YZJ pulled more noble idiocy stunt. Even the next two episodes will not help lessen my irritation at YZJ (based on the previews)
